    I have a 2017 Forester Premium, I'm looking for a new lease on a 2020 Forester and the prices are much higher.

    So far I'm getting quotes that are 35% higher monthly pymt than I'm currently paying on my 2017. The price of the car has only gone up by under 5% so I'm not sure why there's such a huge increase in my monthly pymt.

    Interest rates have gone down down recently, yet the money factor was .0006 on the 2017 and is now .00165 on the 2020. The money factor increase raises the monthly pymt by about 20% but I can't figure out the other 15% increase, maybe there were other incentives in 2017.

    I'm getting better lease numbers on an Outback and the price of the car is $2,000 higher but I like the smaller size of the Forester.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    All leases are more expensive now, than 3 years ago. A combination of higher MF and lower RV will do that.

    No real advice to offer you - the numbers don't lie.

    Have you looked at a 2019?

    I was expecting the numbers to change but not nearly by that much. There are very few 2019 Foresters left and the numbers are only slightly lower.

    I'm not sure what to do at this point, I can try to extend the lease and hope that the money factor goes down as interest rates have gone down but I have 36k miles and now out of warranty.

    I've already reached out for quotes on the CR-V, the numbers are better but the deals are only on the 2019.

    Any information is appreciated.

    You may have to adjust your budget, and look at a different brand beyond Honda.
