Used car values are through the roof, at the moment. I'd do some independent research to find out the trade value, and compare that to the residual value. It's possible you have some positive equity in your current car.

Carvana, Vroom or CarMax will give you buy bids, and call the bank to get the lease payoff.

Just want to say thanks for the heads up! I never knew you could extract equity out of a lease. I took the easy way out and did the quick cash, but was till able to get $1,800 positive by selling it to the dealer. Ended up getting a new 2019 Mazda3 Premium for $5,400 off MSRP after discount, loyalty incentive, and "trade-in" equity. You guys rock.

Not through Mazda Credit Services; if they have a local bank or credit union who has a program, they can use that. But, we won't have their information.
