    Has anyone worked with a Toyota dealer who said they would help procure a bank loan for the lease? The monthly payment with 2.7k down for 2020 XLE for 12k/36m was 415/m. I was told the bank would put a residual vale at 70%. What am I missing??? Too good to be true.

    I had a Toyota dealer once get me a lease from a local credit union. He said they had a good program and got me a much lower monthly rate. But the problem was when I returned the car. They sent the car to a 3rd party appraiser and they got me for over $2,400 in excess wear and tear. I have had 5 Toyotas (3 RAV4's and 2 Highlanders) and never once paid a cent extra. These clowns had a list a mile long. They said that my tire tread was 1/8" too low. I had a couple of scratches on my back bumper bigger than the "width of a credit card" . Ching ching. I told them that I'm not paying their [non-permissible content removed] charges so they started threatening to sue me, and eventually lowered it to $2,000. It was a total shakedown. Never had any issue with Toyota Financial.

    Forget outside banks, always use TFS.

    Also, putting money down on a lease is not recommended. If you total that car, your insurance will pay what is owed on it but you won't get your 2.7k back.

    Plenty of Toyota dealers use US Bank, instead of TFS.

    I wouldn't hesitate to get a US Bank lease, though I'd balk at a Credit Union.
