    What makes you think there is an extra $500?

    I'm thinking about ordering a 2021 M340i xDrive. Do the dealers usually offer the same incentives to clients that place custom orders? I'm not in a hurry. Is there any reason to settle for something that is in inventory?

    Two schools of thought, completely contradictory:
    1. Not as big a discount on something that is ordered, but if I'm laying out $60K-plus for a car, I think I'd like to get exactly what I want.
    2. Dealers will negotiate bigger discounts on cars already in inventory, resulting in a better lease payment.

    3 year 10k/yr lease at $450 per month(including taxes) with $1,500 down. Is this a good deal? Can I do better? My zip code is 94587
