Yeah, you think it's "loyalty", the dealer thinks you're too lazy to shop elsewhere.

Do they actually do leasing? I could only see regular Financing. Also it appears you need to have 60 days with the PenFed account open to apply to the discount.

The lease goes through BMW. I used it on my last BMW and it worked perfectly. Most dealerships do not know about it so bring the printout.

I have had an account there for years, so i am not sure. I do know once logged into your account you simply go the link above and they give you a code, so I doubt they check.

Here's the deal I got for a 36 month, 12k/year, 2021 530i xdrive lease in 22003:

MSRP: $62,085
Sale Price: $55,325
Gross Cap Cost: $59,388.49
Cap Cost Reduction (loyalty and lease cash): $2500
Residual: $36,009.30

Original Dealer MF: .00122
MF after 7 MSDs of $700 each ($4900 total): .00087

Monthly payment: $660.80

The dealer we went to increases the MF by 1 point (.0004) to make up for their discount on the car price. We tried to get them to budge but they stated that they don't make any changes to their money factor and as a policy do not allow for the base rate because of their high discount on the car price.

They would not budge on the MF and we were left with a choice to walk or take the deal. We took the deal.

Interested in feedback on the deal and whether anyone has tips for how to deal with this type of tactic from a dealer. Especially when they tell you that's how they do business. I am in the market for another car and not sure if I should consider them again.

I don't know how they apportioned the $6700 off MSRP but (rebates vs. lease credit vs. loyalty) but they're charging me 56345 for the car. Looks like they're getting some of it back with MF. Proposal says due on delivery is 0.

The MF markup adds about $40/mo.

Thank you. I just saw your response about MF markup adding $40/month. I'll try to get them to bring it down. 1. Any advice on how I justify to them a MF of 0.00082?
2. Is it a good deal with the 0.00082?
3. Is it a good deal anyway with the higher MF of 0.00122 if they don't budge?

Tell them you want the base MF, or you'll shop elsewhere.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't sign with an inflated MF.
