Is this a different bank than TFS?
APRs do not always exactly convert to MF by dividing by 2400. When a bank uses an actual APR, the MF conversion tends to understate the MF, slightly. I'll guess that's what happened, here.

The salesperson keeps telling me he input the numbers into the computer and he is sure it is right because it is a computer (lol) Mind you, originally he said it was .0028 then after pressing him on numbers he said .00287 which is almost .0029 and makes a difference. The bank is Ally (it has tax credits putting my taxes at 1.5% vs 6.25%) so I went with them vs the .00231 at 6.25%. So does this look right to you then? Good/fair deal?

I see it more often with Ford, who also uses APRs. APRs work more like a loan, with more interest at the start, and less later.
