    I live in CT Fairfield county (06830). I'm trying to lease a Q5 premium package with base price MSRP around $46,000. It's basically a base package with only a convenience package added in. 36 months/12k. I see MF and residuals posted here but can someone please indicate a ballpark monthly lease cost for 0 down, taxes all rolled in? What is a good sale price for this car and a fair monthly lease cost? Thank you

    Thank you! I was able to negotiate pretty heavily and get 10% off MSRP. However, the fees seem a bit crazy.

    Sorry for all the questions but am planning to sign and drive tomorrow. Just need validation that these 3 fees totaling $1660 (excluding destination charge) seem valid.

    I thought the NY State doc fee was capped at $75 - I have no idea why they are imposing a $690 dealer fee on top of that.

    However, don't negotiate the fee, just ask for another $700 off the selling price to offset it.

    I’ll ask for the $690 off in addition to the 10% off MSRP and post back on what they say.

    Sorry it’s not actually called Dealer fee. On the yellow sheet it is called administrative fee. I guess that is the doc fee? In which case $690 seems very high, although I’m buying the car in Manhattan.

    They're saying even employees pay this fee and I can try to talk to sales manager when I go in to sign lease documents. I don't want to go in and play games, I'll just play ball virtually and let him know on the phone that I will walk away unless he gets rid of this fee. I'm assuming this is a way for them to make profit since they gave me a 10% discount....Will post back here if anyone is interested in the outcome!

    Sorry for all the posts but the lease calculator isn't adding up to what the dealer is quoting me.

    Is anyone able to help me calculate this?

    $43,581 sale price, 55% residual, .00028 MF, 8.125% tax, $1660 in total fees, $277.50 DMV, $500 lease cash.

    Lease calculator shows $561/mo. Dealer is quoting $573/mo. This is pretty close, maybe I am calculating incorrectly?

    What is the MSRP?
    What cap cost are you using? What about the dealer? The difference in those numbers likely accounts for the payment difference.

    I don't know what the dealer is using as cap cost. I thought it is 45% of the sale price of $43,581? Sorry for newbie questions and thanks for all the help.

    The cap cost is the negotiated selling price plus any taxes or fees you are not paying up front. The dealer should have this information.
