I was just told by one dealer a money factor of .00151 and .00131 from another, both 49% residual. San Diego County. Seems super high, even for this market?

.00111 is the base MF. Dealers may markup the rate for extra profit (.00040 max markup)

Thank you! Salesman supposedly is saying normally 5k over, but the usual end of month pitch and they'll do it for MSRP. Any opinions on what I should hold firm on for negotiation? Lower than MSRP or lower money factor?

Hi - has anyone been able to secure a lease with a MF of .00111 in December? I have been quoted by 4 separate dealers in the Dallas & Austin Texas area an MF of .00151 and they are offering MSRP. None have been willing to move off either number. Thought it odd that not one has been willing to negotiate the MF.

With such short inventory, all the leverage is with the dealers, and this is one (of many) ways they can make extra money off of you.

Just an update, in the Bay Area for the BMW X5 xDrive40i, dealerships are sticking to .00151 MF whereas farther out places like San Rafael, Concord, and Pleasanton are ok with .00111 MF.
