That's the 15K residual; they aren't adjusting for the 7.5K you've requested.

Dealer cannot alter the residual, anyway. It's fixed by the bank.

I'm still interested in how different the money factor is for a non-PHEV vs. the PHEV. As far as I can tell, the difference in the 36mo total lease payments between a $70K car with a MF of 0.00156 (non-PHEV) vs a MF of 0.00328 (PHEV) is about $7000 -- so basically the PHEV "bonus" is just taken right back from them with the higher money factor.

What do I know about car leasing and how the money flows, but is there any reason the MF should be higher for a PHEV vs. non-PHEV other than that the leasing company wants to take the federal lease incentive for itself (give it to you as a "bonus" with one hand while taking it right back with the other)?

Well.. you can't negotiate the base MF down. That is set by the bank.
