    For a lease on a 2023 ID.4 S, my LA County VW dealer is charging tax in the $8000 “lease cash”, ie folding the tax on this into lease payment.

    Is this correct?

    Yes, it is a taxable incentive.

    You can choose to pay it up front, if you'd like.

    We only have residuals up to 15K; after that, you'll have to "buy" the extra miles at a per mile rate, and have that deducted from the calculated 15K residual.
