I agree 100% with the dealer, in this case.

But, that's been true for any model of Subaru, not just the Solterra.

So I got the dealer down to $1600 down and $206 a month for a 36/10. Is it worth it to see if they will accept MSD's in lieu of down payment? I know they are marking up the MF by 1% and they won't budge on that because they are "losing money on the discount" blah blah blah.
Dealer fee is $799 so they aren't losing money ;-)

They don't get the MSDs, the leasing bank does. So, that wouldn't make any sense to them.

Now, it's May, and the programs might have changed.

Not necessarily. You'll never know what profit they'll accept. @michaell was just quantifying the effective discount you were receiving, given the incentive the dealer receives from Subaru
