There are some really beautiful views on this route. There are also plenty of covered bridges, one-lane roads, abrupt changes in road surface, and twisties galore. I even managed to find us a decent place for lunch, just above the Delaware Water Gap, at the spot where the Appalachian Trail crosses from PA into NJ. The route does take us through the edge of Easton 2x and through the heart of Bangor (small town) and Nazareth. Consider them transit stages of a sort.
Anyway, as promised I will write up the details of where/when we'll meet (Lambertville, NJ, see above for directions; goal of taking off by 9:00 AM) and post here, as well as sending them to paisan to post on his website.
Should be fun.

100+ cars.

Unfortunately my XT6 AT had to be flatbedded home, subarus CANNOT go over 9" curbs at 55mph w/o damaging the suspension!
-mike
Nice photos, but I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your XT6. So, your post begs the question, what happened?
BTW, who's tricked out Forester is that?
Ken
-mike
lark6, paisan, hypov and myself were the Edmunds crew that were there. Although hypov arrived as I was leaving.
Ed, my wife is thinking twice about going with me on the drive next weekend. She doesn't like too many twisties and was getting freaked out with the way you were describing them. :-) I said to just get some Dramamine.
-Dennis
Had errants to run, and... just when I thought I'm free the "Go get this with the wagon" strikes.

The blue Forester (an '01 L) belongs to a guy named Shawn (Sean?) from the Princeton, NJ area. There are a lot of Foresters roaming around Princeton but I'd never seen his before. He goes by screen name momoney627 on i-club.
Ed
for the Co-Pilots... Co-Pilots

Also, Ed, what time are we supposed to meet in NJ?
Thanks,
Mark
BTW, looked like fun at Rallispec! Maybe, next time.
I'm actually in NJ. I think we're meeting at 9:00.

paisan: Sort of expected you'd be out after Saturday. I imagine someone could bring you as navvie but you may just want to go watch the Giants Stadium auto-x or work on the XT6s(?).
Ed
Bummer about the XT6? Did you forget you were not driving the Troopah? :-(

I'll keep you posted.

Once again, I can't make it(-: I'll be in Charlotte, NC that weekend. Let me know what your target dates are for next month, this way I can try and put it on the calendar now.
Sunday Back Road Drive:
Dave, sounds good. Let me know what time. Also, did you get a CB, or a FRS radio?
Mark
right now, FRS.
I might have a CB, don't know yet.
I haven't figure the time yet too.
And, you might be the only OB there. I may have to go with the OBS on standby.
-Dave
It looks like I'll have both, CB and FRS(I borrowed my co-workers).
Paisan, if you want to come along as a passnger for once, you are more than welcome.
Mark
-mike
I don't blame you though. It's probably a little more fun in the twisties, albeit a little slower.
Unless we decide to take the OB and be the only one with dual sunroofs.
Decisions, decisions. :-)

The show will be at Northwood University in West Palm Beach from Friday March 22nd through Sunday March 24th. Each day, the show opens at 10am and closes at 6pm. If you want to display your car, you can bring it any one of those days. Space is limited and it will be on a first come first serve basis. This is a great opportunity to show off your Subaru and to see what other Subaru owners have been doing to their rides.
Please email me if you're interested or with any questions or if you need any more info.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing you there.

Sebastien, have you posted this on the i-club?
http://i-club.com/forums/
There's a Southeast Forum there. You could even try the Mid-Atlantic and Tri-State Area Forums as well. A few NY area folks have made trips to FL for meets.

I'll meet up with you 7:30 ~ 7:45am @ the spot [off last exit before OBX] we met last.
As for now, FRS channel 14.35
-Dave
Sounds good. Is that Channel 14? The radio I have does not do side channels. Just in case I emailed you my home & cell phone #'s.
Mark
I'll make it 14.00
-Dave
see ya,
Ed

Looking at the map Lambertville doesn't appear to be that far from Flemington. It usually takes me 45 min to an hour to Flemington Subaru on a Sat.
Mark
I'll check my GPS this even against my recorded avg. speed and see what it says.
I think Mark and I could knock it in an hour.
-Dave
Just checking in.See you at the usual spot at 7:40-45.
Any changes, give me a call.
Mark
BTW, I think we can be there by 9. We'll just have to drive Paisan style:-)
7:40~45
FRS = 14
CB = 20
I'd e-mail you earlier.
Hmmm Paisan style... only Paisan can do that ;-)
I think 70~75 will get us there in good time.
-Dave
-mike
I'm up an leaving in 20 min.
-Dave
Patti - You have to go on a drive one of these days!
svx - Hi Bew :-) and welcome to the Subaru Crew. I'm not sure if we have anyone here in your area. We may have one or two.
You can also check the New England Chapter at www.i-club.com.
