Would it have started by this Thursday, 1/30? I can take that day off.

Weekends look tough right now, the kids keep getting sick and we're nursing colds.

I'll have to wait and see. Who else can go? Loosh? Hutch? Mike?

I would like to get together with the Crew, though.

rushing around like nuts today. When I get a chance to review the calendar, I'll respond.
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
I'm up for any of the days. What ever works best for everyone is fine by me. I think juice wants to go too. I think it's only a 3-day show, which seems really short.

  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
juice, Mike Smith, Mike O'Donnell [(declansdad) he and I went last year]. I tried e-mailling David Sattler (dsattler), but I no longer have a current e-mail address for him. So, David, if you're out there... let us know!

Maybe we can get good size group going!

    Bob

Lemme see if I can take leave from work, but no objections here.

  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
    I also e-mailed Hutch!

Is Friday the day everyone wants to go? It's OK with me, but let's decide.

I'd love to go, Bob and Co. Bob, I did get your email, by the by.
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
I did a search here on Edmunds to get your profile, and noticed your e-mail address there was different from two earlier e-mail addresses I had for you. I think you stuck "creative" in there.

    Bob
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
    Okay, so far we have:

From Maryland: Michael Donnelly (declansdad), David Sattler (dsattler) and myself. Hopefully Loosh & juice. Waiting to hear from Hutch and Mike Smith.

From NY: Mike (paisan), Dave (hypov).

How about folks from PA? Ed (lark6)? Did I miss anyone? Fib, are you too far away to join us?

So, is it definitely Friday 2/7, and if so what time? Paisan, what time can you and Dave get down here?

    Bob
  • lark6lark6 Member Posts: 2,565
Still hoping to find time for NY April 25 or thereabouts.

  • hypovhypov Member Posts: 3,068
I'm good to go on that day. :)

Haven't nailed down a time with Mike though.
Lets see, NY->Baltimore is ~200miles. Going on "Paisan Drive" should have us down there in ~1.5hours. ;-)
What time does the show open anyway?

If it was shown at Portland, could it also show up at Baltimore? I would think Portland would be on about the same level of "national show importance" as Baltimore, certainly no higher...

Just got a newspaper insert on the Baltimore show. Besides the all-new F-150, it looks like the new Nissan Maxima, Quest and Titan will be on display. There was no real "new" news from Subaru, although they did show a pix of the Baja Sport, so I expect that to be there.

From up north. Hypov and I will figure out a time, I figure we could roll out of NY/NJ @ 9amish which puts us down there at 11-12.

    -mike
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
That's enough new stuff that it's worth the trip to see, so I just put in a leave request. So long as it's approved I'm there.

Bob - want to meet up? You're right on my way up.

Just need to get a final tally on who's going & what time to meet.

  • hypovhypov Member Posts: 3,068
    I'm here! YooHoo! Here I am! ... :D

Time: Since I'm riding down with Mike, I'll go with his 12:00noon ETA.

    -Dave
  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
I'll have to look at the GPS/Street Atlas and get a better timing on it. What time do all the Baltimore people plan on cutting out? I figure after the show we can hit dinner in the inner harbor or something?

    -mike
  • lucien2lucien2 Member Posts: 2,984
so you all plan the timing. When I can get there, I'll get there, and call Juice once I am inside.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Yeah, we'll exchange cell phone numbers, maybe meet at the Subaru stand at noon? That's easy to remember.

I want to see a lot of stuff, though, so I'm planning on basically spending at least 4-5 hours browsing the show. So yeah, maybe meet up for dinner after that.

Let's "hope" it's there, but I'm not holding my breath...

Juice, are you going to swing by my place, so that we go in together? If so, do you remember how to get there?

    Bob
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
I think I have directions, but is that detour still there? Why don't you e-mail me a fresh set.

Yes, I'll come by and we'll head up together. Maybe if Mike Smith goes he can meet us there too.

Do you want to drive? Train? Some other way?

    -juice
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
To the Balt show? There are no trains near me, that go to Baltimore. It's about a 20 mile drive from my place.

No, the detour is gone. The built a new bridge to replace that old narrow bridge. I'll email you directions to be safe.

It looks like: Mike (paisan), Dave (hypov), Michael Donnelly, David Sattler, juice and myself. Loosh will hook up with us at some point.

Hutch is iffy, as he's been having some back problems. Hopefully he can make it. I haven't heard from Mike Smith; I did email him. I'll try again, as he has several email addresses, and I only sent it to his "Subie" email address.

So, Friday 2/7, noonish at the Subie booth, we'll meet. Okay with everyone?

The Friday weather forecast is for snow. Actually, it's supposed to start Thursday night. According to the weather station, the storm currently looks like it's going to go right up the Jersey turnpike.

Paisan, are you and Hypov still planning to come if it snows? The Jersey turnpike and I-95 could be a nightmare if there are any snow-related accidents. Also, it could turn out to be a much longer drive than you planned.

We're still good to go :)
We'll probably adjust our departure time.

    -Dave
  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
That won't stop us. May leave a hair longer departure time. :)

Also could bob or juice or someone who will be there drop me an e-mail with their cell #?

Mine is 917-214-6313 just so that we can get in touch if need be.

    -mike
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Are you kidding? I expect everyone to get there early. Less traffic! :-)

Mine's 316-AJAJ, area code 202. I'll have it on all day Friday.
