Sounds like the WRX wagon may have been a tad too small. Congrats!
Manual or auto? What color? What dealer?
Bob (who is very jealous)
Sorry I missed the chat. Had to go a last minute road trip to the beach. A friend of mine was getting rid of a TV set and we needed one, bingo, free 25" TV. 6 hours round trip drive, but I went ahead and got a lot of other things done while I was at it.
Dave: congrats. I do recall telling you it was your destiny, given the number of Daves in the Crew. Actually, it's nice to re-balance that, because a few Daves haven't checked in for a while (Dave Chen, wdb, Dave Zartman).
Now if you tell me you got it in Atlantic Blue, I might have to buy its clone for me!

I've got one as well. Silver in the 5MT version. Just got done giving it it's first bath! ;-)
When you get a chance, please give us your impressions. I don't need to read them but I know the folks that don't have one will appreciate it! LOL!
Cheers!

Pat's ordeal puts it in perspective...it's only a car and it's replaceable.
Pat, I'm praying for you and your family. May you daughter have a smooth recovery.

You're all added to our prayers.

The next 48 hours are really crucial, please keep up the prayers, she needs all the help she can get.
JimmyP thank you for your incredibly kind offer, I will call if the need arises but the army and the local church are benbing over backwards to be of help.
Thanks to all Pat.
Bob
She was looking over my shoulder when I expressed concern, and now she is concerned as well. Both our prayers are with you.

Anyway there is a little improvement in her lung funtion, last night at one point she was getting 100% oxygen which is very bad, today her lung funtion has improved to the point where they have the oxygen now reduced to 60%even the medical are a little more optimistic, although they caution she has still a long way to.
But she is going in the right direction up and not down, she started to have a fever today and that is causing a little bit of concern.
I cannot praise the dedication of the medical staff enough, especially the nurses, they have been absolutely super, they take the time to address our concerns, they answer all our questions as best they can and there have been many, some I am sure stupid to them.
Well I am off to bed I have had 4 hours sleep in the last 48 hours, Rita has had none hopefully she will be relaxed enough to sleep at the hospital tonight, I am only checking the MTM thread.
Again guys from both of us, thanks and keep the prayers going, you have no idea how connected we feel with the outpouring of concern from this group none of you that I have ever met in person.
Pat.
You and Rita must be exhausted. I can't believe you manage to post in light of ths situation.
Please hang in there. I've been thinking about you guys all day and will continue to do so until you're in the clear. I'm sure the rest of the Crew feels the same way.
Ken
More later from Utah.

New Subie is a manual, regal blue, the only manual GT Limited wagon in the Baltimore area. Wanted Atlantic Blue, but none around and none shown on the computer as being on the way.
Impressions: at 2,000 rpm in fifth gear with four people and a weekend's worth of camping gear in the back, no downshiftibng necessary. Engine pulls like crazy, no noticeable turbo lag. Interior quality is very high. Space where nav screen would go has warning label not to put plastic stuff in it, because it gets too hot. Odd. And, of course, about the only thing I could think of to put in there would be my sunglasses.
Sunroof is great, shifter is rubbery, I'm definitely going to get the short throw shifter. Stereo is adequate, no more. Leather is very comfortable, not hard and slippery like the leather in our Toyota Sienna. No complaints from rear seat passengers (children).
Drove it back to back with a 2005 WRX, and the engines felt completely different. Legacy much smoother and more even in power, but step on the gas pedal even half way and the revs (and speed) climb fast. Very nice engine growl.
My daughter and I stood on the jetty yesterday and watched the horizon - focusing our energy and prayers to you both and your daughter. Rest, eat and give each other a hug once in awhile. She's going to need you both heathly when she's out of bed and ready to go home!
Love to you all - Patti (and Lauren who's posting with me)
Bob
Get alot of reat. The Subaru Crew is a family, a very good family.

Good to hear that your baby is doing a bit better. She will always be your baby, no matter how old she is.... Now get some rest, food, etc. so that you stay on your feet.
Bring us more good news tomorrow - that's an order!!!
Steve
When the doctor left yesterday the percentage was 70% going in she still was not oxygenating her blood, today she came and the percentage is down to 40% her sateration is in the mid nineties which is good, and she now oxygenating her blood some.
This doctor confessed that as late as yesterday they did not think she was going to make it, now they are more optimistic, the doctor told us that she is the sickest patient they have seen in over a year.
But now they tell that they are worried about brain damage from the high acid content, I cannot accept that God will allow her to recover only to be brain damaged, so we ask keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming they being heard.
Cheers Pat.
We'll keep sending positive thoughts to put her on a path to a full and complete recovery.
Take care of yourselves.
DaveM
You got me back in church for the first time in a few weeks! Early service!
Dave: you lucky duck, you have the exact car I'd order, down to the color and tranny. I'll never forgive you. ;-)
I've gotta update my mileage chart. I did a last minute run to the beach condo last week and just filled up and the mileage was excellent. I'm going yet again on Thursday, this time with the family, but I now have Wi-Fi hooked up so I won't miss the chat!
