8 passenger Sienna CE with Pkg #1 + A4 Extra Mile Pkg A
$23,400 ( I took 0% financing instead of $1,000 rebate)
+ Leather ($1200)
+ Alarm ($200)
+ 7 yr / 75k / $0 deductible warranty ($1000)
+ TTL
= $27,604.00 walk out.
I did all negotiation online and just walked into the dealership on Saturday and bought the car. Very painless experience. It took just under 2 hours to complete the entire transaction. I was very happy. I thought the deal was good considering the ridiculous Gulf States Toyota markup we have to pay in Houston. What do you guys think?

I bought 2006 Sienna LE with #2 option + CF (carpet) at $850 below invoice plus $2,000 rebate in Indianapolis. After I bought a car from that dealer, 2 of my friends bought from the same dealer. They also gave me $50 referal bonus after my friend's purchase. If you need more information, let me know your email. Thanks.
If you don't want certain options, either don't buy a vehicle that includes them or insist they be included at no charge. The damned things are built in Indiana and you can order one to your specs.
Sienna invoices (and option packages) are confusing. One of the problems is that they always include advertising fees. Though legitimate, they vary by region and are never included in Edmunds' (or other price guides).
I am looking for the best price anyone has gotten recently for an XLE with pkg#7.....
Thanks a bunch, I'm real close to pulling the trigger...
MSRP: $33,619
$29,892.47 Sales Price
-1,500.00 Rebate
$28,392.47 Sales Price, net of rebate
(exluding sales tax and title fees)
Would you help telling more about your deal? Is your XLE AWD or FWD? and the name of your salesman and your purchase date?
Thanks,
Ho
The Sienna is fantastic. Great ride with all the features I could want, except for a DVD. The dealer wanted some ridiculous figure like $1900 for a 8.5" screen. Went to Circuit City and they could install a top of the line Sony with a 10.5" screen for $1000.00. My only con I can find so far is the arm rests. In order to buckle the seat belts you have to move the arm rest. Problem is the arm rests locks at any position you move it to. You have to then raise it straight up, push it all the way back down until it clicks, and then put it at desired spot. I guess a small price to pay for a great car. :shades:
Got it from Capitol Toyota in San Jose, CA
I went in asking to pay $35,400... but I also shopped around on the net to 7 other nearby dealerships til I found two willing to negotiate that low...
In order to do this, they all need to have a comparable car.. very close to the same price - though options may vary...
Based on what Toyota offers as options, you'll find many differing by only a few hundred dollars...
George
Was it factory installed or dealer installed? Part of the existing audio system, or an add on?
What did you pay for it?
I want to get it, but I haven't received a straight answer from the dealer...

I could do without the extra mile and shield pkg options, but almost all dealers are adding these on and I can't find any without.
He's at $24,307 and I calculated invoice from KBB & Edmunds at $23,915. He replied that this is the additional cost for the Southeast Gulf States Toyota out of Houston). The difference you are not seeing is the distributors profit on the vehicles. The three sources you used state the the prices will be higher in GST and SET regions. I don't like it any more than you do.....
That's $392 over invoice. Anyone ever heard of the distributor getting their profits? I thought what KBB & Edmunds published were the correct figures. I know I've heard of advertising or marketing fees, but not distributor fees/profits.
Any insight? Thanks in advance.

Depreciation is about $8,000 for the first year. I would suggest negotiating in the $30-32K window depending on condition of van-dents, smell, paint swirls, carpet stains, engine compartment, etc.
We did puchase the extended warranty to 7yrs/100,000 miles for $1650. We had it included in the purchase price, so out monthly pmts just went up a bit. Never got an extended warranty before, but the cars are so complicated nowadays!!!

Edmunds Forums are a good tool, and fun, too. I check 'em almost every day. About the Forums; just remember there is a big $$$ difference between 'priced' and 'purchased'. I live up the road from you in Seattle. Try walking into a dealership after a Boeing engineer or Microsoft programmer, and get the prices some Forum members post here.......
Does 2007 Sienna have new transmission as well? Would this constitute introduction of new model and might be plagued with the problems as any vehicle experience in its first year?
These list invoice price but edmunds.com does not have invoice price. Where can I find true/unbiased invoice price?
Also, in your experience when would the dealers be eager to sell 2007 instead of unloading 2006's. There are still a bunch of 2006's out there.
Other than end of the month, are there slow months for cars as are for real estate? Probably, December is not good month because 2007's are not readily available. As the inventory builds up, you'll have more choices.

Could you please tell us which dealership? Was it in the Portland area? Thanks!
"Illinois Residents - Dealer profit is not limited to amounts charged over invoice. Wisconsin Residents - Actual dealer cost is less because there are, or may be, factory holdbacks, rebates, incentives, or other discounts to the dealer. Maryland Residents - Notice to Buyer: The invoice may be higher than the true, final cost to the dealer."
They're required to tell straight forward truth to Wisconsin Residents only :surprise:
i got a final quote of $31,165 on the Toyota Sienna XLE with Package #7
is it a good price ? should i go for it ?
thank you.
Don't ever go to Koons Toyota. They will lie to you on the phone, do a classic bait and switch.
Are they talking about Toyota advertising or marketing fees? If so, are they on an invoice so I can verify and are they non-negotiable?
One dealer calls them "port profits" and the other "ad fees". Makes me suspicious.
Thanks in advance.
I have not looked for a vehicle in some time. I am trying to gather information on what is a reasonable price for a 2006
Sienna with PKG 1. How much over or under invoice is reasonable for an end of year product?
I live in central texas, but will travel to OKC. If your know of a good dealer.
Sounds great! Please send me info if you could
e-mail sportsman339@current.net. Thanks a lot!
We bought our 2006 Sienna LE with pkg#2 and floormats (Atlanta, GA). Out the door price of $24250 with $2000 rebate. Nautical Blue. Also bought the Toyota Premium warranty for $909 incl tax. Though we had good prices at 3 dealerships, 2006 in our area is all but gone. Most only have 2 LE's left.
