Could anyone give me some further clarification on the models?
Is there a difference between the XLE LTD (GST) and the Limited?
Thanks
Can you share with us who was the dealer you got your car from. I am looking to get one soon. Thanks.
Thanks
I am interested in getting a FWD Limited with power folding third row seats, daytime running lights, navigation with back up camera, and if I can afford it, satellite radio. It looks to me like package #2 includes both nav and dvd, which I don't want. Does anyone know if it is possible (or financially intelligent) to just buy the nav?
Also, does anyone know which radio service is better?
Thanks
Jenny
This may be very dumb, but what are these and why would I want them?
Insight much appreciated.
Jenny
My proce before tax & before rebate (1500) was 32507
I don;t remeber the exact numbers of the others, tax is 7.75% here.
But....why would one want to pay extra for this? Is this something that should have been part of the car and they just made it an add-on, or is it unnecessary? Anyone know?
Without them people might scratch the paint each time they step in the vehicle.
The hood protector I'm not sure, as I don't have that. I'd pass, though.
Far from perfect, but they were free.

Their website indicates the delivered internet price is $31,408 and that includes freight and MD inspection, but does not include tax, title, tags, and a $99 optional dealer procesing charge. As a newbie in the world of new car purchases, I was wondering whether this is a reasonable price to pay and whether anyone here has had any experience dealing with Fitzgerald Auto Mall? I'm not local to any of their outlets, but the Toyota dealer in my part of western MD (Shaffer Toyota) does not have the greatest reputation of taking care of their customers.
I wanted to buy a Toyota from them but 355 Toyota (DARCARS) beat their price by about $250.
They were OK, too, but if I had to choose, I'd say the Fitz experience was a bit better. Quicker and a little less pressure on buying add ons.
08 Sienna LE 7 Pass, FWD, Package #2 + RL + CN + CF + F1 + P4 + I1 and G1.
the lowest quote is $25.957.
Is this a good deal?
Please let me know, I am going to buy this vehicle soon.
Thanks.
I am going to close the deal in a few hours: what do you think?
imited XLE Sienna, 2wd,
EVP#2 (QL),
HZ,
TH,
RM,
FE
floormats and sills
satellite hookup
total 36,099
(Including rebate right?)
$100 rebate
$2604 dc taxes and
$225 registration in DC
Used this to talk with other dealers and someone offered to
take off $1000 for a OTD TOTAL of $38.028.
Sounds like the best I can get in the metro area...is it?
Thanks!!!!
OTD total is then 39,028.
I got my van at Libertyville, IL.
Shop through internet and you can find a best deal.
I am really excited and happy to pay that less price and got the best deal.
I don't know if I made the right decision but it is done!
Lesson 2: get a costco offer first: they have a policy of giving $445 over invoice, plus tax, tags and a 100 fee. With this number, you can start negotiating with the others. Unfortunately, I did it backwards and could have saved myself a lot of work.
So! I got an offer from a costco associated dealership for the XLE limited, extra value package #2, HID lights & cruise control (they all had it, even though I didn't want it), running lights, mat and sills, power 3rd, emissions, and satellite ready hook up for a total of $39,028.00 WITH a "comp" on service deals that normally cost 369, he said, for a free loaner car, premium service (50% discount I think on regular maintenance), free yearly alignment and their payment of a $500 deductible if we have damage in a crash that is our fault. (?!) This deal was $260 higher than another one from a more distant dealer, who might have come down more, but in the end I decided it would be good to have a dealer/service nearby.
But! (learn from my mistake) another dealership then called me and offered to try to beat it -- And then, another. I am sure I could have gotten bidding going -- we are at the end of the month and finally! I had some numbers to work with. But I had given the 500 deposit to costco people and will stay with it. I figure I won't get any bait-and-switch or last minute surprises because they have to stay in cost-co's favor.
Thought I'd share : )
Thanks
I'm just starting looking. I think I'd like a Limited AWD Sienna, but I have no idea what so many of the abbreviations mean, and even when I look them up on the Toyota site it's hard to keep them all straight and remember them. I'd like to avoid going to the dealer until I know exactly which features I want. Can you help me decide which Sienna is right, and which features are important?
This is what I KNOW I want:
AWD
DVD
bluetooth
moonroof
heated seats
sunshades
power doors
satellite radio (maybe)
i want to be able to play from my iPod
I would like the de-icing options, whatever they are, but it sounds good
I do NOT want the Toyota nav system.
I have 2 small kids and need a lot of flexibility with the seating, storage, etc.
What other features do you consider important, and which models do they come with? I'm not sure if I should get a XLE and add features or go straight for the LTD.
I've checked out Fitzmall.com mentioned on this site - can you buy from them if you are nowhere near their outlets? Do they have arrangements with local dealers?
I submitted a request on costco.com but was really hoping that would send some quotes my way - all it has done is generate phone calls from dealers. I'd rather see some email quotes first.
I live in the Seattle Eastside area if that makes any difference.
Thank you!
Again, i was lucky to get that price, I hope it is not highly possible for someone to get this price, but I was fortunate enough to get this.
Check with the Internet Dept of Libertyville Toyota, IL
if else
I can refer you send a mail to it.mohd@gmail.com
Good Luck!!
I have a CE... if I had my druthers, I would definitely want dual power sliders, and power hatch. I'm a foster parent, so I don't have children all of the time, so an integrated DVD system is not something that I'd need.... however, that is probably something you'd need with your two kids. Check and see about the power third row seats; I wouldn't mind having those. The CE is the base model of the Sienna, it doesn't have all those goodies like privacy glass, power sliding doors, etc. Basically, you can get a lot of what you want even with an LE, if you work it right. Note that I said "a lot", not all, so think long and hard before you make that decision. If I were in the position to make a different choice, I'd definitely go for the XLE. 4WD, though, not AWD. I think (although I'm not sure) that AWD comes with those pesky run-flats, too, and from all I've heard, you definitely don't want those!
Best wishes and happy hunting!
I'd suggest that the price paid be compared to MSRP or invoice for the vehicle, and then show what rebates were deducted from that.
Example:
MSRP 30,000
Invoice (including destination charge) 28,000
I paid 28,500 before rebates of 2000 were applied.
Note that the tax would be computed on the 28,500 (not 26,500 if rebates were applied first).

Thanks for your time

Thanks
i just got 2008 LE 8 seat with floor mats new tag (tax my city is 6.5) the total price out the door 25,599
(basic LE 8 seat)
XLE FWD with package 2 and other junk add-ons:
Dealer MSRP $32,944
Dealer Invoice: $29,832
Edmunds Invoice: $29,159
All prices include destination. What am I missing? How do other work with this?
MODEL TRANSMISSION MSRP UNBELIEVABLE PRICE*
2008 CE #5326 Automatic $26,001 $20,977
2008 LE #5336 Automatic $27,666 $22,977
2008 XLE #5346 Automatic $31,401 $28,977
(8 seat price defrent with 7 seat)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------
I paid for the 2008 LE 8 seat + floor mat + 200 new tag + dealership fee of $698.50+ tax 6.5 + $24.00 electronic filing fee = $25,599
As for your $1K difference, I'm wondering if the Internet invoices are adding in the current $1k customer incentive cash (or low-rate financing) that is available through 3-31-08. If their "offers" are assuming you'll take Toyota financing, that might explain the difference. You might also check to see if the dealer is adding in some advertising fees or such; I think many/most dealerships in Toyota's Gulf States region will add for that, although I don't think it appears on the sticker.
One of the bad things about the proliferation of online pricing sites is that it seems each site has a slightly different total than the other, and Toyota seems to have so many layers of options that getting a precise matchup is often very hard if not impossible. That makes it easier for any one dealership to dismiss an "Internet Invoice" claim as bogus.
Edmunds TMV doesn't include EF (listed at 1125/1499 inv/ret on other sites). Invoice at other sites seems to be consistent at $25,871, $1K less if you take current customer cash rather than low APR financing. OK is considered in the Gulf Toyota region, which imposes an extra $55 destination charge over the base $685.
Edmunds generally projects target prices for Siennas at approx 3.8% over invoice: Using that as a base, invoice of $25,871, that leads me to guesstimate an Edmunds price of $26,854, which actually sounds just a bit high to me. That ends up giving the dealer $983 + 2% HB ($517) on the base MSRP, for a total of exactly $1,500 profit. I don't think I could find a dealer that would do a deal for $26,000, so a "middle of the road" number ends up being about $26,400 OTD. Even at that, $1,046 to the dealer sounds like I'm being pretty generous ($529 over inv + $517 HB). Thoughts?
(Note: I will be paying taxes and license fees in a separate transaction, not financed, so OTD price is my entire expense to the dealer. I mention that because some posters include tax and other charges in their OTD prices, which wouldn't be a proper comparison for me).
Would appreciate any feedback on experiences on Oklahoma Cita area Toyota dealerships, and thoughts about pricing strategy above.
Thanks,
soonerdave
Last May the lowest price I saw on the EX-L was $29,052. And compared to the Sienna you gave up a trip computer, tow prep package, and crossbars.
Honda is truly dealing now.
I realize one or two datapoints does not a trend make, but it was interesting to us that the whole "test drive experience" was much more favorable on the Sienna side than the Odyssey side...not to mention the fact that the Sienna "won" the informal "test drive" tryout both in my eyes and my wife's...

It wasn't just package #2 - Don't overlook that he had the UL - Audio Upgrade- that's $2,881 inv/$3,665 msrp...
Factor in $1500 rebate and OTD price was $27,418.
It's been hard to get internet quotes from Toyota dealerships in NC...wondering if this is a decent price.
