That last one reminds me of the Yahoo Forester Club's founder, Trey, who rolled his Forester over a while ago.
Mind you, he had a huge lift kit, taller springs, and tall, knobby tires, so it's not even close to stock.
Anyhow, what was interesting was how well it held up. None of the glass even broke! From the photo you could see only the roof rack and some sheet metal damage. It was rather remarkable.
Actually, I cheated by doing a View | Page Source in Netscape to figure out how to insert my OB.
Now here's what I did after I cheated. I went to my photopoint page and viewed the picture I wanted to post. I right-clicked it and choose Copy Link Location. I then went back to my Edmunds post and pasted the link. You're not done yet though. You have to flag it as an image by inserting img src= at the beginning of the link. And then you need to put a < > around the whole link.
Here's an example (replace the parenthesis with the < > chars):
I also found that Edmunds doesn't allow words over 100 characters - it reminds you when you click on Post My Message. This link is pretty close and I actually had to edit out a &sequence=0 section just to get it to stop complaining.
That error message is also generated when a URL has spaces in tags where it shouldn't. I thought it was a bug too but I think my problems were spaces where they didn't belong. The spaces were artifacts of copy and paste operations.
Nice looking machine; hope you've got a snow blower for that concrete helicopter landing pad of a driveway.
My OB is the base model (non-limited version). The inserts in the wheels have a darker greyish color, not the gold that is on the limiteds.
That launch pad of a driveway is huge. When we had the garage built last summer, I thought I wouldn't need a snow blower. Ha! Was I wrong! With my wife pregnant (due in May), she wasn't able to help me shovel. Thankfully, we only got our snow in December and haven't had much since (as you can tell from the LACK of it in my pics). I'll have to get another pic up that has the garage and launch pad so you can get a true feel for how big it is.
Easy way to get around the URL problem. Fill in the title of the message and then post it. Next, edit it and paste your original message into it. If you have two URLs after each other (provided they're not 100 characters when you add the "img src=" tag), add a "br" tag in between them.
That's how I've been able to get my messages with pictures in with the formatting that I want. If you add a URL and post the message right away, you'll notice that WebX adds a bunch of break and paragraph tags, hence messing up the formatting. BTW, it's not a bug. This was done for a reason.

I usually find that my posts get the extra html formatting only when I post from Netscape. Go figure! (edit: but only when I post a link or pic)
OB Spoiler: I gotta admit that I actually prefer the look of the OB with the spoiler. Without the spoiler or with the deflector just doesn't look right to me.
Did you say an inch? my heart bleeds for you,I think you need to live in Ottawa for while to get a realty check, 4 to 5 inchs is considered a light snowfall here. Ha! ha!. Cheers Pat.
We haven't really had any measurable snow since December - and that's when we got about 40"+ for the month. Since then, hardly any snow. Actually, we've had more rain than anything.
Yesterday's snow (all 1.5" of it) was the first time I had to shovel since December. So, I'll take whatever Mother Nature gives us for snow, including this lowly inch or so. ;-)
with hondafreak. 1" is nothing. I wouldn't even be bothered withshoveling that little. It's only after atleast 10" before I start to notice. hahahaha....
Paul, a minor housekeeping note.. if you would, please repost this thread in Modifications so others will see it. Let's keep just photos here. Thanks everyone. ..Mike
Very sharp, Serge. Can't say I've ever seen a White Birch GT sedan (or wagon) on the road. No I'm even more disappointed Susan didn't let you drive it when we had lunch (I'm sure you were too).
juice driving (what did you expect?), Mike Smith riding shotgun, Loosh, looking over Mike's shoulder—and wishing he was riding shotgun, Patti's behind juice. The others? I think they may be Paisan's friends?
was that a driving school deal you were taking pictures at? if so where in BC is it (it looks south of surrey)? can you give me some info? do they let americans participate? i live in seattle and am looking for a performance driving school deal to go to.
It's in Delta, BC, actually. Not too far from the 49th parallel. Yes! They do allow Americans to participate. There were actually 2 cars from WA state this time around. You do have to be a member of the BMW car club of British Columbia to participate though (BMW ownership not required). The membership costs are not very high actually (CDN$35 for a newcomer), and the driving school prices are extremely reasonable. Have you attended one of these classes before? If so, there is an advanced driving school session at Mission Raceway park on April 17th. Registration cut-off date is April 1st.
i have never done any driving courses, just drivers ed when i was 15. i have been to vancouver and surrey more times than i can count. a bunch of my friends go to western in bellingham and between the 19th and 21st years of our lives we would always head to surrey or vancouver to party.
i'll check out the links. speaking of performance driving, when is the vancouver grand prix (f1)?

Brian: I like your non-gold wheels better. At least the gold is more subtle than what Jeep uses, for example.
