    "I got a 07 Accord V6 EX-L Sedan for $22,500. Has every option except nav. I believe I got a good deal. Also 2.9% for 3 years."

    Is that possible?

just got a LX i4 AT for 16763 plus freight, TTL and $49 for paperwork. Might have done better, but my time has a value and this deal was really easy.

My only problem was that I found my Passat I might have wanted to trade has a title problem. We just moved to DC and retitled. DC listed 1000 miles instead of 81000 miles, so carfax says speedo rollback. We already got a corrected title today but I suspect the blot stays on carfax. Sooo, no wholesaler will touch the car for anywhere near what it is worth. So some private party will get a pretty good deal.

What kind of prices are being had in the Missouri area, KC specifically but can work with St Louis also.

    thank you in advance!
  • louisnlouisn Member Posts: 110
That must be the case for the Maryland deal of 22,500 for the EX-L V6 I read about on the Drive Accord forum!! There must be a trade involved.

Original internet quote from Joliet. Valley (Aurora) moved within $150 after giving them the lowest quote. Brillant (Crystal Lake) said they would match. I ended up purchasing at Lisle. Hope that helps.

Could you please tell which dealership you bought it from?
    Thx

Try Mike Patton in LaGrange Georgia. Best OTD price I have found so far. Please tell them Bob Mc in Kansas told you about them.

I posted the quote $24,981 OTD from McDavid Honda @Houston for the 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 AT without Nav. I promised to keep you guys informed. That's why I'm writing this.

Ok, I've just picked up this baby this afternoon. Working with folks at McDavid Honda @Houston is really enjoyable. I got the quote from a internet sales manager and he honored what he said when I came. Here's the detailed invoice:

    Selling price: $23,284
    Documentary: $55
    State insp. $21
    State sales tax (6.25%): $1,455.25
    Dealer inventory tax: $60.68
    Lic. & Reg. Fees: 105.30
    Total: $24,981

Everything was great until I entered the financing office. The financing guy tried to sell the extended warranty, and all kinds of insurance including the life insurance. I said 'NO' to everything. Unfortunately, the APR went up to 8.34%. I asked him about this high rate. He said, if I agreed to buy the $850 extended warranty 72-month/100,000 miles, the rate would go down to 6.07%. By other words, it would be + $6 for each month for 36 months. So, I decided to favor the low APR. I thought it could be not a good choice, but it should be a peace in mind for the next 6 years.

In short, the total price was $25,831 in which $24,981 for the car and $850 for the extended warranty.
    Down pmt: $10,000
    Loan: $15,831
    APR: 6.07% or $482.14/month
    Term: 36 months.

I love this car. I'm happy on what I did and the way McDavid Honda doing the business. They are all nice. I truly appreciate all your helpful advices, recommendations, hints, and tips from edmunds and this amazing forum.

Just picked up my EXL last night. Here is the quote and I love the carbon bronze.

    Stock Number: TBD

    2007 Honda Accord EX-L w. Automatic

    Your special Internet price: *$21,272.90

thanks for the info-i got an email from honda of joliet with very good prices on accords. prices that were quoted i believe were from $2750-$2950 below invoice. i was at community honda and saw a nice se 4 cylinder demo that they told me they could give me a rock bottom price of invoice-i told them it was way too high-then they didn't want to bother with me so i walked out.

">my wife wanted the cool blue metallic Accord SE 4 AT and we picked it up on 7/9. The dealer Honda of Slidell (LA) had to get it from Alabama. No trade in, price 20,400 delivered and total otd price 21,792. We may have been able to get better price but we were in a bind since my wife's car was totaled recently(she had 95 Accord EX)She is happy with her car and got the color she wanted but I was suprised that the color was so hard to find. I financed with my bank & the F&I guy was pissed. Good experience overall though.
  • louisnlouisn Member Posts: 110
Although I can't find any info on incentives, McDavid Honda has a special lease with a $2500.00 capital reduction on the EXL-V6--I suspect that's available for sales too somehow. Just speculating based on this model selling for 2500 under invoice according to some posters,

We bought a silver Accord SE i4 AT on 7/13 in N. CA.

    $18000 incluing destination, $19735 OTD.
  • tbtroll60tbtroll60 Member Posts: 3
I tried to get lower price and could have done much better if I bought one off of their lot. I wanted to get my wife what she wanted (color was high on her list) The car also had pinstripping and splash guards and we were in Louisiana and the car was located in Alabama.

RE: "just got a LX i4 AT for 16763 plus freight, TTL and $49 for paperwork. Might have done better, but my time has a value and this deal was really easy."

Was the dealer in NoVA? $49 for paperwork? I don't think there's any dealer in NoVA that has a processing fee of $49 since most of them are usually from $289 up to $499. Kudos to you for getting them to agree to a proc. fee of just $49! :D Maryland dealers, on the other hand, are capped at $100 per state law.

You did great on that price. From what I understand, the MSRP is $20,925 (for an 5AT) not including freight and other fees, so that's $4,162 below MSRP, and $2,206 below Edmund's reported invoice (not including freight and any other fees, etc.).

    Congratulations!

    Regards,
    David

David, the dealer was in Silver Spring, MD, Sport Honda. I was surprised they did not charge the legal max.

This was the best internet quote I got. I did not take their quote ande shop it to others. After all, it is an easy game to say "match others" but also a pretty cheap one. No, the other dealers had their chance and did not take it.

Could I have saved another few bills? Maybe, maybe not, but it would have been at the risk of hassle and disappointment. So I saved a good part of my Saturday and took the best deal offered, which I thought was decent.

Dealer experience was very good, too. A little sell on the extended warranty, but not too hard. It's funny: the reason I bought an Accord was to do without maintenance and repair hassles. Why would I then want the extended warranty?

Congratulations on your purchase. You got a reasonably good price in my opinion.

BTW, I completely agree with your philosophy of rewarding dealers who provide a consumer friendly quote to begin with rather than playing this game of call us back for the real quote so that we have a shot at stealing business from the someone who gave you a better quote.

Sorry to hear about the title mess up on your VW.

    Enjoy your new car!

    The price is pretty good~~
Do you mind to let me know which dealer it is?

I'm considering Accord SE too and I just got a OTD for 21,800

but I think we can get a better price~~~
  • zswxzswx Member Posts: 55
We are having some issue with the dealer right now. I'll post the information once it get resolved.

And they were not the only dealer that accepted this price, so you can probabally ask around and find an even better deal.

Took delivery of an Accord EX I4 AT in graphite pearl for $18800 plus TTL from Hayward Honda on the fourth of July. Another dealer in the bay area also willing to deal at this price but does not have my prefer color. Thanks everyone for the valuable information.

went to an area honda dealer (sofla) and they still unsold 06 honda accords, salesman claimed the 06 and the 07 are exactly the same car, the invoice price of the car was 25,xxx, and the dealer price was 29,xxx. He said he would take 10000 off the dealer price. In return I would purchase it today if he would take 10000 off the invoice price, but he didnt go for that. What is the appropriate price for this model? 06 honda accord EX-L V6
  • jb_turnerjb_turner Member Posts: 702
I assume you meant he will only take off $1,000 off the price.... then go elsewhere.
  • mikep7mikep7 Member Posts: 7
    no it was $10,000.
  • cyrusdcyrusd Member Posts: 25
By that, you meant he's willing to sell a 2006 EX-L V6 at about $15,000 + TTL? How many miles on that car? How were the exterior and interior quality? It should have been in the dealer's parking lot for over a year.
  • mikep7mikep7 Member Posts: 7
The car was parked in the front with all the other 07s, it is silver and it had 14 miles on it, the interior and exterior were in perfect condition.

If you don't plan on selling anytime soon or aren't leasing, that $10K discount may be worth considering, but do remember that with the '08 just around the corner, that '06 Accord is going to be two years old and from a depreciation/value standpont, it's regarded as a two year old car even though it's "new" and untitled. I'm surprised that they still have an '06 sitting in their lot/showroom given that it's mid of '07 and the '08s are around the corner. Wonder why the car wasn't sold/or remains unsold?

    David

What was the name of the dealer and who did you speak to? At that price, I would be interested in one.
  • cusafrcusafr Member Posts: 184
$10,000 off the "Dealer's) price is 29,000-10,000=$19,000. Still, not bad if there are no tricks. However, how can they still have a new 2006?

I am planning to buy Honda Accord EX-L 4-CYL in Philly Area. Can someone give me the best price you got in this area?
Is there a price difference between the USA and Japan made Accord's? Thanks.
  • jb_turnerjb_turner Member Posts: 702
What matters is the OTD price... if he can let it go for 13k OTD buy it.
  • jamess3jamess3 Member Posts: 16
Considering moving to a lease from a car that I own. Is there a tax benefit to trading in a car when you lease? For example, if I trade a car worth $20k for a lease on a $25k car, do I only pay tax on the $5k difference?

    Thanks,

    Jim

So far I've gotten down $20,554.85 which includes frieght, but not TTL. I know this doesn't look as good as some of the other deals on this site, but has anyone done better in Washington State?
  • shortduderayshortduderay Member Posts: 2
Is a price of 16,888 on a new Accord LX a good price? Also, does Honda have any special financing for Accords or something?
  • hd9691hd9691 Member Posts: 18
This is the second time that I help a friend bought a 07 SE V6 accord w/alarm, no wheel locks for 21.5K OTD in bay area, CA.

Last time also the same price OTD but no Alarm but w/ wheel locks.

    Thanks to all the info.

That's a ridiculously good price, it includes destination fee as well correct? Stevens Creek Honda?
  • shortduderayshortduderay Member Posts: 2
I think it doesn't include destination, (it said + fees), but the quote is from South Bay Honda. However, today I requested another quote, and it was 17,688 + fees. Weird if I say so myself... :confuse:

Don't wast your money on the Navi. I've been using a Garmin portable Navi for the last 2 years. I've used it on trips from (St. Louis home) to New Jersey and Indiana and will be going to Boston next month. Its awesome and much much cheaper than the factory installed Navis. Plus you can use it in different cars. I paid $900 for mine 2 years ago and now they are only selling for around $500. Save your $$$ on the other options you see fit.

We got offered $20,100 for a 2007 SE-V6 but we're still undecided between the Accord, Camry, Passat, TL. So I would try to get him to come down to around $18,000 then its really hard to say NO.

    Mike
  • adamr1adamr1 Member Posts: 43
You won't get them down to $18,000. There has to be a limit. And if you did, it probably wouldn't be in the color you want. But you should be able to get them to the low to mid 19's.

I just purchased an SE V6. For the price, you can't beat it. The TL was the car I wanted, but it would have cost so much more. The SE V6 in my opinion is the big value in the lineup. For under 20 you are getting a great engine, and all the latest safety features: stabilty and traction control and full curtain airbags. The interior is very nice, and I really like the MMY exterior changes. The car also handles very well.

Have you tried South Tacoma Honda or Honda of Fife?
I might give them a try in a week and see what I can come up with.
  • smeezysmeezy Member Posts: 42
You probably got a different internet sales associate. Check the email address, it is the same as the previous one with the lower quote? Sometimes it pays having a different internet sales associate from the same dealership giving you another quote. For an LX in the mid 16's I'd go for it. Just print it out and go there to purchase it. Still a really good deal w/o dest fee.
  • hd9691hd9691 Member Posts: 18
Hi, Man you are really good at price negotiating. I bought the SE V6 OTD price 21.5k has alarm also.

LX V6 has Moon Roof, Power Driver seat and heat mirror, and it is almost the same price as the SE V6. Can you tell me the price only on the Car so I can search around in the Bay area, Ca.

    thanks.
  • bensulbensul Member Posts: 12
LX V6 price is $20750 and the SE V6 I got quoted for $18671. I know the dealer must be getting something from American Honda, I don't think any dealer will accept a loss on any vehicle. They did try to sell me the Honda Care Warranty for $1,900 and tried again when I said no and this time they said that they are going to sell it to me at invoice at $1,300 of course I firmly said no. You bought right, SE V6, I always wanted a sunroof and ignored friends who have one on their cars and told me that I'll never use it, and they were right, I have never used the sunroof since buying the car last week because it has been so hot where I live in the deserts. Oh well, I learned my lesson.
