    If forgot to mention that as if it does not have enough lines on it making it look like 2-3 different vehicles bolted together to make one, the hood about 3/4 of the way down has this god awful bend in it that runs parallel to the grille. I don't know what the hell they were thinking!

    The Unions are largely responsible for creating an American middle class. Now that Regan and his successors have destroyed the unions the middle class has declined to the point where there are fewer and fewer people able to afford decent transportation. I won't get into the larger issues of housing, banks, frauds. I am an Irishman living in Canada and I see nothing wrong with the American worker unionized or non unionized. I see a lot wrong with American management and government.

    Not saying that all Unions are good or bad, but you have to think about how a non-educated worker that puts on lug nuts is making $60/hour with benefits and all, full pension when he/she retires..perks...perks..perks...the average American car carries this LOAD to the tune of $1500 per car/truck compared to $150 per Japanese car/truck. And the quality of the avg. American car keeps dropping, plastic dashboards, plastic lug nuts, after 2 years they look like Junkers and are worth nothing, the door seams suck, when you close a door--it sounds like you are putting the Lid on a metal trash can...this is Garbage. They are not in-line with the foreign manufacturers because Foreign manufacturers---they don't have to put up with the BS from Unions. Don't you think they have dug themselves into their own grave? When does the greed stop? FACE IT... look at Detroit..the pig gets Fat, and the HOG gets slaughtered.....nothing left of a once prosperous city...because of GREED..!!

    Just a note I don't believe the Alabama Honda plant is Unionized and the average pay is $14-$28 an hour with no technical education or experience. Great for the cost of living for the area. Honda is just pocketing a large profit because they have built a car worth the money people are willing to pay. Now instead of we as Americans complaining lets just buy their stock and make it American owned by shareholder majority! I do agree while unions when adminstered appropriately aid workers in benifits and safety the UAW is not administered appropriately and has caused the downfall of the BIG 3. Now lets get back on topic of buying experience/prices negotiated/latest details on the new model....

    nice. I got mine last month for 35,498 + TTL. OTD price was around 37,100 (give or take a few dollars).

    I was not willing to drive 50 miles to get it for 500 less OTD.

    I just did another price request in my area (RTP, NC) and prices were about 5-600 higher than last month.

    One dealership told us that the tow package was standard on the Touring (?!?). We did not want the towing attachment as it made the car noticeably heavier. The one we got did not have it.

    We were comparing Odyssey and Sienna. Asked quotes for both. The lowest we got is 29K pre-tax for Odyssey EX-L. Dealers are expecting unreasonably high price as the inventory gets low. We ended up with a Sienna LE + aftermarket leather, paying slightly higher for a newer model. We can't see much difference between these two cars anyway.

    I thought we can get Sienna much lower price, but I did not go for Sienna shopping so I don't know for sure. I am just waiting for 2011 Odyssey.

    yes, sienna le is cheaper than odyssey ex-l. We paid 28k pretax for sienna le. But le does not come with leather seats, so we added 1.3k for after-market leather upgrade. Adding these numbers together, sienna le + leather is slightly more expensive. The problem with odyssey is that the inventory is so low that only two dealers had the color we want and many dealers did not want to negotiate the price as they only have a couple.

    so does anyone have the actual real time pricing for the 2011 honda odyssey?

    BTW - I read a review where they said that the "even the metal used to build this was is stronger steel compared to previous models"....does this make sense?

    And yes - from the pictures it seems like someone put 2-3 different pieces together....what a shame.......

    I don't know the options on the Sienna LE but total with Leather you paid $29.3k pre-tax and I've been getting $28.6K quotes on Odessey EX-L from several dealers. So what was the deciding factors for the Sienna. We looked briefly at Sienna but those guys feel $1k off sticker is a good deal. So now that you own can you tell me the pluses of the Sienna?

    How bad is the Del Sol? Even a really crappy used Honda will bring $1000 around here... Put it on Craigslist for $999, and you can usually get $800 cash by the end of the day..

    Maybe it's different in Queens, though.... ;)

    In my area (OH) we can donate a used car running or not to Goodwill or other charity. Can get more than $200 tax writeoff. Lot of demand for "beaters" in our area.

    I was offered 28,400(including destination) + TTL (doc fee only 200) from RI Dealer for EXL. Only condition is I have to finance thru them , if not then I have to pay 28600. Do you guys think this is a Good price?

    I am now thinking about buying EXL with RES ?

    Any advise?

    My dealer tried to stick me on the doc fee, I held strong and said no and after a while of switching and haggling and "we always charge this" they dropped it.

    Not sure on the pricing, I went with the EX.

    I think that is a good price. You just have to tack on about $1500 for the RES. It sounds like a good price relative to what everyone else is paying. Is there any more wiggle room? I'm pretty sure my local dealer was going to offer $30,629 for the EX-L with RES and I am in Long Island.(tends to be more expensive), without really negotiating too much yet. But I hear Honda as a whole doesn't "budge" too much when it comes to negotiating. At least, that is what theConsumer Reports car representative told me. Where are you located?PLease post what you ultimately pay. I am going Sunday to look and/or buy an Odyssey.

    My local dealers are posting used 2007 EXL's for 25K. Why even bother if a new one can be had for 28.6K.

    If you are/ did trading in your odyssey, will you mind posting what options, year it was etc.. and how much you were given.

    This is a great price . My dealer has been offering me EXL with RES for 33,730 and without RES for 32122. This price is OTD .

    I emailed him today to better the offer . I hope i get a EXL with RES around 30,000 range.

    ok...so looking for a honda odyssey 2011 touring - and right off the bat - 1800 $ off the EXL MSRP is being offered in Buffalo NY area. I am certain that is pretty much where it is going to stay at for some time but it good to know that these dealers have their head screwed on right.

    On the other hand - Rt 22 honda in NJ - WILL NOT discount 2011 cars untill July 2012 - so might want to keep that in mind before wasting your time.

    (on a personal note - I have not had good experience with them - they have lied to us in the past to get us into the dealership - when we were looking at 2010).

    There are plenty of dealers out there. Some will sit on their inventory and others will move them out. With the internet it is easy to shop.

    Go to www.swapalease.com there you can post your vehicle for a Fee of course, and see if anyone would take over your lease payments. You might have to Incentivize them with some Cash to take over your Lease, but hey--it's an option on how to get out of a Lease. Good luck.

    Got quotes from a local dealer as follows (destination included but before TTL):

    1. EX - $25.6k
    2. EX-L - $28.7k
    3. EX-L w/ Res - $30.3k

    The problem that I have is that there is a pretty good used 2008 EXL w/Res for $26.8K (36,000 miles). This used one is Certified Pre-owned (7yrs/100,000 covered). With all taxes and stuff, it's going to be ~4k lower than No. 3. Which one would you go for?

    Also, is the offer pretty decent? Please help!!!

    32900 + standard fees. LOVE IT! My wife and I thought we'd wait on the 2011, but after driving the 2010 and comparing looks we like the 2010 much more. We cannot get over all the room a minivan provides. We have 2 toddlers in car seats and a dog. We test drove the Town and Country/Caravan which had terrible build quality, 11' Sienna which my wife thought looked hideous along with the steering being too loose and the Mazda 5 which was just too small. Having owned GM and Chrysler vehicles exclusively we hope this Honda will live up to the hype. Our initial impressions are it will.

    Assuming the used one is a '10, this is a good example of why it makes little sense to buy a late model Honda used. 4 grand to drive a $30,000 plus new car 36,000 miles seems like a tremendous bargain to me.

    1. Not sure what you mean by "car mats" vs. "all weather floor mats." They are several Honda dealers that emphasize on-line accessory sales. College Hills Honda, Bernardi Honda, are H and A are examples. Just compare prices and buy where it's cheapest.

    2. Same thing with extended warranties - just buy over the phone (see separate threads on this topic). The best prices seem to be offered by stores in MA.

    3. Bearing in mind that all accessory prices are negotiable, the only ones to buy with a new car are those that require installation skills beyond the owner's capability.

    4. Mat design preference is strongly influenced by one's needs. Suggest you do some research and read some reviews.

    The price before TTL should be between $28,200 to $28,700. Never pay dealer/paperwork fee. Where else do you buy a $30K item and have to pay them more money to make the sale go through. If they don't budge get up and walk out the door and they will call you before you get home and say they will drop the fee. They always do.

    Sounds pretty good to me...for our DARK CHERRY PEARL/BLACK LEATHER 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY TOURING

    FINAL PRICE: $37,503.00 OTD

    They tried to pull some appearance package crap, but I shut the salesman down on that.

    Base with destination: 26,086.00
    DMV: 299.00
    Doc: 299.00
    Back up sensors: 687.00

    Please let me know this price is good or not. I am in central NJ.

    How long ago did you make that purchase?

    For a 2010 Odyssey Touring with some extras (Mud covers, lock wheel lug nut, protection pkg) the dealer wants $38,618
    That was the initial price they gave me, I asked for 37K Out The Door (Incl. tax, title, doc fees, etc) and I had to leave. Haven't heard from them yet. That was last night though.

    I requested today a quote from usaa/zag for 2010 Touring: Invoice $38.090/ MSRP $41.535/ discount $5.550 = $35.985
    Also:
    EX-L + RES+ NAV = 32.742
    EX-L + RES = $30.732
    & Tax, title, license, doc fees, dealer-added accessories and other government fees are additional. :P
