I asked the dealer for the $1000 discount and they said that's included in the invoice price. I am not sure if any one in NJ is getting this model for a price less than this.
Hey I am in chicago and looking for Corolla LE. Lowest price that i got it $16,188 OTD without any options. Could you please share dealer detail so that i can buy from that dealer? Thanks
Bought a stripped CE today for OTD of 15,600. Is that fair? Judging by prior posts I think I could have done better. The invoice price was 13,972 and I was a little confused (I didn't reveal this at the dealership of course) about the destination fee of 620. Does one just tack that on to the dealer invoice and work from that? So before tax of 5% (here in Massachusetts) the price was 14,857 with registration, destination, doc prep, title, inspection, etc.. Should I have been able to get the car with all of those "extra" fees for the dealer invoice of 13,972?
Also there is a 500 rebate or low apr financing factory incentive going on until July 9 I believe- I took the 2.9% at 36 months with a good down payment (7000). Thanks!
sku1, could you please let me know which dealership in NJ you purchased your car from? Anyone else have experience with OTD prices for CE and LE auto models in NJ? Thank you.
I'm also in Chicagoland and looking for Corolle LE. Curious to know to which dealer did u go and what deal you got. This will be helpful for me to make a decision about the dealer.
Elgin Toyota has an internet special of $14,800 for a typical Corolla LE. My guess is that you could get them down a few hundread more considering the 2008's are on the lot right now.
Which dealer in dallas did you buy it from? I need to buy a Corolla LE in dallas the best price I can get right now is over 17 grands...Please send me details ASAP!
If you are dealing in the Dallas area I can not stress enough that you should go to Sport City Toyota/Scion. I have bought two cars there, a 05 Scion TC and and this week a 07 Corolla S. My parents have bought 2 new cars and 2 used cars there as well. (My Mom got a 07 Scion Xa two weeks ago) My corolla has everything but the moonroof msrp'ed for almost 18,000 and was "red tagged" for 16,300. I am a college commuter and piled 75,000 miles on my Tc in the 2 1/2 years I owned it. I owed 10,800 on it. It KBB was 10,400 with that high mileage. The Scion salesman was only able to offer me 9,800 for trade in value. This was originally a deal breaker, but I went back the next day and he was able to take that 1,000 off of the sale price of the corolla bringing its total to 15,300. A great deal in my opinion. I can not say enough good things about this dealership. Make sure to go to the scion guys even though you are looking at a corolla. Toyota now has a 299.99 fee for "keeping your information on file HIPPA", the scion guys only charge 189.00 for this fee so that will save you a hundred bucks, plus they are way less pressure and will deal straight with you. And if you or anyone else actually goes there and buys a car, mention the name "Armstrong" to either of the Scion guys and I/we will get a $100 referral bonus. I will split this with anyone who does that. Sport City = best toyota dealership in DFW. (I should know the Lewisville Toyota dealership broke my antenna off and over charged me DONT GO THERE!!!!)
Just thought I should contribute something to this discussion. I bought a 2007 LE automatic yesterday with all-weather guard, audio value package and floor mats for 14600 +270 dealer fee +VA tax and registration at Miller Toyota in Manassas, VA. The OTD total came out at 15400 after 750 rebate. I think it is a reasonable deal considering most of the bargaining was done in email exchange. Dealer experience was OK, in and out in 1.5 hours with the test drive. I sent multiple requests for quotes to dealers in the metro DC area. The low bids from VA and MD came out pretty similar after factoring in that dealer fees are 100 in MD and 250-300 in VA. I could have gotten a 07 CE with upgrade package/cruise/all weather guard/floor mats for around 14400-14500+TTL as well, but went for LE because of better wipers (variable intermittent vs. just one-speed intermittent on CE). The wood trim on LE, however, will take some time getting used to. I wonder what genius came up with that idea?
Hello everyone, I'm in the Houston, Texas area and I'm looking for a 2007 LE. Has anyone had any good experiences with dealers in the area? What's the lowest quote I can expect? Thanks.
A coworker of mine just bought a Toyotal Corolla LE 2007 with FE 50 State Emission CK All Weather Guard Package VV Audio Value Package DK Preferred Owner's Portfolio Z1 Preferred Accessory Package for $14407 + tax, tags, $100 dealer's processing charge after $750 rebate at DARCARS in Silver Spring, MD. He said Fitzmall also offers the same price on their web site..
Hello everyone, I'm in the pittsburgh, and I'm looking for a 2007 LE. Has anyone had any good experiences with dealers in the area? What's the lowest quote I can expect? Thanks
A relative in Phoenix just bought a 2008 Corolla LE automatic transmission with all-weather package, ABS with EBD and VSC, value audio, floor mats. Model just came out. He paid $15,113 plus title, tax, registration ($17,000 otd). This price included a trade-in of an 1986 Camry with 143k miles. He claimed this was sold end-of-month at cost so salesman could get a bonus, and by the edmunds figures it looks like it. Not sure how typical this price is but I'm posting fyi.
Recently bought an 07 Corolla type S auto for $18,229 out the door. Options were extra value package #1, side air bags, abs and floor mats. Msrp before fees were $18,805. Received a $2250 dealer discount over the email. I could have gotten 3000 dollars off msrp but I wanted the 1.9 percent financing for 60 months so I did not get the $750 rebate from Toyota. This was the best deal I got after speaking with over 5 different dealers.
TOTAL (including tax, registration, fees) $17,701.75
Complete Configuration: 2007 Corolla LE Auto trans
Extra addons: (AW) Alloy wheels (BE) Driver & pass side & side curtain airbags (AB) Anti-lock brakes (VV) Audio value package-6cd changer, cruise control (CF) Carpet Floor Mats Phantom gray color. Tan interior.
I was also able to get 5.39% rate for a 60 month loan. I went in prepared with a 5.75 60-month loan from Lockheed Federal Credit Union, and Toyota gave me a better rate.
I'm looking to buy a New 2007 Corolla S automatic with the the EV- Extra Value Package #1 and the MR-Moon Roof with side curtain airbags combination. I'm in Southern California and so far all I'm getting is an out the door price of 18000 not including rebate because I will finance;Toyota is currently offering better rates. Is this a good price? I'm thinking it should be more around mid to low $17 thousand range? Can anybody give me some insight?
Hi. I'm palnning to buy my first car and saw this local posting in my place.
2005 Toyota Corolla CE Sedan 4DR with 16K miles for $12,200 The car is privately owned and has a clear title. I ran a carfax report and it looks good. Vehicale was purchased last Oct, 2004. Do you think this is a good price for this car?
Nine years ago I bought a 9-month old program car with less than 10K miles, a 98 Corolla CE with the fancy hubcaps, cruise, tilt, cloth seats, cassette stereo for just under $15,000 including tax. If I wanted to find a program car today and move up to an LE, could I still stay under $15,000? I live in the Oklahoma City area.
I've noticed some Corollas edging up toward the $18K mark, which I find incredible. One could buy a RAV4 or a Camry at that price back in the day.

In 2003, hot rolled steel was available for under $300/ton. How it is closer to $750. And the steel prices are moderate compared to aluminum, zinc, copper, etc.
That could be, but somehow I don't believe the price of Japanese steel has ANYTHING to do with a $3000 spike in the price of a moderately-equipped compact sedan!
This board is very helpful to learn how to negotiate the best price with the dealership. Bought my car 07/14/2007 in NYC. I walked in with my check book and fully prepared. Here are the breakdowns of what I paid:
Car Price $15,250.00 LE (w/VV,CK,CF,FE) Tax $ 1,277.19 (8.375% in NYC) Lic & Title $ 160.00 Inspection $ 10.00 Dealer Processing $ 45.00 Tire Fee $ 12.50 Rebate -$ 750.00 Total $16,004.69
Hope this information help those who can live with the '07 model instead of '08.

Hi! I am new to this board and am looking to buy an automatic 2007 Corolla CE (basic model - just all weather guard- msrp $15,885) in the next week or so. I received an internet quote for $14,100 + tax/title/license. Do you know of dealers that are selling for less?
Been doing research after I purchased my 2007 Corolla LE, should have done more checking before I made my purchase. Especially using this site. Here is my deal: Options included FE,CK,VV,DK,Z1.
MSRP $17425.00
Price $16288 Less Rebate 750 Price of Vehicle 15,538.00 Tax 255.00 (Trade in of $11,288 lowered tax of 6% PA) Title 28.50 Doc Fee 55.00 Tire Tax 5.00 Online Reg Fee 10.00 Dealer Electronic Fee 20.00 Total Price $15911.50
I have visited 3 dealerships in Massachusetts in the last 2 days, hoping to purchase an impulse red CE with a manual transmission. Nobody had one, not even the largest Toyota dealership in the region! What makes this such a rare breed?
I tried to get the best deal, but I guess I'm just too much of a rookie. Oh well. Love the car.
Purchased from Fred Haas Toyota, Houston, Texas:
Toyota Corolla LE Silver with Gray cloth seats Moonroof Alloy Wheels Cruise Control AM/FM w/6 CD
"Dealer Invoice" $17575.07 Cash Back - 750.00 Purchase Price $16825.07
It was very late and I was quite tired when we finally completed our purchase. Unfortunately, the Financial Services Manager convinced me to buy a Tire Warranty for $250.00 and a Windshield Warranty for $250.00. Additionally, I purchased the Toyota Platinum extended warranty for $1500. This morning I found this EXACT warranty online for $945, so I have put in a call to ask for a refund on that item. We'll see how that goes.
So, my OTD (including the tire and windshield warranties, but NOT the "platinum" extended warranty) was $18,636.15. Ten years from now, when I buy my next car, I will try EVEN harder to make a deal!
Does anyone have advice about the extended warranty? Should I buy it from Toyota, or another broker? I do plan to drive this car until it has to go to the scrap yard.
warranties just depend on the consumer, they do provide you with a sense of security that for some is worth.
Studies have shown that the average warranty costs the consumer around 2,000.00 and the dealer pays, on average, about $600.00 back on work to the car.
Queens, New York: Will be picking up today 7/31/07. Here's the breakdown for the '08 LE. Base price: $16,400.00, Sales Tax: $1374.00, NYState [ripoff] Tire Recycling Fee: $12.50, NY State Inspection: $10.00, Dealers Fee: $45.00, License Fee: $160.00, TOTAL: $18,001.50. OPTIONS AS FOLLOWS: 1-- VV Audio Value Package AM/FM stereo w/6-disc in dash CD changer, 6 speakers& cruise control. 2--AB AntiLockBrakeSystem w/TirePressureMonitorSystem 3--BE Side airbag and 2 row side curtain airbags 4--CK All Weather Guard Package windshield molding, heavy duty heater, rear heater ducts and anti-chipping tape 5--CF Carpeted floor mats [4], they try to charge you $90 so tell them you don't want them and they'll throw them in as standard equipment. Note: I received quotes from 4 dealers in NY and 1 in NJ. Prices ranged from $16,400 to $18,500. IMHO, dealers are inching price up to as close as they can get to the MSRP. One has to do their homework researching and really shop around. The problem for many folks is that they may not have as many dealers in their area as those in big urban cities. Keep in mind to compare apples with apples. Fix in on model, options and DO NOT be talking into changes many dealers try to make with a myriad of reasons [excuses]. They sell cars everyday and buyers buy cars every few year, which gives the dealers the edge on how to get the best of you. Here's a very informative and enlightening website to visit BEFORE going to car dealers. http://www.fool.com/car/car.htm If you follow only half of what is said in the article you will not overpay for your next vehicle. Most car dealers are known as CAR STEALERS. If you want to know the dealer email me.
I just got through trading my 2006 LE with auto for an upgraded 2007 LE that also includes side airbags and anti-lock brakes.
Toyota of Watertown, MA was offering 110% over Kelly Bluebook on trade-ins for late model Toyotas so they gave me $14,151 for my 2006 LE. I was skeptical when I went in that they would actually offer me this much for my car, but after some grumblings they came through. This was only about a $1,000 less than what I paid for the car originally.
They sold me the 2007 LE, which includes ABS and side-airbags, for $16,000. Out the door the total price came to $2,205.45 which I think is a fantastic deal for the car, especially with the upgraded ABS and side-airbags on the new car.
Got my CE a week ago for $12,995. Final purchase price was $14,219. MSRP was $15,915 = $15,205(basic automatic trans.) + $90(floor mats) + $620.
Saw the ad in the paper (30 available) and just went in, test drove, picked a silver color one, and paid cash. Got a free touch up paint because the finance guy was in a meeting and had to wait a while. Will go back to turn in my evaluation letter and get a free dash board cover. BTW, the same ad showed up again in today's paper was so just wondering if this was really a good deal.
I live in North Jersey and I want to know if now is a good time to buy a Corolla 2007, so I could save some money, given that 2008 model is already out..!?
If anybody knows any honest dealership in the area I'd appreciate the fact. When I checked in the postings I couldn't find any actual address,(maybe i might have missed!)

If you need the airbags and the ABS, add about $1k more.
Of course this market is more competitive than most and if the Corollas are too expensive, buyers will head toward domestics.
