I understand one dissapointments with a particular dealer when trying to buy a car (like in your case), but for me, and after doing a lot of searching, I found that Curry is the most competetive of all...again because their prices include shipping, while on others the shipping is charged separate and to me what counts is the bottom line..as far as I am concerned they have always been first class when buying accessories...now buyinf a vehicle I don't know and you may be correct in your assesments...

Ah. You were talking strictly about their parts/accessories dept. I misread your post - my bad.

I have been looking at $48756 plus 6% MD Tax and $244 for tags. You are very close to this. I believe there is a $1000 manufacturer to dealer cash back as well. You should then be able to get $47756.

You inquired about final price and the dealership in question a few days ago--here it is!

2011 MDX with technology and entertainment packages: $43,679 base, just over $49k OTD price once destination/documentation/TTL figured in.

Joe Rizza Acura in Orland Park, IL was dealership. Nice guys, zero sneakiness, very upfront. Another dealer I would recommend is Napleton Acura in Elmhurst, IL--unbelievably professional and low pressure, just wouldn't budge much on their price (already competitive price). 95% of all work done through email. Let me know if you want more details.

Ok it looks like I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new 2011 MDX w Tech/Ent in the Northern Virginia area. From what I've been able to find on here it seems the best deal in this area was achadha1 who got $44,200 including destination, with taxes and tags extra, making his deal about $800 below invoice. I did notice that schmed75 also has a price of $48756 which appears to include destination making his deal about $1,650 below invoice for a 2011 Advan/Ent. Anyone in the D.C. region seeing this type of deal for a 2011 MDX w Tech/Ent?

One other thing, when I used this board to buy my '04 MDX, I and many others were including wheel locks, cargo cover and mat in our deals. It didn't seem that the posts I read here this time around mentioned these types of accessories. Has anyone else included these items or at least wheel locks as part of their negotiations?

Hi Guys - I am in market to get Used 2008 MDX (Base).

I got an offer for a Used 2008 MDX - Base - 27.5K Miles on it (clean carfax report) for 30.5K OTD. Is this a good offer ?

One other thing I am not sure about is, the carfax report and I did not find one single oil change report on it (could it be because it was not at any ACURA dealer) all I found was couple of emission checks and that's about it.

I'd really appreciate any help/comment on this.

    Thanks

Purchased a 2011 MDX with Tech+Ent on Saturday - was quoted:

    MSRP: $48,155
    Sale Price: $43,649
    Freight: $860
    Tax: $2,676.48
    All Fees: $388
    Bottom Line: $47,573.48

Paid a little more to add the roof rack, side steps, wheel locks and body side molding but got out the door at 49k.

I assume this is at a dealer. Tell them you need to contact the original owner; they should be able to track this down if it was a trade-in. More difficult if an auction vehicle. At 27k miles it should have had at least 4-5 OLFs.

Last two used cars I bought I got to speak with the owner, they were nice and helpful. If they are NOT helpful this *could be* an indication that they were not happy with the vehicle, which *may* mean you would not be either. But the reasons matter so sweet-talk them and try to get the info.

Good luck. I may be in the market for a used MDX in about a year so have started browsing this forum. Let us know how you make out.

    Thanks for the response.

Yes, this is at a dealer. It was through Auction but will take my chances to get in touch with the person who leased it. Ya, I ddn't see any on carfax but then is it possible that person ddn't go to dealer for Oil Changes and went to some third party that was not reported.

Great, it's a good car it felt solid when I took the test drive, I am definitely planning to get this by end of this month (if not through this dealer someone else) so will let you know

    Thanks again for your response.

Hi schmed75 Congratulations !!! If you do not mind pls share how much you paid for your roof rack, side steps, wheel locks and body side molding ?

    schmed75,

Wow! that's the best deal I have seen...
I went back and try to see where (name of the dealer) you bought the car from I couldn't locate it.
Do you mind if you post the name of the dealer.

    TIA

I also am able to get the price "44,200 including destination, with taxes and tags extra" from Karen Radley Acura in Northern VA. This was about $1500 more than a price I was quoted from Richmond Acura, so I'll make the extra drive northern. Anyone else have such good deals? From my research, I am happy with the price quote from Radley...

    Midwest;
Does not appear that either 2010 or 2011 MDX currently have any "cash" incentives.
Anyone seeing prices below invoice on 2011 MDX Adv/Ent??
    What about 2010??
If so, would you share your experience? that would be most appreciated.

Thanks I actually got 12/2009 MDX (base) 17K miles on it (personal owner and with clean carfax). I got it for 33K OTD (that includes my 05 Altima (fair condition with 71K miles) trade in, tax, tags everything)

    I think I got a reasonable deal.. any comment(s)

I have been reviewing this board for about a month to determine great price on a 2011 MDX tech. It has been very helpful. I figure I should contribute. Tonight, I signed papers on this deal on a 2011 MDX with technology package in NJ:

    $47,115 (sticker)
    $42,299 (sales price)
    $3130.13 (taxes)
    $399 (dmv)
$348 (doc fees - which I found to be $100 too high)
    $7.50 (NJ tire tax)
    Total OTD = $46,183.63

How did I do? The best price I was actually quoted was last month for $42,099 (plus taxes and fees) but was not ready to make the deal yet.

This is a great price. I have been looking to purchase 2011 tech as well (out in California). Does the price include any dealer-installed option such as running boards and roof rack?
    Thanks in advance.
  • acarshopperacarshopper Member Posts: 6
    No dealer installed options.

I recently got a 2011 MDX w/ Tech package in San Francisco bay area.

    Sticker: $47,115
    Price paid: $42,800 (dest. included)
Accessories (thrown in by the dealer): $800 (wheel locks, cargo cover, cargo mat, all season floor mats)
    Taxes: ~ $3600
    Tags: $490
    Total OTD = $47000

Is that a good deal. Any thoughts ?

    cyaja1,
It sounds like a good deal. Which dealer did you buy it from?
How come the tax is only 8.4%?
  • coolshyguycoolshyguy Member Posts: 6
    Hey cyaja1..

Can you send me the dealer contact number and contact person who gave you this deal asap... I would like to move ahead with this offer as well.

I got a 2011 MDX w/ Tech + Ent package in Orange County CA for 43300 (dest. included).
Was working with 3 to 4 dealers to get to this price, also got the special APR pro @ 1.9 for 60 months.
  • vincentbayuvincentbayu Member Posts: 13
How much do you get charged for CA tax? Title and license?
  • coolshyguycoolshyguy Member Posts: 6

    Hey coolshyguy,

I got my MDX from Acura of Concord. I called around for quotes, the other one which came pretty close was Marin. I just called their sales department. Ask for Amin S. Nice (and no pressure) guy to work with.

Taxes and tags came around 10.5%. I negotiated for the dealer to throw in $800 worth of accessories (so, probably you shouldn't add that for the total OTD $).

I got 0.9% APR on mine. Good luck.

I have tried to get a good price on a 2011 MDX in the Twin Cities with little success. I have contacted all 3 dealers here and the lowest they will go is 500-800 over invoice for a 2011 Tech or 2011 Tech/Ent. That seems to be well above prices others are paying. I have gone through internet sales, tried Amex/Costco/USAA discounts. They must be selling too well here. Anyone from the upper Midwest have a dealer suggestion? I am willing to travel if the price savings is high enough.

    before destination, doc, TTL.
Got it in my first round email query from a dealership and 2 others would like to match it right away.

That's sounds excellent deal for Tech Ent. It's ~$2000 below invoice. I negotiated deal for 2011 Tech Ent with one N cal dealer for $1100 below invoice + $400 accessorries.

Would you mind sharing your dealer information?

    Thanks

Hello All, Would someone with experience please tell me if 2011 MDX Advanced with Entertainment for 50k OTD is a good deal. I am in Norther VA and a dealer said this is the best they can do. I am wondering if I should do it. Thanks for your time in advance.
  • vincentbayuvincentbayu Member Posts: 13
    Bobster1926,
That sounds like a good price. How much before TTL? Do you have an itemized price list?

  • bobster1926bobster1926 Member Posts: 5
Sticker on this was 53,440.00, I do not have an itemized price list. This one had all packages included, what should I look out for. I think there were small charges for wheel lock and one other thing I cant remember. Thanks for you reply
  • vincentbayuvincentbayu Member Posts: 13
The sticker price in my area is around $55k for advanced ent.
  • bobster1926bobster1926 Member Posts: 5
I am sorry I was quoting you the price of one with out entertainment. So you are correct with entertainment its 55k. So 50k OTD seems like a good deal. I will ask for free maint for 3 years, I know some dealers are doing that as well. Also I will be buying the remote start and tow pkg, I wonder if they negotiate on those. Thanks for answering my questions.

I am looking to purchase a 2010 MDX w tech package. Its the dealer loaner and is certified. It has 8300 miles on it. The dealer sticker price is 43,995 and they made an initial offer of 40,995 (43995 with TTL). This seems high. What would be a reasonable price for this car? Thanks.

Car-man and other knowledgeable people, please help!

I want a 2011 MDX tech and ENT, 36 months, 15K miles/year. Would love to do a no money down lease with everything rolled in.

    1) What is the Dealer invoice for this car?

    2) What is the dealer holdback?

    3) what is the current money factor and residual?

    Thanks in advance!

Am getting a 2011 Acura MDX base model for $38,900 + 11% for taxes and fees.

Is this a good deal? I have shopped around across 4 dealers - Pleasanton, Serramonte, Concord and Los Gatos and this is the best price thus far.

Please advise if this is a best deal given the time of the year. Also what kind of accessories should we expect dealers to throw-in to sweeten the deal
