Would you please give dealer name in Phily..thank you
I'm also running into an online sales guy who won't give me pricing via email! I should probably avoid this guy, but I'm trying to find the best deal.
look at that the dealers inventory and still with your game plan.
In No. VA every dealer has at least 2 dozen sitting in the lot...
One just gave me and offer for EX-L for $28,000 +tax+ tag fee
I still hold on to my firm $27,000 with dealers and driving them crazy...
By the way I have been dealing with them via phone...
- are not an idiot who wants to pay $35K
- are well informed about current rebates and/or incentives
- will shop around to get the lowest price
- are not in a hurry to buy a Pilot
- ask them lots of questions about the car and tell them what you do NOT like
- .....
Looks like you got a exactly same deal, did you tried for 1.9 % APR ?? It is better than using own cash !!

Thanks for your posts. I'm interested in a 2005 Pilot EX. However, is Honda still offering special financing? I see 1.9, 2.9, 3.9 expires 9/6/05 per Yahoo.
Also, is the incentive $1,000 or $1,800. I could not find any info. on the $1,800 incentive, just $1,000
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

awsome price...
What I want to know is if anyone has leased this car. It seems people are buying this car for $25-26k. If that's the case, then I should be able to lease this car without a down payment and still get the same payment (if not a lower payment)-- Right??
Just want to know what people are getting for leases.
Here's what I have found. Some have posted that they have gotten incredible deals well below invoice, however after emailing these folks and questioning where they are buying they are revealing that they traded in a vehicle at time of purchase. Let's face it, if you are trading in a vehicle they can sell it to you thousands below invoice if they have a trade in to bargain with.
Just an observation that I hope can help folks out when heading to the dealer
to do battle.
One dealer in No. VA gave up on me for trying to buy EX-L ($27500 with dest. charge) using the price in this forum. The best i got so far is $28,000.00
Yes we all want good deal out of our dollars but posting boggus purchase prices will devalue the meaning of this helpful forum..
wanted to get an idea what the window tint costs for an pilot LX. can someone post what they paid ?
And when does incentive for Honda expires pls?
No trade in. No transfer. It was our second car.
At all Honda dealers, stay firm and more important SKIP the level and talk directly to the general maneger. The thing is they must sell their cars. So, they have to be flexible with some "not easy" customers like me. The dealers try always to keep the balance. I mean, they sell many Pilots for 27,500 (base price) and above but also a few for 26,500. Just be mentally very strong.
My only suggestions at this time for Honda is to make running lights standard on their U.S. vehicles as well as their Canadian models for safety reasons, and to put better tires than the Goodyear Integrity on this vehicle. This tire rates out extremely poorly in all ratings that I've read. I wish they would have put Goodyear Fortera or Michelin brand tires on the vehicle and added to the cost. I hope to get 20K from the tires before getting better ones.
Our vehicle has already been baptized by two grandchildren and we all appreciated the car like ride. Take care.

I am in the market for an EX-cloth and in the Raleigh area. Looking to buy in August or early September. What kind of pricing is available at Crown? Please respond to my email if you prefer.

Review your vehicle
I purchased this afternoon Pilot 2005 EX-L from Route22 Honda, NJ. The deal was very smooth and professional. Here are the details:
Base rate : $27,100
Dest : $ 515
6%Tax : $ 1,656.90
Docs : $ 199
DMV(CT) : $ 150
Total : $29,620.90
I had the rate quote over phone 3 days back and went today and completed the deal.
The price I have been offered is:
Base Price: 26,100 (includes dest charge)
Tax: 7%
Plates: $143
Doc fee: $55.39
I have paid a $500 deposit that will go towards the purhase of the vehicle.
This quote was lower than other quotes I received by $1800.
I fear this is almost too good to be true and am anxious to actually get the EX-L and have a smooth transaction. Any issues you would think I need to watch out for ?
Thanks.
I would confirm that the car IS new (ask for odom reading)
Make sure your price is the final price and includes any dealer installed options.
If it's legit, you've got yourself a good deal.

$31,475 (after tax, tags, processing, destination)
My Observations
1----
QUOTE: Don't walk into the dealer until they've given you a quote via email. Deal with the Internet Sales Manager by requesting a quote at their website. Really you should get "Internet Quote" from every dealer within 50 miles of your house. Take the lowest quote in to the dealer of your choice and ask them to match it. This saved me about $600 the morning I was buying the car.
2----
Don't trust anyone who says "I'll beat anyone's price by $500" but is unwilling to quote a price of his own unless you come into the dealership. This represented 1/2 of the deals I spoke with over the phone.
3----
Dealer Added Options - Tell them what you don't want - as well as what you do. Sounds silly but how many of you were "required" to buy "optional" wheel locks and mud guards because they were already added. Frequently options are added to the vehicle after you don't object to them being part of your purchase. You can get most optional equip (built to oem specs) after market at 1/2 the price.
4----
If a dealer is offering special financing that other area dealers aren't offering, they're probably going to mark up the price. Read the fine print in the advertising - it usually say's something like "Special Financing may effect final offer"
5----
Extended Warranty - Read carefully what it DOESN'T cover and ignore the story the finance guy is telling you when offering it.
6----
Know how much your trade in is worth before going in.
I hope this helps someone.....
EXL for $26,100 in the above message? Something must be fishy. The $27,100 with destination included is a great price. I might pay another $1000 for leather and the other options.
---Looking in Texas
...or "forget" they had a trade-in, which in that case, there are too many variables to just say I bought the car for $xx,xxx.
As far as I can tell, if you walk in to a dealership to but the car, straight up, no trade-in, etc.... you should be able to legitimately get it somewhere $500 to maybe $1,000 below the published invoice.... Also understand that car pricing is also geographic, meaning some cars do well in certain areas and not so well in others.... in the not-so-good areas, you can get better deals.
Take everything with a grain of salt... hope that helps.
Base Price: $26615
Doc Fee : $79
Splash guards: $65
We bought through Stephen Vincel Honda in STL, MO. The internet dept was easy to deal with and I pretty much settled on the price before walking in the showroom. All we did was sign the papers. We financed through Honda for 5.0% over 66 months and we are getting a 10 inch dvd system installed for 1200. I highly recommend them since they are very friendly and will give you the best price in the area, IMO.
For new 2006 cars in September, will dealers be able to still offer at invoice or below?
