    I did not contact any other dealers in NoVA. I live about 4 hours away in south western va and as I read this board I saw several people mention great deals at Hendrick Honda. I contacted them via their website for an online price quote and they contacted me within 10 minutes and quoted me the $26,543 price on the 4wd EX-L and from reading other posts I knew this was a great deal. Drove down on Saturday and picked up this vehicle and I am loving it. I did not get the Navi or Res as I have no kids so no need for the RES and I already have a portable GPS that I used in my old vehicle. Overall it was an easy and painless buying process, no pressure once at the dealership. Everything was as advertised, the vehicle was immaculate and the free 3 month subscription to XM made the 4 hour ride home pass quickly. I recommend Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge, VA to anyone in the VA or MD vicinity. I was in and out the door in 2 hours or less, including a test drive.

    I suggest you go back and read the last several pages of this message board. I've been reading it for the past month and have noticed some great deals in and around Philly. Take your time, do your homework, and I am sure you can beat your quoted price by at least $1000. Good luck and enjoy your Pilot; I love mine.

    Hello all. Like many here I am in the market for a new Pilot and will purchase soon. My question is this, any idea on when this well of great '06 deals will dry up? I'm currently asking around my area trying to find the color/style of Pilot I want. Is Honda still making and shipping these '06s? Or are we seeing such good rates because this is the last of the bunch before the '07s? My concern is that I don't see that many of the AWD EX-L's with NAV out there...

    Just bought an 06 4WD Pilot with DVD at Boch Honda in Norwood, MA for $27,689 which included destination charge. No extras but I still think I got a great deal.

    Try Conicelli Honda at Conshohocken P.A. I bought mine from them. You can even tell them about this forum of how much people are getting Honda Pilot. There are some people over here that bought there Honda Pilot EX-L with Navi for 28,300 from that dealership. Good Luck!

    That is a great deal. I've heard good things about Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge. It's funny, but Hendrick Honda in Charlotte would not come close to dealing with me on my Pilot. Go figure.

    I had a great experience at Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN. Their internet manager went over and above the call of duty and gave me a great deal at $26,300 for a black 4WD EX-L. They threw in the first three service visits for free and when I told them I didn't want the $189.00 mud guards on the Pilot, they sold them to me at cost of $51, just to avoid having to pay the labor to remove them. Even though they made very little on the sale, they treated me very well. :shades:

    Honda Pilot are built with V6 engines only. Correct question would be is it a 2WD or a 4WD?

The quotes I am getting from Atlanta dealers are $1000 more than my own local dealers (midwest, long way to drive to deliver car ...). Just curious where people in the Atlanta area had the most success for Pilots.

    I purchased my Pilot from Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN. I paid $26,300. The internet manager was outstanding. ($26,400 was the previous best offer) They had quite a few on the lot, so I expect he'd make you a great deal. Tell him Mike (Black EXL Pilot bought 8.7.06) sent you.

    I recently went down to Renton Honda, where I found a professional sales person who found me a 2006 Honda Pilot EXL with Navigation for a very good price, in about 1 hour. It sounds like you should quit wasting time going dealer to dealer and simply find one salesperson that you can trust. Enjoy your day, since I see that you have so much time!

It sounds like you actually find enjoyment in complaining, too bad for life is short. Good luck in buying your next vehicle, just remember to leave your emotions at home, and to sharpen your pencil.     BTW, when do the 07's start coming into dealer's lots?

    Are there any significant improvements on the 07 Pilots over the 06's?

    Anyone bought a Pilot (or any Honda) from Costco this month? I am wondering if Costco offers a good deal to it's member.

    I hate to bargain and heard that Costco negotiated a wholesale price for it's members.

    I am on the West Cost but anywhere in the US will give me some idea if it's prices are fair.

    I recently shopped dealers in a large area including Atlanta for my Honda Pilot.

    I contacted Conyers Honda and Tean Honda and received prompt responses from both. Conyers Honda kept pushing me to come in saying they would beat any quote by $200, but wouldn't give me a number. I told them for me to drive 200 miles I had to have a number, and a good one at that.

    I also found several dealers in the Knoxville, TN area that were good; Westside Honda, Airport Honda, and Rusty Wallace Honda were all easy to deal with. Westside offered the best price in that area.

    Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport beat all of them. I suspect I could have driven to Atlanta and gotten them to beat the price I got at Phil Bachman ($26,300 for a 4wd EX-L) but I doubt it would have covered the gas or my time. Dealers seem to be in the mood to deal, so get a good offer and them play the dealers off against each other. Eventually one will rise to the top and the others will fall off. I had four different dealers tell me that I should purchase it from the other dealer if they would sell it to me at $26,300, which they did.

    I bought mine at Connicelli for $28,310 2006 ex-l with navi, 4wd, but I didnt get any of the accessories you are getting.

    Martin Main Line Honda said they could have beaten that price, but I heard rumors that they deal with cars that are damaged in transit, so they get bigger discounts from Honda. And as long as the damage is less than a specific amt, they can fix it and sell the car still as "new".

    I went through Fox Honda in Grand Rapids. Everything went very smooth...deal done on the phone, all paper work ready to go, price same as quoted $26,540 + TTL (EXL 4 X 4) no tricks or "extras" tacked on.

    I am sure this is limited to stock on hand.

    I live in Boise, Idaho area and was looking at buying a 2006 Pilot EX AWD. Quotes I was getting seemed high, especially based on the numbers shown here. Since Portland is only a 6 hour drive, I decided to use the Edmunds tool to ask for prices in Portland. Had great response with all 4 dealers contacting me. 3 beat the best price I was getting in Boise and the other said he could not.

    Ended up flying to Portland and picking up the EX AWD. $100 flight to save like $2000... Bought it from Jay Lee Gladstone Honda. Salesperson picked us up at the airport, we drove to the dealership, test drove the car, and were out the door in a little more than 1 1/2 hours. A great experience. So much more comfortable than the old fashioned way. I highly recommend this approach and this dealer.

    I also have to give a positive to one of the other dealers that contacted me. Griffith Honda in Dalles, OR was equal in price to Jay Lee. On our way home, I actually stopped in the Dalles to say hi and check this guy out... He was appreciative that I stopped and seemed to be a very straight forward dealer as well. I will definitely consider buying from him in the future as well.

    All said and done, OTD price paid was $25,270 (which included a $50 doc fee, but not TTL - since those things have to be taken care of in Idaho) for our EX AWD. I think I could have talked the price down lower, but felt we were getting a fair deal (for both parties) and I think that is important.

    I tried to get my pilot with the splash guards, wheel locks, all weather mats (I believe they are including the cargo mat too) and running boards for $28,500 but they didn't want to deal at all with that. I was told by Sussman that I could get the car only for $28,500 but the options would take me to $29,367.

    If you go to hondacars.com it no longer lists the 2007 Pilot. I don't know if the specs have been updated yet, but if they are indeed correct, there are no changes that I can see between 2006 and 2007.

    Just purchased a 2wd EXL with Navi at 27300 (incl. dest.) + fees from Spirit Honda in El Monte, CA. Internet pricing through internet manager. It was easiest auto purchase ever. 2 e-mail went back and forth and I was out of the dealership in an hour.

    Even though I am not in the NY area, I did get a quote from Open Road Honda for $26,100 plus destination from them. They have an automated quote system on their website. That quote helped me get a great deal closer to home.

    I e-mailed the local DFW dealers to see what their pricing would be on a Pilot. McDavid in Frisco wouldn't respond via e-mail. They called and then quoted me invoice. I mentioned the $3K dealer cash and they said OK, they'll e-mail me their best price. Then, I got nothing. So, another e-mail to them basically saying it's obvious you don't want my business, and they called me AGAIN. I responded to the salesperson and said I heard your message, here's the price I'm looking for...and nothing. It is obvious they don't want to play...they just want to wait until they get an uninformed buyer that they can screw by charging them invoice! Don't waste your time with these guys.

    I am working on a couple of deals in the DFW area. I will post my deal when and if I get it.

    I'm attempting to purchase in the DFW as well. After several emails and a phone call, I thought I had a deal with Jim McNatt. When I arrive today to close the deal, they did not have the color I was looking for (last night I was told they did), I was told the internet manager mis-quoted the price, and they attempt to "play sales games" with me. After 1 1/2 hours I left the dealership. I don't plan on going back. They said one thing on the phone, it was a different story when I arrived on site. :mad:

    just check edmunds true market value for zip code 72204. They are selling lx for 22890 with 2.9 percent for 36 months. Worth the drive up from DFW for that. No hassle. Too many buyers in the big DFW market. Dealers are spoiled and will not deal. I purchased 2005 Sienna in DFW last year... never will purchase locally just to avoid the scams.

    I would definitely call the Internet Manager at Hopkins in Sunnyvale, CA -- I bought their last EX-L 4WD with Navi for $28,250 (incl Dest) on 7/29, but they probably have other configurations still on hand and were a real pleasure to work with.

    Also, Anderson Honda in Palo Alto had a Midnight Madness sale at the end of last month where they emailed out $1k off coupons that would be valid after you negotiated the lowest price. I actually stopped by to check it out and as luck would have it, the person who met me was a Fleet Manager. He offered their best price for the EX-L 4WD with Navi (something outrageous like $31k), and I basically said I wanted $29k and didn't budge. I was ready to walk because I had a few dealers below the $28,500 pricepoint and Anderson didn't have the color I wanted. To my surprise, the fleet manager called me up after I left and said they'd do it for $29k. Less $1k, and that would have been an even $28k (incl dest)!!! Alas, they only had Sage Pearl, and I was willing to pay a bit more for the Nighthawk Black Pearl I got from Hopkins.

    Come to think of it, McDavid didn't respond to me, either.
    Bankston Honda in Lewisville gave me an Internet quote of 26257 (that includes the destination charge!) for a 2006 EXL with no dealer add-ons. I got exactly what I wanted yesterday. No hassle.

    I am in the market for a Honda Pilot. Car buying makes my head spin and I never know whether I'm being offered a good deal or not. Just so unaware of how dealerships operate internally. I have been quoted 28,886 for the Honda EX-L with DVD. I've called around to a number of dealers and this seems to be the best, although I havn't gone into other dealers and tried to haggle. How does this price look to others who have bought recently and do you think there is room to negotiate? I've heard Honda doesn't negotiate, but I also know August is the end of the car year and the 2007's will be out in September. Perhaps that gives me a bit more bargaining power??

    Are you looking for 2006 or 2007? I'd think that 2006 models would be hard to find..

    I've been following this forum for approximately one month. There are quite a few posts regarding what people have paid for your specific model. I'd go back to early/mid July and read all the posts to get a feel for what the deals are.

    With the current $3000 factory to dealer incentive and the fact that there are a lot of Pilots on showroom floors, deals are consistently $3000 off invoice and up to $7000+ off MSRP. I paid $26,300 for my EX-L which had an MSRP of $33,595 (including destination) and invoice of $30,400. If you don't have invoice pricing edmunds can give it to you. This should give you a pretty good idea of where your deal falls. One thing is for sure, it's a buyer's market on new Pilots. Good Luck!
