I order a Black Sapphire Metallic, Manual trans, premium and sport package, and fold down rear seat. I didn't load it up. MSRP was $44,395, so I am about $1600 over invoice, not counting what I got them to throw in.
I am buying not leasing, and I did my own financing, since they said they could not beat my 5.5% I was able to get.
It seems that allocation and total slots filled plays a big role in price. I was able to get an October build at $1,700 off MSRP on a 335 (cold, prem, sport, manual) at a dealer who still had all their launch 335's at the time I ordered. The other dealers varied on discount from $0-900 depending on their open slots (some had no availability until Jan. 07) and launch inventory. If the car doesn't overheat or get held in port b/c of faulty drivetrain , I should have it in approx. 7 weeks from original order date. I left open the option to either lease or buy and had to put $1,000 down when I placed order.
Exactly, the dealer I dealt with had two allocation slots left to be built in October so I was able to change its configuration before it was built. They were willing to deal on the car since it was guarrantee sale. Mine is due next week, asume the mine is not held up in the port . What have you heard about the drivetrain issue? I'm interested in buying the 335i coupe. I was thinking (premium, sport pkg. nav, heated seats, rear sun shade, manual trans). The dealer said MSRP was about 48k. Invoice looks like 44k. The dealer is offering 1k off MSRP, so 47k without negotiating. I'm trying to find see what the best price I can get is. Thanks!
Hi : Does anyone have any info on early termination of leases, looking to go from an 05-330ci to a 07 335ci, when is the earliest this can be done, if at all, have 11 months left on lease.
If you find the right dealer you can easily get them to drop it to about 5% over invoice or about $2200 above. If you work it a bit and can find two dealers willing to deal you can get them down to about 4.5% over invoice maybe 4%. This was the best I was able to do on an 07 and I worked it for a few weeks and contacted 9 dealers with in 25 miles of me.
328xi all wheel drive sedan with automatic transmission for $369/month. This is a 36 month lease, 30,000 miles allowed, $2500 cap cost reduction due at signing. Tax, first month, bank fee, mv fees additional.

I got this quote over the internet. The dealer wants me to come to the showroom and have a f2f discussion. Edmunds shows the MSRP as $34,995 which includes destination charge.
Of course they want you to do a f2f so they work you over...
There is some great information on this site about leasing. there is more to it than just the monthly fee. There is couple of other things you need to look at especially the mileage per year. If you run over this could cost you lots.
I would read what was posted here and get all the numbers form the dealer before you step in the door. From the looks of your numbers the MSRP seems to be for a standard equiped 328xi.
Also, there are some lease calculators out there, but people will tell you those may not be actuate since there are a number of thing that go into the calculation.
I got another offer for a 07 328xi automatic with heated seats for 489/month INCLUDING tax(7%) 36 months, 12k miles. Up front cost will include first month, 388 mv and doc fees, 500 security, $625 bank fee.

Does anyone know the November MF and residual for a 2007 328xi coupe on a 24month/15k yearly mileage lease? A dealer I am working with quoted me 0.0013 and 70%, although someone listed on here that the MF is actually 0.001.

It is actually .00100. However, dealers are legally allowed to markup as much as .0004 and if you're doing European Delivery another .0003. So it looks sa though the dealer marked it up .0003.
I have the opportunity to get a brand new silver 330 conv. lists at $50695. for 43150. I really want the car, but don't want to regret waiting till spring for the 07. I want to get into the car tomorrow, but make sure that I'm making the right decision!
I would prefer 2 year, 15k miles per year, but I would be willing to go to 3 year and 12k if I could get the right price. Do you guys think the 2-year 15k is realistic at all?
To answer your first question, yes, the money factor on the 5s (0.0005) are better than the MFs on the 3s (0.001 for coupes, a tad higher for sedans). However, both MFs are incredibly low. As a comparison, my roommate did a search on MFs for Volvos, and they were in the 0.003 range, which is very high.
You need to remember that the MSRP and gross cap cost of a well-equipped 5 series will be a lot higher than that of a well-equipped 3 series. So, the lower MF on the 5s is balanced out by its higher MSRP and cap cost.
If you are only putting out $2000 *total*, you need to remember that the acquisition fee ($625-825), first month's payment, and security deposit (a month's payment, rounded up to the nearest $50 increment) will account for the majority of that 2k, with the rest for plates/registration. This basically means putting no cap cost reduction on the car.
Taking that into account along with the high tax rates in CA, I would be surprised if you could construct a lease for under $500 a month, tax included.
If you read my previous post (a few posts back), I was able to get a 328xi coupe lease here in Boston for $493 a month with around $4000 down (cap cost reduction, sec. deposit, first month, registration, etc).
I would look at getting a lease calculator, figuring out exactly what model you want, its money factor, MSRP with all options, residual, and estimated gross cap cost, and using those along with the length of the lease and your local tax rate to see how getting a sub-$500 payment might work.

Depending on where you live, I would say that the price being offered is pretty much on par with what I would expect (not a tremendous deal by any means where I'm at). Also, be careful because non-BMW dealerships will often market a vehicle as having leather when it actually has leatherette.
The Sport package is easily identified by the unique seats, a different steering wheel, and (in most cases) lowered suspension.
You are definitely going to want the extended warranty, as even though this vehicle has low miles, even easy fixes cost a boatload on a Beemer.

Well, if it has leatherette (and no premium package), then I'm guessing that you can get them to come down a little bit in that price. I'm not 100% familiar with the market in NY, but out here in SoCal the BMW market is very saturated and you could probably get a car like this for somewhere between 22k and 23k.
As for where to get the warranty, I'm not exactly sure. But I know if you call your local BMW dealership they should be able to give you a nice recommendation.

I rolled the aquisition fee in to the cap cost ($625), negotiated the doc fees, etc. into the negotiated price, and added .00015 to the MF instead of paying a security deposit.
Due at signing was first month payment of $566.81 + tax and tags.
The internet CA was very responsive and all negotiating was done on email over two days. Initially, they quoted a MF of .0019 and an aquisition fee of $825, both of which the CA conceded was just added dealer profit.
This was my first lease and BMW. Overall, it was a smooth and low stress process, mainly because after reading this board, I felt informed re: current pricing, rates, and the leasing process. Thanks to the people and moderators on this board for the help.

I live in NOVA and went out looking for a Beemer on a whim. Got one 2004, 30K miles, certified pre-owned (CPO) in practically show room condition. It came with CO2 control, central armrest, smoker's package (though I don't smoke neither did the previous owner), CD Player, Premium Package, BMW assit, cd changer, sreptronic auto trnas, rain sensor and auto hlight, black soft top, hi-fi stereo, power front seats, auto air. Edmunds priced it at about 29K and change for trade in 31K private sale and 34K dealer retail (because it was CPO). The MSRP was $36,900; when I got to it, it was at 33,500; I offered $30,500. Am considering a 2005 BMW 330Ci Convertible. can assume a 21 month lease for $519 a month. This already includes taxes. W/O taxes it would be $470 a month. This car has every option including cold weather package, sport package, NAVIGATION, xenons, and automatic transmission. It is flawless and in perfect condition. Additional costs would be about $700 for transfer fees and such. Does this make sense financially or should i just lease a new one? The available miles come out to 13k a year average.

Yes.. it is a very good deal.. Make sure you have enough allowable miles for your driving habits.
The deals last fall on the '05 3-series convertibles were fantastic.. If you tried to lease a new one, the price would probably be around $700/mo. or more.
Even with the great deals, it looks like the current lessee made a sizeable downpayment on the lease to get the payment that low. That car would have had an MSRP of around $53K.
Moving up to 15K/yr from 10K/yr is going to add about $50/mo. to a 27 month lease..
Usually the BMW advertised leases assume around a $1K discount from MSRP, so there might be a little more room to negotiate.. But, don't be surprised that once you pick the car you want, if they don't try to increase the price...

$700/mo. is typical for a new one, with no money upfront other than the 1st payment and security deposit.
I don't know the details of your lease, as you've only given your monthly payment.. but, what seems like small details sometimes makes for a big difference in the payment..

I didn't do a lease but I ran the numbers on my 335i and your number seems close to what I ran on $43k car.
Basically, once you get to the dealer, you are going to have to negotiate everything.... better be prepared.

Just saw the BMW lease deal from its website on the 328xi, 27month for $349/month with 2500 down, 10kmile/yr.
My question is, would that be the best deal, or I can acturally improved it by negotiating down the buying price, or money factor(other than leaving more security deposit)?
Due to my commute, I need to have the annual mileage to 15k miles and how would that change the terms and or payment?

The deals last fall on the '05 3-series convertibles were fantastic.. If you tried to lease a new one, the price would probably be around $700/mo. or more.
Even with the great deals, it looks like the current lessee made a sizeable downpayment on the lease to get the payment that low. That car would have had an MSRP of around $53K.

Usually the BMW advertised leases assume around a $1K discount from MSRP, so there might be a little more room to negotiate.. But, don't be surprised that once you pick the car you want, if they don't try to increase the price...

I posted just a few posts ago, number 6995 i think, and I am offered 445/m on a BRAND NEW 07 all wheel drive coupe with premium and navi. So how the hell u can pay 700 for an 05 i have no idea.

$700/mo. is typical for a new one, with no money upfront other than the 1st payment and security deposit.
I don't know the details of your lease, as you've only given your monthly payment.. but, what seems like small details sometimes makes for a big difference in the payment..
Also.. I'm baffled at why you would think I'm a salesperson.
