sorry for the long post
If the alternator is charging the battery, it's probably good.

The belt on ours was changed at around 50K so it was an easy elimination. The alternator was working so it came down to the wp for us.

1. replaced with GM's Z71 equipment (I believe by Bilstein)
2. replaced OEM shocks to Bilstein replacement at less $$ (also air shocks through Arnott Inc.)
http://www.arnottindustries.com/
3. replaced their OEM compressor with new
4. stick with OEM replacement shocks; but through a 3rd party vendor like Arnott at a cheaper price than from GM or local GM dealership...
I have not heard of anyone with air-line issues; but I would think to check that, soapy water may be the best...

Here's a tutorial on parasitic battery draws:
BATTERY DRAINS AND HOW TO FIX THEM
I have a 2004 Yukon Denali that just had the steering box replaced. Now, all the controls on the steering wheel are inoperative and I am getting inoperative air bag and stabili-track disabled messages. The mechanic said he touched nothing in the passenger area. I figure that a connector is loose or a fuse may have gotten blown. I do not see a loose connector and I have no idea which fuse may be powering the steering wheel controls. If somebody can point me in the right direction to get this fixed, that would be great.
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks
I am from General Motors Customer Service. How long has this problem been occurring? Do you currently have a case with GM? If so, what is the case number? Is the vehicle currently under warranty? Did the dealership say any codes came up when the service engine soon light was on? Thank you,
Mariah GM Customer Service
Thanks for your interest.
I think I would like one our agents to look at your situation for you. In order to do that I will need your contact information, dealership, VIN, and current mileage. You can direct message me all of the information. Just so you know they are going to require that you take the vehicle to a dealership to have it diagnosed. Thank you,
