Just curious, is this the lease payment you were offered or what to get to? If you were offered this, please let me know where if you dont mind because my local dealers were quoting me $100 more per month for a LX with single DVD. I would love to land the deal you mention!
Had a difficult time negotiating w/ NorCal dealer for a T&C Touring 25-L Signature Series (dvd, nav, swivel n go, dark crimson color) today. OTD price is $31,500 (includes $2,500 discount) and says he's losing $$$ and it's a good deal. My target OTD price is $30,000. I don't know how much is the holdback. Told him I'll sleep on it. The only way I could further bring the OTD price down is w/ a FFP discount. Would really appreciate if anyone can give their extra family and friends code. It's vacation time and how timely that my current vehicle is acting up. One of my least favorite is buying cars. Btw, what should be the OTD price for this vehicle? Thanks
dealer shows what looks like an invoice for a 25L touring signature series. i thought there's a $3,000 cash allowance not $2,500. so, his "chrysler invoice" shows an OTD dlr price/tax of $31,675. claims he's giving $1,000 holdback (could be partial) dlr's offering a final OTD of $31,500 (losing $175??). how can he offer less than Chrysler's invoice? however, edmund's invoice shows $31,214 (so, he's profiting $286). am i really getting a good deal for $31,500? says he can't remove the sirius 1yr subscription backseat tv and booster because they're incl as options. i'm tired of playing games - can someone pls help w/ friend's or employee code to end this game?

You can verify what the dealer is telling you by asking to see the invoice. Look for the "PP" (Preferred Pricing) code on the sheet. That's the same as the Friends price.
The only thing they can add to the Friends price is up to $75 for a documentation fee - no marketing or advertising fees. TTL is also extra if you live in a state where that is paid at the dealership. Rebates and other price incentives are subtracted from the Friends price for even greater savings.
Ask them if they will match that price without having to go through all the paperwork of getting a Friends control number. Some people on here have successfully done that.
I'd gladly give you one but my 6 numbers were all given out back in early January.
Also, rebates vary by region. You can find out what's available in your area by calling the Rebate Hotline at (800) 227-0757.
can i fax or email you what ALL the dealers are showing as invoice? tried to be an informed consumer but they still come up w/ tricks in their bag. how can i contact you for further advice as i have a scheduled vacation in 2 wks and don't want to be force to use my old van for safety reasons. there's not much selection and the reason i'm force to buy soon. thanks
Try sending me another PM to my Carspace address. There was something wrong with the system earlier and I had trouble contacting some people. I think it's all fixed now.
On the invoice price, I don't have access to invoice prices other than what anyone else on here does by looking it up on Edmunds. If they'll let you see the invoice and see the PP code you can calculate the exact invoice price from it because it is 1% below it.
I looked on this site because I wanted to know what other people were paying for their Town and Country. It seemed that the deals were different depending on the time of year and State. I had to decide between an Odyssey EX-L with RES or a T & C Touring Signature Series. My wife would have been happy with either one and to tell you the truth I was terrified to buy an American Car. I have a 2007 Honda Accord and it replaced my 1996 Accord with 207,000 miles on it. Obviously, I feel that Honda would have been the better choice, but to get the Odyssey the way the T & C was equipped, it would have cost me thousands more and I just couldn’t afford it.
I waited until memorial day weekend to purchase my T & C, and although it didn’t make that much of a difference, I found a dealership that wanted to make a deal and I was given a price about 600 bucks cheaper than the other dealerships.
Long Island NY:

I hope this helps anyone trying to purchase a new T & C. I Just picked it up the other day and so far no major complaints other than the My-Gig media center is rather confusing. The manuals (there are three) are over 1,000 pages.
Does this sound like a good deal? Has anyone else bought a T & C Touring in the last few weeks? Good luck to all!

Hi! I'm still deciding between the T&C and the Grand Caravan. So far all the T&C dealers are not budging and stayin at about 200 below invoice. I got this quote from a Dodge dealership from the southwest suburbs of chicago.

I have some questions. We have a 2005 Tahoe and are considering buying the T & C van. I love my Tahoe but hate the gas mileage and it's hard to get 3 kids in and out. Any others switched from Tahoe/Yukon to minivans?
What do you have to do in order to get the $1000 owner loyalty cash? We also have a 03 Dodge Ram so can we qualify?
Any other rebates besides that and the $2500 for those of us in Texas? Does anyone have any extra employee codes or FF code?
Lastly, we do want the DVD system but not really into the 2 DVD systems. Is it cheaper to get the dual system and then get the rebate for the free system or just get the single DVD with no rebates on it?
I took a look at a 2008 T&C limited. It's pretty well loaded and the sticker is $42,060 (includes dvd, power 3rd row, etc.). The invoice price is $38217.
Starting with the invoice price, I was offered $2500 off (rebate) as well as another $750 off (can't remember if it was $700 or $750) for costco discount. I also get the gas card promotion of course.
The price came out to about $35,000.
Is this a decent deal?
I was also thinking of leasing but their lease rates were not good. They said that I have excellent credit and quality for the best lease terms but my MF was .00220. they also charged the $700 lease acquisition fee (which it doesn't look like can be waived).
Sounds a good deal to me. My quote from the dealer was $34800 (after rebate) based on MSRP $41450. May I know what's the "gas card promotion"? Is it something offered by Costco? Thanks.
Small print say it is either/or on rebate, percentages or 2.99 gas program. If they are giving both, that's great, but I'll bet the dealer made a mistake and eats the difference. Below is from the program rules on the Chrysler web site.
"This special Let’s Refuel America Program is offered to eligible retail consumers who purchase or lease an eligible vehicle and take delivery during the program period. This special Let’s Refuel America Program is an alternative to the traditional incentive offers of Consumer Cash/Lease Cash and/or APR. This offer consists of a specific number of price-protected gallons of fuel at $2.99 per gallon* for regular 87 octane unleaded, E85, or diesel purchases, per vehicle in addition to a Let’s Refuel America Bonus Cash Program on select vehicles."
I won't be ready to buy for another 2 weeks or so - which will be after the $2500 cash back ends.
After a cash back promotion ends, do they typically go back to a 'no-cash-back' scenario for a certain time period (say a month for example) or would they typically 'up' the cash back amount? I remember back in Feb it was $1500 cash back, then when I went looking in May, I saw it was now $2500. I was just curious what the typical promotion schedule is like.
I know there is a phone number I have seen some people post that is the promotions hotline, but I'm sure they don't tell you what the cash back amount is going to be next month ...otherwise people would just wait until it is more $$ off!!
I just leased a 2008 T&C touring with some features of the Limited added at no additional cost. Dealer said sometimes manufacturers put items in on random vehicles. The 03 T&C I traded in was the same way - had items not usually found on the model. I traded in my 03 (great van with no problems) that I still owed $9500 on and paid no money down and my payments are only $10 a month more than my other van's. I wanted to lease because I get bored and want something new every few years.
I swore I would never drive a van (our son rode in the front seat of my ZX until he was 3) but kids and sports - football, lacrosse, cheerleading and soccer, dogs, and a mom who needs a wheelchair...made this van was the way to go.
My teenage son calls it "BA" and that is a COOL thing these days. Even he doesn't mind driving!!!!
Last Saturday, stopped by Chrysler dealership to look at T&C over Dodge. Asked dealer about trade on our van. Upfront we told them about our F&F discount. They came back with $16,361 for trade in allowance. We needed about $2500. We shook hands, thanked them for their time and left on great terms. Tuesday, the dealership began calling us. Cust Svc Rep asked what kept us from doing deal? I said the trade in amount. She contacted sales people and called us back to say they thought they could work something out, would we be willing to come in. An appointment for Friday (5 days after 1st visit) was set. Before this appointment, I had approx 7 more calls with sales manager and sales person going over the deal in detail and in very clear terms regarding trade in amount, purchase price of vehicle, F&F discount, rebates and the fact that we didn't want them to waste our time nor their time. The sales manager told me they could only come up $750.00 on the trade to $17,111. We decided we could live with that and kept our appointment. My husband and I took the afternoon off of work and drove thirty+ miles to this dealership. The T&C MSRP was $35,120. They said F&F was $32,259. We were to get $3000 in rebates, which makes purchase price $29,259. On their deal sheet, they listed sales price as $35,120, trade in allowance as $17,111 less $3000 discount which left a difference of $15009. They completely left out the F&F -- Refused to give it to us. Said the trade allowance was based on msrp when they knew since last Saturday, we had F&F. They completely lied and misled us to get us back in the dealership. I assume hoping we wouldn't notice. I called the GM. He said there are rules on the friends and family purchases. And that if we were getting F&F, then they could not give us full trade in allowance, and that it would have to be based on ACV (actual cash value). What makes me so angry is they knew the entire time, and through each and every phone call -- but yet continued to lie and tell us they were going to give us the $17,100 for our van. Is anyone aware of rules for friends and family that might support the GM's claims. I have searched the internet but cannot find anything. Any recourse? I do have the deal in writing, of course less the discount for F&F.

I bought a Sebring last September, using the employee discount. The salesman told me right up front that they could not give me as much on my trade as the Saturn dealer down the road because they were hardly making anything with my discount.
I stood up and got ready to leave and he suddenly was ready to bend a little on the price. I ended up getting almost twice as much for my trade as their original offer.
Anyway, I've heard the same story about low trade-in offers and the Friends or employee discount before. It's common but they seemed to have stretched things a bit in your case.
I met yesterday with our local dealership here in South Dakota. I'm looking at the 08 T&C Signature Series. Sticker price is $32,760. They are offering me a 36 month lease (10,500 miles/ear) with $0 down for $390/month. He said the special lease rates end today.
I'm all out of the 6 I had for this year. However, I've read several stories where buyers have successfully negotiated with the dealer to match the Friends price on the invoice. In some cases they've done even better. Give that a try and see if it works.
If you have something to trade, research the trade-in value before you get to the dealer. A great deal on a new minivan might not be so great if they make it up on your trade.
Has anyone received any friends/family codes from posting on here? After two years of trying to become pregnant and thousands of dollars in fertility treatments, we are now expecting triplets. Subtract about $7000 in baby items from our bank account on top of that since we now have to buy for 3 babies! Hubby is active duty Navy and I'm finishing my education. I'll be a stay-at-home wife/mom for the first few years and our income is limited. Because we can't fit 3 carseats in our Toyota Highlander (which we FINALLY paid off last year, by the way), we need to trade it in for a minivan. After a lot of car shopping this weekend, we have pretty much settled on a town & country lx...the base model with the 3-zone climate control and 2nd row stow & go bucket seats (so I can fold one down and get to the two carseats in the 3rd row). Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that if anyone needs a price break, we certainly do. They are offering $14K for our trade, though I hope we can bump it up a bit...and they are offering $21,900 for the van...MSRP was $25,495, I believe. So a difference of $7900 so far (w/out tax/tags). We came into this hoping to spend no more than $5K (fat chance, I realize). If anyone out there really does have a friends/family code and feels like "donating" it to us, we would be more than appreciative. BTW, we also live in a town with smaller dealerships and the next largest town is nearly 3 hours away. I wonder if that's why we're having so much trouble? Via the phone, one of the dealerships in the other town offered $15,600 for our trade...but that was sight unseen and it sounds really shady. Pregnant ladies don't have the energy to drive 6 hours in one day to take a chance on a vehicle...and hubby is on the ship so much that we can't find time to make it out there. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate them!
wow ... makes our ordeal of only spending a couple thou on fertility and expecting merely twins (along with a daughter we already have) seem petty compared to your triplets!!! Congrats & good luck with those!!! I posed the same request back in Feb and had a chance to get a friends code, but we weren't 100% positive we were getting a T&C or GC, so didn't want to waste the code. Haven't gotten any bites yet when I re-requested it .... I have read success stories of some folks getting the friends code price without actually having a code, so I'm going to try for that.
I have read success stories of some folks getting the friends code price without actually having a code, so I'm going to try for that.
Guys (and gals), I received another email today from a new owner who struck a deal with their local dealer for less than the Friends price. I occasionally get PM requests for a discount code, which I'd gladly give out if I had any left. I only had 6 for the whole year and they were all gone before the end of January.
I always suggest that the customer ask the dealer if they will match the Friends price shown on the invoice for a new minivan. In some cases, such as earlier today, they even end up with a better price than what I could have gotten for them.
It's a buyer's market right now and sales people are especially willing to make deals.
Thank you so much for your help! I sent you a message through the carspace.com email. Please let me know if you did not receive it. Additionally, please feel free to email me at cernanec@hotmail.com.
Thanks again for everything. This will be a HUGE help and I will keep you posted. We are hoping to wrap things up in the next day or two...our salesman is just trying to locate the best-priced vehicle, so hopefully this will really help.
I see that the cash back allowance of $2500 on Dodge/Chrysler GC/T&C ended yesterday and there isn't a new amount today ... it's back to $0 off. Hopefully they will have another cash back allowance in July.
I did get a booket in the mail yesterday from Dodge that has a coupon in it for $750 off a GC or T&C, that is good thru 7/31. Anybody else get that?
Snoopy - First, congrats on the twins! After all the infertility stuff, it feels good to finally be pregnant, even if it's with a whole litter, haha.
I was just about to write you a message to see if you ever found out about the next promotion, but I see you haven't. As for us, we met our salesguy on Saturday and the dealership was closed on Sunday (Texas law doesn't allow the dealerships to be open for two consecutive weekend days). Then on Monday he called to say he found the vehicle we were looking for. Then suddenly after not hearing from him for hours, I called back and he said he was looking for a better deal. He is having to go through other dealers since their dealership is so small and only has one T&C left in stock right now. So now it's Tuesday and I left him a voicemail to say "hey, we have a family friend who is trying to get us a code...so hopefully that will help you crunch the numbers a bit more"...but I still haven't heard back from him. I'm kind of irritated because yesterday morning he wanted to close the deal ASAP to get the numbers on last month's books and now he's barely even calling me back. Do you think they will still honor the incentives that expired yesterday being that he is the one taking his time? I have no problem calling another dealership, but I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt if he is, in fact, working so hard. However, I've already found plenty of vehicles matching our requested description at other dealerships online with low prices, so I'm not understanding why he's having so much trouble.
Ugh...just a little frustrated...wondering if anyone knows whether or not they will still honor the incentive that expired yesterday?
Snoopy - I finally just called the dealer back and talked to the sales manager who was working with our salesman to try and see what is going on. Sounds like they are still honoring the $2500 discount with us, so maybe if you go in today, you can talk them into it. Might be worth a try.
I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the code. I just wanna get this carbuying thing overwith and cross it off the to-do list. When I talked to the sales manager about the code, he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about...after a bit more conversation, he finally came around.
I see the Dodge & Chrysler websites have been updated ... the $2500 cash allowance is back. However, if you use the search inventory feature look through your local dealer inventories, it isn't shown on the window stickers like before ... hopefully, they'll update soon!!
Yes, I recieved it and used it to purchase an 08 T&C Touring with a straight 25K package. Final price was $21,050. I also qualified for the lease loyalty rebate so I thought it was a pretty good deal. Getting back to the $750.00 make sure you hang onto the original coupon, and as far as I know it doesn't disqualify you from any other rebates, best of luck.
I was offered $0 down ($600 for tax, title, etc. at signing), 15,000 mi/year, $250 per month for a 2008 Town and Country Touring lease. It's a 27 month lease. Is this a good deal?
Can you give the discount breakdown? Did you get the $2500 rebate and the $750 coupon and how much was lease loyalty? Also was this a friends and family deal?
We are looking at both the T and C along with GC and it seems like you got a great price! The best we were able to get to in March was $22000 on a Grand caravan SXT, which is $1000 cheaper than the T and C Touring.
My wife and I are within 15 days of buying our 08 T&C Limited. The dealer just called with a new (higher) money factor. It is pushing the payment higher than we want. Both my wife and I have FICOs over 800. To those in the know, what should a current grade A Money factor be through Chrysler Financial. Also, we are in California. Besides the $2500, what other rebates might apply to us ie, are available to CA residents.
The total rebate was $4,250.00. So I assume it was $2,500, $750, and then $1,000 lease loyalty. They invoiced the purchase price at $25,300.00 to make the number work. This was not a family and friends deal. To be honest with you I wasn't getting anywhere on the negotiation until I produced a faxed quote from another dealer. They ended up beating that deal by $1,200.00. The salesman didn't want me to go back to the other dealer to get their offer matched so he kept lowering the price. He finally hit what I thought was a fair deal so I signed off on it.
I think once you get to the end of June they'll be offering the same or better deals, jmho. Best of Luck, haynz79
I bought my 2008 T&C Touring Signature Series on Friday. Sticker was $32,760 (including the free DVD discount). I paid $30,260 less $2,500 cash rebate and $750 Chysler mag coupon. I'm leasing and my first payment was something like $500 plus tax and license. My monthly payments will be $311. The salesman told me that the money factor I was getting was .00068. I'm only doing the 10,500 miles/year, so the residual is 51% and they based that on the actual sticker of $34,285 (before the free DVD discount), which works in my favor. The numbers don't pencil out exactly, but I wasn't going to squabble over a dollar or two.
Interesting thing... the paperwork I signed showed that I paid $31,260 and I got $4,250 in incentives. I'm guessing that maybe they got me in under the loyalty incentive (which I was told I don't qualify for since I'm not a returning lessee) and put the extra $1,000 in their pocket... but, I'm satisfied with the deal.
Not sure I love the van, yet. But, I'm satisfied with the money end.
jensen3- Could you elaborate on your "not sure that I love the van yet" statement? We drove a Sig Series today after a lot of research and I kind of felt the same way. We get a supplier discount which is faaaaar greater than the discount we get on the Saturn Outlook, which I loved. But I can't help but feel that I'm 'settling'

I'm still confused. From your earlier post, it seemed you got the rebate and the gas card. Is it possible?
Thanks,
Justin
I swore I would never drive a van (our son rode in the front seat of my ZX until he was 3) but kids and sports - football, lacrosse, cheerleading and soccer, dogs, and a mom who needs a wheelchair...made this van was the way to go.
My teenage son calls it "BA" and that is a COOL thing these days. Even he doesn't mind driving!!!!
PLEASE HELP!
If you have something to trade, research the trade-in value before you get to the dealer. A great deal on a new minivan might not be so great if they make it up on your trade.
Thanks!

Good luck!!!
I'll be happy to give you one of my friends discount. Please email me the following information:
First and Last Name
Address
Date of Birth
Phone Number
Email Address
Last 4 of your SS#
I will get the code to you promptly, and PLEASE be sure to use it. I have held back on requests unless they are truly worthy.
Thanks again for everything. This will be a HUGE help and I will keep you posted. We are hoping to wrap things up in the next day or two...our salesman is just trying to locate the best-priced vehicle, so hopefully this will really help.
Thanks!
Crystal
I did get a booket in the mail yesterday from Dodge that has a coupon in it for $750 off a GC or T&C, that is good thru 7/31. Anybody else get that?
I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the code. I just wanna get this carbuying thing overwith and cross it off the to-do list. When I talked to the sales manager about the code, he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about...after a bit more conversation, he finally came around.
We are looking at both the T and C along with GC and it seems like you got a great price! The best we were able to get to in March was $22000 on a Grand caravan SXT, which is $1000 cheaper than the T and C Touring.
Thanks
Joe :confuse:
This was not a family and friends deal. To be honest with you I wasn't getting anywhere on the negotiation until I produced a faxed quote from another dealer. They ended up beating that deal by $1,200.00. The salesman didn't want me to go back to the other dealer to get their offer matched so he kept lowering the price. He finally hit what I thought was a fair deal so I signed off on it.
I think once you get to the end of June they'll be offering the same or better deals, jmho.
Best of Luck,

Interesting thing... the paperwork I signed showed that I paid $31,260 and I got $4,250 in incentives. I'm guessing that maybe they got me in under the loyalty incentive (which I was told I don't qualify for since I'm not a returning lessee) and put the extra $1,000 in their pocket... but, I'm satisfied with the deal.
Not sure I love the van, yet. But, I'm satisfied with the money end.
