    Aah a Citicar, sometime in the mid-late 70s. When I was a little kid my aunt won one of those in a shopping mall contest - one of those or its similar looking wedge electric twins. I remember it held my interest for a few minutes, but I was about 5.

    The C70 is probably the best looking hard top convertible. It doesn't have that awkward look when the top is up but you shouldn't get one in a light color cause the top seams show through too much.

    I think the SL can pull it off too. It's all about having a decent sized rear quarter window to balance things out.

    We're looking for a mid-engined V6 with a pop-up rear spoiler. Nothing comes immediately to mind.

    Unless the picture is deceiving and that's a flat 6 which would make it a Porsche 987

    Er, it has an intercooled, twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 with variable valve timing and lift. 90-degree V8, power output of about 600 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Revs to 8,500 rpm.

    That should confirm that it's a supercar. Supposed to have dihedral doors.

    And you may be able to spot one of the 20 prototypes that currently exist (in various stages of construction) at Nürburgring.

    I don't think the car to the left is an Alfa - I think it's a Peugeot 504 - a Hardtop based on the cabriolet.

    Indeed, good example of an exception to the rule.

    A little detail - what I like most is that the seam that runs from the rear window to the back is disguised by the body lines. It faces up, so you don't see those from the profile.

    In a dark color it would be even better.

    I think my PRHT Miata has the same pin-head look with the top up, but mine's always down anyway. The (manually) removeable hard top looks better IMHO.

    Mine looks exactly like this, color and rims. This is my car's worst angle:

    Rats, I cannot find an NC Miata with a manual hard top. It mimicks the lines of the soft top, though. The rear window is raked back, and it looks much more balanced.

    No matter - I'd still buy another PRHT today. Function over form. Plus it looks fine with the top down.

    That's the Subaru-based Toyota FT86 sport coupe. To me it looks like a mini Ferrari 456GTA, with a little Genesis Coupe and maybe a bit of RX8 mixed in.

    Correct, still in concept form. I'm sure that interior will be toned down quite a bit before production.

    Sorry about the pic size, it resized bigger than I thought, but few pics are available.

    It's about 10" shorter than a Civic. 2.0l boxer engine with DI, 6 speed manual. Should be light and have a very low center of gravity. The front hood is to low you might think it's mid engined at first, but it's front engine, rear drive.

    If you edit your posts, often you can add width=600 height=400 in the URL, right before the apostrophe at the right bracket, and that'll help them fit on the page.

    Sometimes it skews the proportions a bit though.

    Do right click | properties on your picture and note the width and height in pixels. Take the width and divide 650 by that width. That ratio then gets multiplied times the width of the original graphic. Use that number for height. This will retain your proportions.

    So you insert after the apostrophe and before the "greater than" sign after clicking on the link to your picture with the IMG button..., width="650" height="XXX" where XXX is your new height.

    This should resize your picture to the largest that won't interfere with the right hand frame in Edmund's window.

    Your finished link after corrections will look like this:

    Or else, you can open the pic with Photoshop or similar and save the pic after having re-sized it to 650-width. The saved new pic is to that to be posted.

    Lots of math (not that there's anything wrong with that :) ).

    The problem with editing a pic in 'shop or Paint, is that you then have to park it on your CarSpace page or somewhere else where you can host it.

    One of these years maybe our software will automatically handle pics and not skew pages....

    The calculation is:

    650......................... new height
    --------- .........= .......------------------
    old width............ ....old height

    So for a 1200 x 760 picture

    650 ........................ x
    ---------...... =.......---------------
    1200.......................760

    Using this method 760 * 650 / 1200 = 411.6 = 411 pixels for new height.

    I wonder how brakes and axis are protected against (sweet and salted) water! Front wheels are turning to the right or left hands even when the "mobil" is in the water.

    I agree on the 1957 Ford. I think the Mercury is a '54, the '55s had hooded lights. The Corvair looks 1960, but you can't really tell. The white wagon is a Rambler American, about '61.
