    When those big street Hemis came out ( I mean the REAL Hemis of the 60s), the world, and most store windows, trembled. *Very* ornery to drive however.

    You're right - a 440 Wedge was a smoother driver than a 426 Hemi.

    VW customers seem to either adore their cars to death or detest them and tell you to avoid them at all costs.

    Both extremes.

    I've heard the DSG is having issues now? If so, that's a shame. That really seemed to signal a turn-around for them.

    The 160 MPH was attained on a Dyno. I would not feel safe much past 35 MPH in one. Looks like something a Shriner would use in a parade. I would cruise around our little village in one. The builder owns a Powder Coating company here in San Diego. No website. This is the closest I could find on him.

    The two cars with the brake lights illuminated appear to be 1965 Plymouth Fury III hardtops. The car with open doors appears to be a 1962 Ford Country Sedan station wagon.

    I'm pretty sure the Plymouth nearest the camera is a convertible.

    I came *thiiiiiiiiis* close to owning one of those.

    My dad was shopping for a used car for me when I was 16, and it was between a Fuego and a Mustang. He got the latter.

    Yeah that Bitter shape reminds me of the Ferrari 400 I think and the Fiat 130 coupe? They all have similiar proportions and body lines.

    Man I like the profiles on all those cars. They kind of remind me of a Chevy II profile. Just a longer rear deck then the Chevy II.

    Yup Pininfarina did the Fiat 130 and the Ferrari 400. If they did the Bitter SC, it's a closely held secret. Most likely the Bitter was just "heavily influenced" by the PF designs. Pinfarina made some handsome designs during the 1970s and 80s but they lacked the fluid lines of their best 60s cars>

    D'oh...I can read the windshield...it's a Zastava 750, a built under license Fiat...maybe an Abarth version. N-suffix would make it 1974-75 I think, but I don't know if it's a year-appropriate plate.

    Behind it is a VW Beetle with similar registration, an XJS, a BMC Farina with its hood up (maybe a Wolseley as it appears to have a radiator shell space), further back is an MGB-GT, A Fiat 500, a RR Spirit/Spur or Bentley equivalent, and at right looks like a Standard 10.

    The difference year to year are subtle, but it has the small side marker lights so I'd guess about a 69-70 GTV 1750. I think something is missing from the grille

    Nice ones usually go from $15000 to $25000.

    I agree, that's definitely a 1750 GTV ca. '69 or '70, it's missing the horizontal bar in the middle of the grille so it looks a bit like the earler 1600 Sprint Veloce but the four headlights are the giveaway. Here's what it should look like in front>

    Maybach yes. If I'm reading the article right though, there's no 61 involved in the nomenclature (or 57 or 62....).

    Any other guesses before I post the link to the real gaga stuff (that's barely SFW or maybe even NSFW)?
