to think....they killed the MG nameplate so that they could make this....this.....thing.

The TR8 is much more popular, although that slug of a V8 is not anything approaching "fast" by modern standards. An AC Cobra or Sunbeam Tiger it's not.

Yup, it's a '57 Coupe de Ville. Caddies don't get any better than that IMO.

    Front row...

Accord Crosstour (concept?), Gen 1 Insight, Prelude, Civic, early CVCC Civic, can't tell on the red car.

Middle row is Integra, then Integra Type R, Legend sedan, another Legend sedan, then Legend coupe.

Back row is hard to see, an orange Civic hatch, yellow Civic hatch, red 84-88 Civic, white 89-93 Civic.

Not the lineupe I'd choose to show off. I'd put an NSX, an Integra Type-R, and then the new CR-Z.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,465
The red car in the front looks like a 90s Civic coupe.

The row with rears facing camera is a chronological Accord lineup - from left to right is a 70s hatchback, a ca. 1980 sedan, an 82-85 sedan, and a 90-93 wagon.

The back row at far left looks like a dark red N600, then the orange Z600 , then the yellow 70s Civic.

That's a neat collection of Hondas. Is this a museum or a dealership that has these cars?

It's not exactly a museum but American Honda keeps those cars in a warehouse somewhere in So Cal.

"It's not exactly a museum but American Honda keeps those cars in a warehouse somewhere in So Cal. "

Maybe for spare parts, since all (except the new cross platform) are still on the road somewhere in SoCal! :surprise:

They use salt to melt snow on roads here, I'm sure they don't last half as long...

When it says "Ford Focus" on the Euro-style front plate, that's a pretty big clue, I think. :P
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
I prefer the Mondeo, to be honest, but it still looks pretty good. 10 times better than the ancient Focus we're getting here now.

I can see that going up against the VW Jetta, instead of just sitting in rental fleets.

    Clueless?

Painted in its national racing color.

A guess here, but is blue for Italy, as in Forza Azure?
  • jlbljlbl Member Posts: 1,333
Nope. For France. Italy is red, as in Ferrari. :D

I don't know it's name, but Ace Deucey and his gang drove a fleet of them in an episode of "Speed Racer". There was a button on the dash you could press that would make spikes come out of the wheel hubs, so you could knock out all the other racers. :P

Blue racing color, and the brand name is R...... (white in a bottle, milk :P )

And, yes she was almost as fictional as the "Speed Racer", though she eventually got a world record in Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.

I'll say a Skoda Octavia estate, or whatever the wagon is called. I rode in some Skoda taxis before, very reminiscent of VW's in terms of design and quality obviously due to VW owning the company.

Behind it is a euro Ford Focus that's a year or two old.

Yep, that's a Skoda Octavia Wagon. Skodas are highly regarded across the pond where some say they are often better than their VW cousins.

    Spam anyone?

Someone from India. We get a few every day from there, the Philippines, China. Just shoot a host an email and we'll usually find 'em faster that way.

Hard to believe that a realtor at Chapel Real Estate in in Chapel Hill, NC would stoop to such idiotic and irritating marketing techniques though. Tell your friends. :shades:

I have a 1932 Crosley radio that was my Mom's gift to my Grandmother. Does it count?
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
A genetic connection to be sure but it won't fit in your Crosley car.

Did you know that Crosley also made the first fax machine? It was called "Reado".
  • texasestexases Member Posts: 11,125
My "Crosley" story is going to Crosley Field in Cincinnati to watch "the Big Red Machine"...not cars, but how often can I bring that story up? :P

Both GMs, The left one is an early to mid 90s Bonneville. The right one is a late 90s (97?) Lumina.

If there were toll roads like that around Puget Sound, that kind of thing would happen daily. :lemon:
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
It would be even funnier to see two minicars side-by-side actually make it and pay only one toll. :D
  • lemkolemko Member Posts: 15,261
Crosley also made a refrigerator that used no electricity called the Iciball. They were also the first to manufacture a refrigerator with shelves in the doors called the Shelvador. They also manufactured a one-tube radio called the Pup.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Powell Crosley not only made cars, appliances and radios but was also a significant radio broadcast pioneer who put WLW-AM/Cincinnatti on the air and later owned radio and TV stations in New York, St.Louis, Columbus and other markets.

I worked for Crosley Broadcasting's successor in the 1970s

'62 Rambler Ambassador wagon, and I'm guessing a '62 Ford Falcon Futura.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,670
Correct on the Rambler and good guess on the Falcon which is a '61, not that there's any way to tell from that angle. ;)

"Maximum Bob" Lutz wants to bring it to the US, called it a '4-door Corvette'...OK, as long as they don't do this:

Yup, kinda interesting they put a Pontiac G8 nose on it instead of the Holden front end. :confuse:
