    Hello All,

This is my first time leasing so I'm very green and don't know whether I'm getting ripped off or not... The deal I'm getting is for a 2009 G37x sedan w/ MSRP of $41,230. Its a 39mo lease with 10k a year. The monthly payments come out to be $500 and total out of pocket is first payment plus plates. I have not gone to many dealerships because I'm truly strapped for time and have no clue whether those advertised specials on dealer websites are true... If anyone can please shine some light on what i can be getting or should be getting as monthly payments I will be beyond grateful! Thanks!!!

Sorry, I've been playing around on purchase forum.

This is probably old news to you but: 59% residual on Convertible, 39 month, 15k

We have $2000 dealer cash on Convertibles, so you should be able to get some discount from the dealer + $2000 more off to go along with great residual.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Sorry - I'm so late in answering, I did not see it before.

    09 G sedan, 39 months, 15k - residual is 52%
    10 G sedan, 39 months, 15k - residual is 57%

However, the money factors are better on 2009, plus more discounts from dealer and $1000 from Infiniti on 09.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
We have this too. It is just the customer can't buy their own lease for less than the residual...but the dealer may get a lower price and could then sell it back to the customer...same as MB.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    Better late than never...

    09 coupe (getting hard to find), 36 month, 15k = 57%
    39 month, 15k = 56%

Acq fee = $595, Dealer fee = $0 (if there is one, it is just a profit to them), Doc fee = don't know Florida, but around $200 in Texas.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    2010 sedan, 6mt, 39 month, 10k = 61%
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
This is probably way too late...but I ran all the numbers you gave me using Texas TTL and I think it is a good deal. Now I was assuming 15k per year and I am assuming you have good credit.

If you really pushed - you could get it down another $15/month or so, but overall it seems fair.

Sorry those other guys were so vague... :)
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    09 Conv (different than coupe) - 36, 15k = 58% 39 w/ 15k = 59%

They seem backwards, but they are not! Higher residual on longer term; however, the money factor is higher on the 39 month lease.

If you want more miles - it is 10 cents per mile.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
I ran the numbers - it looks like they are just blowing this car out to you - so I think it is a good deal. Taxes are a little different in all states, but the residuals don't change. 39 month, 10k on an 09 G AWD = 56%. Tier 1 (awesome credit) money factor is .00125 - I ran your lease with $800 due at signing and came out at $499/month - that backed into a cap cost of $38,500 which is close to invoice.

I would go down to the dealer that is closest or that you like the best and pick one out - you could probably get them to knock off about $15/month or throw in tint or something, but your in the ballpark. :)

I'm interested in leasing a 2010 G37 Sedan for my wife with premium, nav and sport packages. What is the residual and money factor for a 10K lease? What is the loyalty discount, if any? I'm in Long Island if that matters. Thanks in advance as I am a first time leaser.
  • allagarooallagaroo Member Posts: 88
36 month lease of a 2010 G37 Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00172 and 61%, respectively. Residual for 10000 miles is 2% more or 63%. Ordered from Infiniti Massapequa. Great salesman. Knowledgeable, low pressure, very accommodating.. 39 months will work out less per month. Ordered 2010 G37xS black/black. Car is in and I will pick up in Feb.

    AWD, 39 month, 10k = 61% $1000 Loyalty Rebate
  • bbyanksbbyanks Member Posts: 12
I live in Massapequa and plan on buying from that dealership too (assuming their price is good) My wife is interested in the exact same options/color as you ordered. Thanks for the info. I'll see you around town!

when I bought my G37x, Premium + Navigation in 12/09, I also negotiated a lease option that comes out to be about ~$420/month + taxes, 39 months lease, 10k/yr. back then, the mf was 0.00125 and the residual was 56% on the lease.

the msrp of the car was $41,380 so I think yours should be close.

I ended up buying the car at 33,895 but the capitalized cost for the car would have been just $2500 more for the lease.

the drive-out cost is $1k, which includes 1st payment + taxes + other stuff.

I think you can do better.

I have been reading these message boards for several weeks and they have been very helpful.
After much thought, I have settled on leasing the following vehicle...
2009 G37x Black with Graphite interior. ( Would also accept Graphite or Liquid Platinum exterior) 15k miles and either 36 or 39 months.
Options needed...Premium Package, Navigation, splash guards, trunk mat and cargo net.

    MSRP $41,380

It appears I should expect to pay about $36,000 after the $1000 lease cash has been applied. Should I expect the dealer to kick in any of the $2500 dealer cash to lower the cap cost further?

    I need the following information...
Residuals and money factors for 36 and 39 months.

It appears there are at least 15 of these cars within a 100 mile radius of Indianapolis and I plan on reach out to at least 4 dealers with this request.

I will pay first and fees at inception.

    Thanks for your responses.

Do you have any other details you can share? Negotiated price of the car, residual, money factor?

    Thanks..

That's the lowest down payment and lowest monthly for a G37X with premium and nav in ny that I've ever heard of, by far. That deal sounds impossible for a new car. What the heck was the invoice price? That deal is far lower than a lease deal I was just offered for a mid spec VW Tiguan without leather or nav. :confuse:

dealkicker1,are u getting it through a broker or a dealership?
if broker, who are u using ? ez leasing, grandprix, signature, empire, regency ?
  • dealkicker1dealkicker1 Member Posts: 3
Thats all i have, its for a lease so i really don't care what the price of the car is or the residual. I lease a car so i can get a new one in 3 years. The money factor is the same.
Nothing down all im paying at signing is $1,100 dollars for 1st month, dmv, bank
15k with NY taxes rolled into monthly payment 480 per month for either 36 or 39 (not sure) for a 2009.
  • dealkicker1dealkicker1 Member Posts: 3
i am getting it through a dealership in NJ. They are ready to deliver the car tomorrow.
do you think its a good deal?

    Hi guys,

I am getting a quote for a 2009 G37x with premium + navi for $450/month including tax and first month payment of $2600 including all taxes and title. Is this a good price?

    Thanks.

Most people here know that you negotiate a lease just like you negotiate a purchase, by selling price, not by payment. Without knowing the selling price not many people here are going to evaluate your deal.

which dealer? i'm in nj and looking for the same deal but with 12k miles.
  • falcon7afalcon7a Member Posts: 4
I'm not sure what the selling price is, the dealer didn't give that to me. Its for a 39 month lease with 10k miles per year.

    Thanks.
  • millwood0millwood0 Member Posts: 451
I negotiated a lease option on an identical car last December. It comes to $440/month, tax included, + 1k down.

you should be able to do better now.
  • falcon7afalcon7a Member Posts: 4
Excellent, thanks for the advise. I will continue pushing.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
I ran numbers on a 09 G37x, Prem, nav - 39 month lease for 10k per year - assuming you have Tier 0 credit (the best) with $2600 due at signing - stripping out the front (selling the vehicle for $1000 below invoice) and at the buy rate of .00125. Now I used Texas taxes and we have sales tax credits in our state right now - so that could be a big advantage. I came out with $405.74 per month for 38 more months.

Now - I would never agree to that deal from my end - because it makes NO money at all for the company. I would charge $500 over on the price and .00167 on the money factor and the payment would be $446. And that is still a great deal.

So, if your quoted $450 - you are in the right ballpark. (in my opinion). :)

Good luck and keep in mind there are no more 2009 vehicles coming, what is on the ground is it - if you wait to long you will have to go to a 2010 and those are running about $40 or so more.

    Please advise on the following:

2010 6MT Sedan with Nav Package
    MSRP w/destination: $39,715.00

Was told a money factor of .00187 and residual of 61%

10k a year 39 months was offered the following:

$480.00 per month with only DMV due at signing or...

$419.00 per month with $2,485.92 due at signing plus DMV-(Sales tax $1459.42, Tire tax $12.50, first payment $419.00, bank fee $595.00)

Plus looks like I'm going to have to order which will take 90 days they are saying...anyone have experience ordering?

    Any input is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks...
  • millwood0millwood0 Member Posts: 451
    I ran the following:

    a) capitalized costs 33895+2500=36395
    b) msrp 41380
    c) residual % 56%
    d) money factor 0.00125
    e) term 39

    f=b*c) residual $ 23173
    g=(a-f)/e) depreciation / month 339
    h=d*(a+f)) financing cost / month 74
    i=g+h) Total Monthly Payment 413

you can easily implement it in your excel.

it is for a 2009 G37x, Premium + Navigation, 10kmiles/year for 39 months. All Infiniti numbers. zero down, and the drive-off payment is $1k (including the 1st monthly payment + taxes + title + fees). all the numbers are before taxes.

the purchase price for the car is 33895, cash. Because I had to use Infiniti financing, I wouldn't be eligible for the $2500 discount, so for the capitalized cost for the lease is 33895+2500=36395.

since your drive-off payment is $1.6K higher than mine, I would attribute that as a down payment. If I do that, your numbers look like this:

    capitalized costs 34795
    msrp 41380
    residual % 56%
    money factor 0.00125
    term 39

    residual $ 23173
    depreciation / month 298
    financing cost / month 72
    Total Monthly Payment 370

adding 20-30 dollars for taxes will bring the total to about $390 - 400. or about $50 cheaper than yours.

What this shows you is that you HAVE to negotiate on purchase prices first and work your way down there. Do NOT fall for the dealer trap of negotiating monthly payments because they have too many ways to screw you that way.

    good luck.

Looking for a 09 g37 journey with a moonroof in FL for my wife. Is it reasonable to ask for inceptions down and 350 a month 39months and 12k/yr mileage. What would I need to get the price down to for that. What dealer cash or incentives are out there for me to ask for. Thanks!!
  • awd250awd250 Member Posts: 63

    Car Man

What is the residual and money factor for a 10k/36 month lease?

Would a cap cost of 38k be out of the question on a 2010? I do have $1000.00 in loyalty credits.

Let me know. I would love to get the car this week

    Bought 2010 G37X Graphite Shadow/Graphite with:
Premium, Nav., Sport, Trunk net/ mat, first aid kit and splash guards for $37,000. plus MA sales tax. I thought this was a fair price, although maybe not the lowest. I'm not the best of shoppers according to this forum.
    MSRP $42,370.
Tech, Wood and Illuminated Sill Plates not available in the area. I would have liked to get the Tech and wood since I had it in my "M", but can easily live without them.
I previously had a 2006 M35X and was very pleased with it. The new "G" is great and much more fun to drive. Great value for the money.

    Bondi,

That seems to be an amazing price. Did that number include a trade-in? Are you financing through IFS? Did you lease it? (this is a leasing thread)

    Let me know

If someone with good lease knowledge could please take a minute to look at the post I am replying to....and confirm that given those numbers I provided, the selling price would be around $36,100.00. That seems pretty good to me ...for a 2010, with about $3,615.00 off MSRP. Unless if I am missing something here? Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    10 G37x 36 month/10k = 62% Tier 0 money factor is .00191 (best credit).
  • reddragon7reddragon7 Member Posts: 12
    Do these numbers make sense:

    MSRP $40,915
    Invoice $37,635
    Cap Cost $38,000
    36m/10k
    Top tier credit
    NJ 7% tax

    $471.95 + $33.04 tax = $504.99 (excluding inceptions tag/title)

    Does this sound reasonable?

Have a lease on 2008 G35 that expires in April and got this letter (with severe time constraints) saying "special test-market pricing and finance event" at my local dealer. They "need to acquire several pre-owned 2008 by January 31. Of course, the devil is in the details, but is there really a demand and leverage here?

Hello. I'm trying to figure out why the numbers given to me by the dealer is way off then the numbers from the lease calculator.

    Here's the dealer numbers:
    MSRP: 40,5000
    Invoice: 37,400
    Sales Price: 34,000
    MF: .00165
    RV: 57%
    Monthly: $422
    NJ Tax: 7%
Drive out: $2800 (1st month, ttl, bank fee, dmv)

Lease calc comes out to $400.24 ($374.06 + 26.18[tax]). Not sure if the lease calc number includes the drive out price ...

    Please help me understand. Thanks

Cap Cost Residual Deprec Finance Payment

the $374.06 figure is the correct figure for 39/month pre-tax. it is accurate to the penny.

your deal is fairly good, and comparable to one that I got last December (g37x+P+N, 41380MSRP).
