NV navigation systme without Mark levinson audio systme. Thanks
Paid 40,750 plus tax...
Oh yeah, I am in Albany NY
1. Keys - How many do you get when you purchase? The unit I drove had that push button start and I imiagine the keys are pretty expenive to replace
2. NAV system - How are the maps updated? Do you have to go back and purchase disks to update the system and if so, how much do they cost?
3. Tites/Brakes - I have seen other posts about how they need to replaced more often. Is this really true and if so, what are the costs to do this?
4. Fuel - Would it be okay to use "plain" unleaded instead of premium. Will performance suffer THAT much?
As I said, I am also looking at the Camry Hybrid, which is more boring, will definitely cost me less in the end (higher cost to buy and maintain). Thanks for the advice
You get two keys. I'm sure they are expensive to replace, just as the previous Lexus keys with the remote built in.
My window sticker warns about short tire life, but it depends on how hard you drive the car.
Most cars that specify premium fuel will run on regular, but I would only do it in an emergency.
Judging from the huge amount of brake dust on the front wheels, I'd expect above average pad wear.
A question on a proposed lease for an 2007 IS350 which is a demo, 4900 miles; 12k per year lease, 59% residual (which seems low to me for a lexus), MSRP $48,000, Cap cost $41,894, sales tax 7%, money factor .00225. The monthly lease price quoted was $574. Not sure if this is a good deal especially since it is a demo....wouldn't a demo impact the residual value at lease end?

Summer Tires
* High Intensity Headlamps
* Adaptive Front Lighting System

But, if you take advantage of our special internet rates*, this vehicle can be yours for ONLY

I think the price is pretty good for socal, just wondering if this config was possible since edmunds says HID can only be had with LT or LL, not the PT as the price seems to suggest. The only way to get the MSRP to match was to get PT and HID separately.

1st quote: IS250 with navigation, OTD, $35691.23
2nd quote: IS 250 with navigation and spoiler, OTD, $36, 187.80
It's been sometime that I've been looking for a good deal (should I wait for the Dec to remember sale?). I'd like to bypass all the haggling BS and just purchase the car already. Please let me know if these prices are good... thanks!
Model : 2007 Lexus IS 250 Base Automatic, 4 DR sedan RWD
The base Invoice for this car listed @ Edmunds for my zip code (85202) is $27,653 and MSRP $31,425.
I have always purchased brand new cars and never paid MSRP, always invoice
1) 2006 Mazda - $300 above invoice
2) 2006 Honda Accord - $500 above invoice
3) 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse - $0 above invoice
Here is what I need some information on:
1) Is it possible to purchase 2007 Lexus IS 250 at/above/below invoice, and if yes, how much should be the margin?
2) Title and Registration is 2% to 3% of the selling price, is that correct?
3) Destination charge is $715 for this car?
any other details/suggestions are welcome.
great news, i got the quote, $35,500 OTD quote for the IS250 2007 with nav and spoiler. Going to seal the deal today. Please confirm one last tie that this is a good deal! otherwise, the agony continues!
By the way I am in Raleigh, NC, don't have but one dealer in the area, so no competition.
18" wheel luxury pakage- LT

preferred pack-Z1
MSRP $44,822 (44,921 with the mat)

Deal or no deal?
DEAL!!!!
the 350 is harder to come by.
try stevinson lexus, their new dealership "stevinson of frederick"
this dealer opened in july and they are particularly hungry for business, and should offer a good deal.
Has anyone seen a 17" wheel auto IS250 ever? Is the premium pakcage "basic" option that every IS has and charges, like the premium package every ES350 has?
I dont think that I can afford a 07 manual, but have found a 06 6-spd that has about 15k miles on it. I am thinking about leasing it.
Its still pretty much new. What could I expect to pay on this IS, or I guess Im asking how low do you think I could take the internet manager down?
Any residual %'s out there on a used IS?
Any other advice or facts are welcomed as well. Thanks
Where did you get this quote? Is this for a 2007 IS250 or 2006?
thanks!
WV wood interior trim, Z1 Pkg Cargo-mat-wheel locks, Tungsten pearl, MSRP $39,072.00, so far the best price I have received is $35,057.00 plus tax, reg and dealer fees of $399.00...Is this a good price? They say it is $400.00 over invoice, but I did a search and it seems that invoice is $34,228.00
If invoice is $34,228.00 and they add $400.00, it adds up to $34628.00...The dealers reply was the additional money on their invoice is because they have to add an advertising fee, and would not budge. Went to 3 dealerships, and after price haggling with them, heard the same speech....That is the bottom line....so, I hope that $35,057.00 is still a good price, this AWD car is in great demand in the northeast, and the dealers can not keep them on their lots....please let me know about the price before I sign the papers!!!
Thanks!!!

I'm interested in an IS 250, RWD with the NAVI ... everything else is pretty much a bonus (luxury package, premium package, sport package, etc). Does anyone have a good experience at one of the local Lexus dealers? Did anyone get at or near invoice?
Thank you in advance,
Alex
Going to go pick up the IS250 this Saturday... the deal I got is $32,854 (w/ $37,772 MSRP). The guy told me out the door including tax and license, etc would be about $35,900. This is the RWD model that includes the premium package w/ navigation... since I have a few days, any input on whether this is a good deal?? Don't know what the invoice price is (cars.com and edmunds don't seem to have the same packages that lexus has on their website) It seems good but I'm nervous since this is my first real carbuying experience... any input would be great, thanks!!
same at sister dealership.
so how long will the wait be? wil i really get the car i want, or will i have to "settle" for what they can find or get in?
i din't order anything outrageous. in fact it's on the lexus website. 350, nav, ml, lux with 18 inch, preferred pack.
Invoice MSRP
Base $27,653 $31,425
Options $4,593 $5,632
Destination $715 $715
Total $32,961 $37,772
So you're basically getting $107 OFF their invoice! I don't think they have manufacturer to dealer rebates now so this is a very good deal. Have fun with the car, you'll enjoy it (It's actually one of the top 10 models for their 5-yr residual values too, according to an article yesterday by wsj).
Base invoice for 07' IS 350 RWD is
$31,420 with options invoice $6,809 and $715 destination (MSRP $35,705 + $8,402 + $715 = $44,822 total MSRP)
that adds up to a $38,944 invoice.
Assuming you live in California, the sales tax is 7.75%, overestimating doc fees and DMV fees (you should not have paid dealer prep and hostage fees; those are bogus fees that dealers charge you to pocket extra money), and assuming you negotiated to $1,000 over invoice, your OTD should be around $43,384.66 ($39,944 * 1.0775 + $45 + $300 = $43,384.66). Sorry to say that but you could've gotten a better deal. (but your deal was not THAT bad... $2500 over invoice. At least you didn't pay MSRP :P )
where did you get that deal from
what color did you get.
i also get the almost the same deal as you have but a little cheaper..are u in so. cal also
the price was about 6% above invoice.
since there is no glut of 250 or 350 here, i went with the price that I wanted to pay. i don't believe all these people who claim they pay 100 bucks ove invoice. let em scan the contreact and show me. i've never ever known a car dealer to give away a car. thats why they are all millionaires.
none the less i'm satisfied. now all i need is the car.

Got it for $1200 over invoice. Had 2 dealers competing for my $. Sacramento Lexus won over Steven Creeks. Both great dealers to work with. We live in Sac, but didn't mind the drive to Steven Creeks to get.
