Can someone please tell me if this deal is decent? I have tried using a lease calculator and come out with a lower monthly payment than what I was quoted below.

    QX60 AWD with Premium/Premium Plus/ Theater/Driver Safety Packages and a few other add-ons.

    39 mo / 12K

    MSRP: 54,045.00
    Selling Price: 49,882.20
    Money Factor: .00088
    Residual: 59%

    Monthly Payment: 598.31 (incl. tax)
Total Due at Signing (including 1st month and taxes/fees): 916.50

    Thanks!

With those numbers, I get $571/mo, plus tax...

Thanks, Kyfdx . I forgot to include acquisition fee. Therefore, Cap Cost is 50582.20, which gets me pretty close to the $598 number. Is this a reasonable deal?

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,702

Looks reasonable to me. Have you thought about using the MSD program to lower your payment?

    Hello KYFDX,

Need help in evaluating this lease deal:

2014 QX60 3.5 AWD w/Premium and Premium Plus Pkg., Roof rails and cross bars, splash guards, rear bumper protector, cargo pkg w/o deluxe touring pkg

    MSRP w/destination charge: $49,895
    Dealer Invoice: $46,727

    Sale Price: $46,669

Added to sales price are following items:

2 lease pymts on current Infiniti lease $1,164
    Doc fee $200
    Acq fee $700
    Sales Tax: $2,924

Bringing Total Cap Cost to: $51,657

Residual Value $29,438 (59% of MSRP)

Money factor: .00098 (Dealer says this is the best Tier 1 rate on this vehicle)

    Zero money down

No trade in value given on FX 35 due to high residual value

    Lease Terms: 36 mo./12,000 miles

    Lease Payment $650

Do you think this is a good deal?
Dealer claims there is no lease loyalty cash, holdback or cash incentive available on this model. Dealer says holdbacks stopped on this model post January 1. Is this true?
Dealer quotes a lower MF of .00078 on a Q50 (same lease terms) - is the money factor on the QX60 the best I can get?
Is it proper to add Infiniti lease pull through payments of $1,164 to Cap Cost?

I want to get the deal done soon but I just need some clarification on the terms. - Thanks for your help!

Are you sure this isn't a 39 month lease? Because, that would match the residual, and the lease payment calculates correctly using 39 months. On a 39 month lease, I show the money factor as .00088, not .00098, though...

Why the hurry in leasing before your other lease is up? I'd hate to eat $1200.. I don't have an answer for your holdback question. The only way to know if you can get a lower price is to shop another dealer.

    Hi kyfdx
What are the MF and RV on AWD Hybrid for March?
Is the following a good deal in Indiana? (this was from Feburary and did not negotiate again this month):
QX60 AWD with Hybrid Premium plus and Theater package (Floor Mats, Literature Kit, Rear Bumper Protector, Roof Rail Cross Bars, Roof Rails, Splash Guards)
    MSRP $54,885
Negotiated price is $51555 (stating it is $300 above invoice)
    $0 down.
    36 months/12k
Payment due at signing 724 including first month payment.
    Monthly payment $629 excluding tax.
What is the trend now? Should I get the price below invoice?

    .00087 MF and 56% residual for 39mo, 12K/yr. 57% for 10K/yr.

    AWD

    .00107 MF and 59% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. 60% for 10K/yr.

Using the MF and residual in the above post, I get $622/mo. using your MSRP and CAP cost... That's pretty close.

I'm not up on what they are selling for. If this is a deal you are considering, I would suggest using the MSD program to lower the money factor...

Hi, I am considering a QX60 with Premuim , Premuim+ and drvers assist. I would like a 39 month lease, with 15K miles per year. I am in Dallas, TX area. Can you please let me know what the MK and residual is. Also any tax credits, or incentives?

  • batboy1batboy1 Member Posts: 30

Just received this offer, and I have a few questions.

QX60 AWD (non-Hybrid) Premium, Premium Plus and Theater Package.
    MSRP $51,995
    Invoice $48,924
    Acquisition fee $700
    Adjusted purchase price $49,529

    39 mo. lease/12k miles -- 59% residual, .00088 MF

$603/mo. (including tax), $916 due at signing

Anyone see where I can pick up some money on this deal? Can you advise as to how MSDs would work here? I understand that each MSD would reduce MF by .0001, but does that mean that I can't do the full 9 MSDs because that would reduce me below .0001. In short, how would MSDs work here and what would they do for me?

Tax credits are a Texas thing.. you'd have to check with your dealer. Incentives can be found by using the Car Research tab at the top of the page.

Here is the deal I reached with the dealer today, going to sign on Tuesday. Want some feedback.

QX60 AWD Hybrid. with hybrid premium package, theater package, splash guards, roof rails, cross bars, rear bumper protection, illuminated kick plate including destination:
(for some reason the base MSRP is less than what I can see on other websites by $550)
    MSRP $55,125
    Invoice: $50,819
    Negotiated price: $50,437
Additional fees: Acquisition fee $700, Title fee $150, Doc fee (and others) $40 = $890.
    MF: 0.00107
    RV: 59%
    Lease term: 36 months/ 12k with
    Down payment: $0
    Trade-in: $0
    Monthly payment (excl. tax): $612
Due at signing: $612+tax (only the first monthly payment).

I have the option to do 9 MSD which would be $5400 and will bring my MF down to 0.00017 and my monthly payment down to $537 (excl tax) and would save me a total of $2880 throughout the lease and will get the $5400 back at that time. I will definitely do this option.

    ANY NOTES OR SUGGESTIONS?
IS THERE AN EXPLANATION AS WHY THE DEALR'S MSRP IS $550 LOWER THAN WHAT I SEE ON THE WEBSITES (infinitusa and truecar.com)

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,702

It could be a unit that was produced before a mid-year price increase. That's just a guess, but it happens a lot.

Also, you should jump on the MSD deal. Saving $2880 (plus the sales tax on that amount) over 36 months, just for loaning them $5400? That's a 17.7% annual after-tax return on your $5400.

Okay, today the dealer calls me back and said he located the car with the colors I want in a neighbor state but it has 450 miles on it, I did not feel comfortable and he tried to reassure me and tell me that this is driven as a dealer trade, for me this is too much of a drive, am I wrong?
I am worried that this car was driven for other purposes (test-drive, model), is my concern valid?
The other option is to look for a different car with the same sepcs and colors but he said that if it is invoiced after Jan, 1st, 2014 it would be $700-$800 more as infiniti increased their invoice at that time, can we know if that is a true statement?

I wouldn't worry about 450 miles, especially on a lease. Most makes have mid model-year price increases. So, that might be true.

48 months is not the 'sweet spot' for a lease of a premium make & model. Depending on the manufacturer, the sweet spot is 24, 27, 36 or 39 months. Anything longer than that and it goes downhill, fast.

Why are you considering a 48 month lease?

Residual of 59% is correct, but we've got the money factor this month as .00086. It's possible the dealer is marking that up.

How much of the $3K down is going to fees, and how much to cap cost reduction?

Plugging in your numbers I get a pre-tax payment of about $638; 9% sales tax increases the payment to $695.

We would need to see more information before commenting on whether this is a good deal or not.

I have just leased a QX60 hybrid and I am almost certain now that the least you can get on any qx60 is a few hundred $ below invoice (the dealer would not share the invoice with you typically and you can find it easily on Truecar.com after adding the options you want).

Make sure you do the MSD instead of the down payment, there is not point of doing a down payment as it would be just deducted from your monthly payments. You can put the down payment money in MSD and you will save a lot of money ( I saved $2880 on my 36 months lease),

just finalized a qx60 deal over email. fwd+p1+p2+driver asst+theater MSRP 51855, cap cost 47988 for 12k/36 month lease original payment 593/month inc 8% tax no down drive off $1882 (including 1st month, doc fees, acq fee license fee, gov fees), after 8xMSD (4800) brings the monthly down to 525/month. Not sure if it's a good deal but the dealer was pretty straight forward. Going to sign this weekend, but not sure if this is a really good deal or not.

$525/mo against an MSRP of almost $52K is a pretty decent deal. The MSDs certainly help with the payment - $68 x 36 = $2448 saved for your $4800 MSD.

    Enjoy!

How much of the $3k down is going to cap cost reduction? Have they quoted you a money factor? Hard to evaluate whether this is a good deal without this information.

Thank you for the feedback. I shopped around and my original deal came back and gave me the bank MF .00088, RV of 59%, 12K miles, Premium, Premium Plus, Drivers Assistance, Theatre package Black/Graphite QX60 MSRP $52,975 Sale price was $49, 9XX, $3K down goes all towards taxes, fees, first month payment, $559/mo. I think this sounds much better than the $699 for less of a model!!

If the $3k is for fees and taxes, then I would say it's a good deal. I'm getting a pre-tax payment of over $600/mo using the MSRP and cap cost numbers you've provided.

Just leased new QX60 FWD Base. MSRP 43,195. $450/month including TTL. Only paid $450 (first month payment) at signing. 10k/miles per year.

Not that it matters now, but was this a good deal?

Not a bad deal by any means. Enjoy your new Infiniti!

    Hi kyfdx,

Do you have the MF and residual value for QX60 FWD non-hybrid, 15K mi/yr for 36 & 39 months? Thanks in advance!
