I've not seen these types of taxes on a lease in Florida. There are a couple of states where the entire purchase price is taxed, but Florida is not one of them.

You might want to contact a second dealer and see what kind of offer they make you.

    36 months / 15k

    2014 Audi Q5 3.0 Premium Plus. Phantom Black Pearl Effect + $500 MMI Navigation + $3500 Sport Interior + $500 Bang Olufsen + $850 Side Assist + $500

    Sticker price of $52,370

Sales price of $49,500 (this would be around a 5% discount $2,870)

Add Audi Care at $860 (roll into payment?) Audi Acquisition fee of $695 (pay out of pocket) I would figure a Dealer fee of around $400 (roll into payment?)

I'm leasing it for my business so no cap cost reduction.
I'll pay the acquisition fee and the minimum out of pocket up front..? Tag, Title, First payment, etc... (what would this include?) around $1800 total?

    Lease payment of $750 ish?

Using your numbers with MF of .00128 and residual of 57%, I get a pre-tax payment of $647.38 for 36 months.

If I add the $1260 of fees into the cap cost, the pre-tax payment rises to $683.99.

I believ you ran it with 12K (57%)? Is that right?

    Actually, I was looking at 15K (55%)

    Thanks!

Hi -- I'd really appreciate the latest MF and RV for a Q5 3.0 TDI Prem Plus with navigation package, located in California, for both a 36 and 48 month lease, 12K miles per yr. How does RV change if 10K per yr? Thank you!

    .00124 MF and 57% for 36mo, 12K/yr.

    .00144 MF and 53% for 42mo, 12K/yr. Audi doesn't support 48 month leases

    10K/yr adds 1% to residuals

.00146 MF and 53%/51% residual. The 36 month program is .00126 MF and 55% residual.

The base acq.fee is $695... If they are marking it up, you can negotiate it down to the base..

Can you tell me the MF and residual for a Q5 premium at 39 and 42 months with 12k miles a year? Does dropping to 10k miles a year have a big effect? I wanted to see the difference between that and the premium plus that was quoted just above. Thanks for the help.

    Q5 2.0T Premium - .00146 MF and 53% / 51% for 39/42 months.

What is the best sales price for a Q5 with MMI Nav this month?
How does below sound for terms?
    Term (39 mon)
    APR - 3.504%
    Residual % - 51%
    Money Factor - (0.00146)

2.0T model, right? Those are the base rates for 39mo, 15K/yr.

I'd be inclined to do the 36mo, 15K/yr lease at .00126 and 53% residual. Just $5-$10 more per month to stick with the 36 month term.

Could you please help me evaluate the following offer? Q5 2.0 T Premium plus MSRP 46625, discount 2000, lease term is 36 month/12k per year, residual 55%, MF 0.00126. Deal has a down payment 2000 and monthly payment 614+tax. I am living at Bay area. Which number should I work on to lower the payment if possible? The model charges several hundreds for cargo net, protection kit, which might be removed. Thank you a lot.

The money factor is the base number and the residual is correct, so that's a good start.

When you state the $2000 downpayment.. is that the total amount due at signing? Or, do you have fees and other charges on top of that?

If I assume a CAP cost of $42625 (MSRP minus selling price minus downpayment), then I get a payment of $558/mo.+ tax. If $2000 is the total due at signing, then we have to add back in $695 acq.fee, $500 title/license, $80 doc fee and $614/mo. 1st payment.. That puts it a $613/mo., which is close enough!

Where to save money? I'd say you have another $700-$1000 to push the selling price down. (savings $25-$30/mo.) You can add AudiCare maintenance plan for $860 and that will raise the residual by 1%. That will actually add $10/mo. to the payment, but that's cheap for three years of scheduled maintenance. The Q5, like most Audis, is not the cheapest lease out there.. But, it doesn't look like your dealer is trying to hit a home run.

Thanks for all your posts kyfdx. Could you please evaluate this offer? 2014 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus with MSRP 47,480. Negotiated price is 44,800. Lease term is 42 months/18k per year. I think the residual is 44%. I can't remember the MF (and did not write it down for some reason) but was told it was the best they could offer. Deal has a 2500 down payment toward cap cost and monthly payment of 665.84 including 8% sales tax per month. Did not include Audi Care but thinking of adding it. Thoughts?

It looks about right, but not too sure about your residual number. I'd think it would be closer to 47% (but, not sure exactly how they account for 18K/yr). You are close to 6% off MSRP, which is decent for an Audi. Money factor would be .00146, and that doesn't appear to be marked up..

Adding AudiCare is $820, but raises the residual by 1%. That a net add of about $10-$12/mo. but that's cheap for Audi scheduled maintenance.

Thanks for all of your posts! Can you evaluate this offer? We're still in negotiations:
    Southern California
    $48,445 MSRP Q5 2014 2.0T Premium Plus
    $45,085 selling price
(don't see any acquisition fee included in the quote - would that be added in?)
    0 Down/39 mo/12K year = $747.50
    MF: .00163/52% residual
MF seems high and trying to get comfortable with where we can push on this deal. Appreciate the feedback!

.00143 MF and 52% residual. 36 months would be .00123 and 54% residual.

Using the numbers you were quoted, I get $625.mo. You state "0 Down", but what is your due at signing amount? You'll have to account for an acquisition fee, 1st payment, title/registration, doc fee and taxes.. The money factor markup adds about $15/mo.

Thanks, Kyfdx. Really appreciate your feedback. As for 0 down - meant no down payment. Due at signing would account for all the factors you mentioned - although we weren't aware of an acquistion fee until reading this forum. So another thanks. On taxes - does the tax apply to the principle or monthly payment with interest? Also, any dealers you recommend in SoCal? Great to have your resourceful brain!

    Michaell,

Per my contact at the dealership it is $3000 toward cap cost reduction with rest toward title, dealer fees, registration, and 1st payment. Though they haven't mentioned acquisition fees (unless this is the dealer fee they mention) but the $3964.21 is supposed to be the out the door cost. I should also mention the Audi Care maintenance program is included in this deal.

We recommend not putting any money down on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money.

Audi Care adds 1% to the residual, and seems to be money well spent.
