Just bought a silver 2015 MDX AWD with tech package in SF bay area. OTD was $50192. Tax was around $4000. I tried several dealers but this was as low as I could get.
Hi,
Looking for current pricing in SF Bay Area for AWD with Tech package.
Can you break up your purchase prices, were any accessories included in the $46K ?
How much below invoice to expect this time of the year ?
Appreciate all responses.
Happy Holidays !
MDX AWD with tech package Price: 45664 Docs: 80 Tax: 4002 (8.75%) Other fees: 416.75 I think that's about it. I didn't add any accessories. This was the first and best offer I got. I tried to negotiate a lower price with other dealers but they pretty much told me to go to other places.
2015 MDX FWD with Tech package (Tint+Wheel locks+All-Season Floor Mats) in DFW area. Drive out price of $46,200. What you guys think of this price?
OTD prices are hard to judge since every state has different taxes and TTL fees. Better to list MSRP and price paid relative to that prior to any adders.

Can you also share the dealer from where you got this deal ? Thanks
on Dec 27th, I received my first quote for 2015 MDX FWD with technology package for $44,000 + TTL. We didn't talk about accessories yet. This is in Houston, TX and our sales tax rate is 6.25% so it will be around $47,250.00 OTD. I am in the process of contacting other local dealers who are a bit far away than the first one. What do you guys think of this deal?
I am looking for Out-of-the-door price tag for Acura MDX SH-AWD with Technology Package in Portland metroplex area Oregon. Please also share the dealer and salesperson name with whom you have worked.
A little help on an SH-AWD with tech, in southern Missouri. I would be willing to go to Springfield, MO, Kansas City, St. Louis, Tulsa, or Fayetteville, AR. The best I've gotten is $46,600, Thanks.
I just received a call from my salesman and he says that Acura has started a "rollback program" - he wants me to trade in my 2012 MDX Tech (my lease ends May 2015) and they'll give me a new 2015 MDX Tech FWD for $522/month (tax, tags, doc fee and 1st month payment due at signing). This is in South Carolina and a 36 month lease with 10K miles/year. - Is this a good deal? - Thanks.
That may be a good deal but "rollback" or "pull ahead" programs aren't anything new. They are another technique to get you to the showroom sooner than you'd go otherwise.
There's nothing wrong with these techniques - just understand that they are sales methods and that you still have to run the numbers to see if they make sense. But by all means check it out.
Dealers like these programs because they get to sell a new car a year or so early and they wind up with a good used car for the lot, and likely one that can be certified for even more profit.
Thanks for the feedback on the "rollback" program. What do you think about the deal they presented - 2015 MDX FWD Tech, 36 months, 10K miles/year at $522/month with $0 down?
@cpsc, lease deals depend on the selling price of the car and "confirmation" that the dealer isn't marking up the MF (I don't think the residual can change). You have the additional wrinkle of the old lease that the dealer is going to "eat". One of our leasing experts will have to respond since I'm not up on the ins and outs of lease deals.

Heading out tomorrow to lease a 2015 MDX AWD + Tech 36 mo/ 10k... last day of year and all, fingers crossed to walk in and out with a deal in the same day
Sale price that I am targeting is $44,250 MF 0.00120 Residual 62%
As an existing 2010 RL owner, (which I am not trading in, this will be my second vehicle), can I expect an additional Loyalty Rebate as Cap reduction?

I confirm the 62% residual for 36/10. What state are you in? There are two sets of MF, .00120 or .00154.

I've got a sale price offer in hand of $43,980.. So I asked him to bring the lease price plus the $625 profit to $44000. He said no, I walked out. Was I over reaching?
I think 44250 is a bit of a stretch for the AWD Tech. I would say $45000 is more realistic. best of luck--let us know how it goes!

I've got a sale price offer in hand from for a AWD+tech of $23,980... That's what I based my target on
Typo - guess you mean $43,980. And that's under your target of $44,250. Sounds like you are doing great.
We aren't showing RES as a separate option so can't help you there.
Oops yes! $43,980
What I'm unsure about is that was the sale price. What would the fees be above that. To be able to compare apples to apples with the term sheet itemization I posted above. Which number would that corelate to?

$595 acquisition fee is unavoidable. Local DMV fees, too.
Ask them for the net cap cost and have them explain how they got to that number.

Wow that's a killer deal. If you don't mind sharing, where are you getting these prices for the AWD Tech?
my bad - after further discussion, that turned out to be an incomplete offer which did not include the $920 dest fees ... so the offer I had was $44,901.
Ok so the day is coming to a close ... here's what I've been able to muster from 2 different dealierships
2015 AWD+Tech Monthly: $529 Cap Cost/Lease Price: $45,957 Total Due on Delivery:$1640 which includes
First Month: $529 + $48 tax
Acq Fees: $595
Doc Fees: $298

2015 AWD Cap Cost/Lease Price: $42,326 Monthly: $466 Total Due on Delivery: $1568 which includes

Decided not to rush and make a deal today ... but will likely pull the trigger on Friday the 2nd. One of the dealerships I worked with told me if we write it up on 1/2, he could back date the lease to 12/31 for business deduction purposes (although I'm not sure I fully understand the benefit of getting this dated in 2014). Is this a "great" deal or should I try to find better/shop around further?
The $2,268 difference between the two is making me seriously consider the 2015 AWD Base.
looking at the lease price of the AWDTech vs AWD is closer to $3600 diff. You can probably get the price (incl destination) of the AWD Tech closer to $45000 and the AWD closer to $41500.
the AWD base seems to be low in terms of inventory. looks like much more availability of the AWD Tech. I guess you need to ask yourself what of the tech options you would want and if it's worth the extra cost.

Does anyone know of any dealers in the southeast that will give a good deal on a MDX SH-AWD with Advance/Ent package? I am looking to purchase a white/eucalyptus combo which is hard to find at this time. It is my understanding that several are due to ship in January. I am located in the Tampa market and my local dealer will only deal from sticker. His best deal is $2,500 off sticker which is a joke. I see others getting deals for $1,000+ below invoice for the same model. I am open to waiting until more stock is available in that combo. I hoping to find a dealer I can work with in advance to get a good deal. Any dealer recommendations in the southeast?
pulled the trigger today. was considering FWD base, AWD base, FWD tech, AWD tech. would have been willing to get the Tech only if some additional signifcant discount was offered. was even considering a 2014 AWD Tech, but it had more miles on it than I would have liked and the dealership wasn't willing to budge on price.
ended up getting the AWD base, which are not easy to find, which I found odd because 2 years ago, AWD was the only option. dealer said that it already came with the door edge film, wheel locks, and nitrogen-filled tires, but I wasn't willing to pay extra for those things. I asked dealer about other accessories, but they were extremely expensive so I will be buying them separately myself and doing the relatively simple installs.
2015 AWD base, $41,210 (including destination). not including the other fees (tax, documentation, etc) since that varies depending on location.
for the 2015 AWD Tech, the lowest price I was quoted was $44,790 (including destination), which is actually a great price, but still not enough for me to make the leap for the tech package.
for the 2014 AWD Tech, the price I was quoted was $43,990 (including destination), which is a great price, but considering that it is a 2014 model, the miles on the vehicle, and the prices I was quoted for a 2015 model, it wasn't discounted enough for my taste.
hope this helps for those in the hunt for a good deal. to find the invoice pricing look at the Costco Auto Program online (be sure the number you are looking at includes the destination to get an accurate comparison).
I felt like I got a year-end-deal, but not at all a year-end-steal.
oh, one more thing to add. once we were dealing with the finance department, they tried to sell the extended warranty for an extra $3000. I wasn't interested and kept saying no thanks. when they asked what it would take, I said I would do it for $1000. They dropped it down to $2000 asking if I would do the deal, but I told them again $1000. They then dropped it down to $1500, also telling me they are basically selling it to me at cost (which they said was just below $1500. I said $1000. After more talking he said ok, they would be willing to take a loss and do $1300. I said no go since it's not $1000. I doubt that their cost for the warranty was close to $1500 and even if I had agreed to $1300 I suspect they would still be making some $$.
just some information for those who may actually be interested in the extended warranty package...negotiate negotiate negotiate.

Lease Price: $41,000 (incl. freight) Monthly Payment: $459 Due on Delivery: $1557 (incl. first month + PA tax, acquisition, tags, doc) This includes Cargo Tray, Wheel Locks, All Season Mats
Two questions 1. Under normal circumstances, I'd be all over this, but upon further questioning, I'm realizing that they have bumped up the residual to 63% ... should I push to try to get that down to 62%? 2. The sum of the parts of Due on Delivery are about $175 below the Total of $1557 ... but I'm not getting a clear answer on what that is. Any thoughts?

Dealer is not allowed to modify the residual. Double check the miles per year the dealer is writing this up for .. might be different than what you think.
Local DMV fees? Dealer should be very clear on what makes up the $1557.
