    Yeah..the problem is when I go to another dealer the try to get me deal with padded MF too. They all keep saying that this is their buy out rate and they cant give it at that rate since they will loose and wont make a profit..I guess everyone is doing it and is very hard to get base MF with any car brand!

    "Msrp  of $62745

     With $2500 Total down your payment for 36 Month lease and 12000 Miles per year is $$928 Tax included "


    is this this way to high for a 2015 ? What should I ask for ? 

    Any guidance would be appreciated

    36/12 lease numbers for the 2015 SQ5 Premium Plus are 55% and .00189. When I plug in your MSRP and selling prices, I get a payment of $810.50/mo plus tax. The relatively low residual and high MF are hurting you on this deal, though I suspect the MF may be inflated a bit by the dealer.

    What state and tax rate is this? Tax obligations for leases vary based on where you live.

    I see from previous posts that even some of the 2016's have a lower lease rate.

    CA taxes the monthly payment, so 9.25% tax takes the payment to $885.47/mo.

    My guess is that the MF is marked up on you.

    Looking to purchase the following:

    2016 SQ5 Premium Plus Sepang w/Magma Sport interior, black optics, multimedia package, carbon inlay

    36 months / 10k miles
    60% residual (assumed from previous posts)
    .00138 money factor - aka 3.312% (assumed from previous posts)
    6.25% local Massachusetts sales tax

    I have the Friend and Family certificate, which states the price of "Invoice + $300" then subtract any incentives.

    $60,675 MSRP on Audi configurator online
    $57,344 Invoice + $300 (assuming invoice is 6% off MSRP)
    $56,344 Cap Cost (Invoice+$300 minus $1000 loyalty discount)
    $36405 Residual (60% of 60,675)
    $19929 Depreciation payment ($56344 cap - $36405 residual)

    $553/monthly depreciation payment ($19929 divided by 36months)

    $127/month interest ((56344+36405)x.00138)

    $680/month payment (depreciation payment + interest)

    $722/month all-in with 6.25% tax



    How do my calculations look? I think I've done everything right here.
    Is this something to bring to the dealer and say I want these numbers, or are they making $0 on this deal?

    I confirm the .00138 MF and 60% residual for 36/10.

    I get $724/mo using your numbers, which I can attribute to rounding issues.

    I would present the prices to the dealer and see what they say. I wouldn't worry about whether they are making money or not - either they'll accept your numbers or they won't.

    Audi is coming back to me with a 4.75% MF (.00197916) based on the numbers sheet that they sent over for the vehicle they are pricing out.

    I have not approached them about this yet, but is the .00138 MF an exact number that all dealerships are using this week/month for the 2016 SQ5 36month/10k?

    Can I save assume that anything over .00138 is a "dealer markup" ?

    .00138 is the base rate for top tier credit. Anything over that is a markup.

    If they are quoting APRs, then either it's not a lease, or they are trying to hide their money factor. Audi doesn't use APRs on a lease.

    As noted by my co-host, the MF is marked up from the base of .00138; the marked up MF is adding about $60/mo to your payment.

    Might be time to reach out to other Audi dealers ... only takes one to meet your terms.

    Have you reached out to another Audi dealer? Getting them to compete amongst themselves will get you the best deal.

    I wouldn't sign any deal with an inflated MF .. but, that's just me.
