2016 Mercedes GLC Class Lease Questions
Comments
thanks for the info! Actually i am trading a car valued at 12.5k and have a pay off of 6k.
Ah, OK.
We don't recommend using trade equity to buy down the payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Instead, have the dealer cut you a check for the equity, and use that money to help with the now higher payment.

I built a fully loaded GLC rwd with an MSRP of $53,805 that can be delivered in May. Dealer wont budge from their initial offer of $1600 contribution.
Tells me that the money factor and residuals change every month and that for March they are RV 58% and MF .00266 for a 24 month 15k/yr lease term. This seems like a really low RV and a really high MF. Also says that I have to order the car and pay $1000 down to get the factory to build it and then once it gets here I will know the terms under which I will pay for the car I've already committed to buy!
Payment with the dealer contribution, my $1000 down and additional $2000 at delivery is $987 (includes Arkansas monthly sales tax). This just sounds insane. Are the RV and MF they are offering correct? What should I tell them?
That said, $1K for a $54K SUV is a crazy high payment. You might want to cross shop some of the competition to see if there is anything else out there you like, or try a couple of other MB dealers to see if you can get a better MF and/or more discount from sticker.

I even think the base money factor is too high. Taking into consideration no significant discounts and the money factor, one may be paying a high monthly number for this vehicle. That being said, one should check with different dealers as sometimes there is a vehicle they want to move and a good deal can occur.

I am hoping the deal gets better during the winter event. That being said I have seen MB recent winter events where there was limited winter cash and only certain vehicle in the program. I also need to see the money factor improved as the residuals are not as great as they used to be.

650/ month for 12K/year. Total selling price: 46000 (forgot the exact amount).
0 down payment. Taxes included as I am in NJ.
Is it a good price?
Would need to know the MSRP; is the $46K number the selling price or the adjusted cap cost after fees and taxes have been added in?

I get $576/mo with those prices. MF could be be marked up or the cap cost is higher than what you think.

It was a great learning curve seeing all the posts by you. I am in market to lease new GLC, premium one with Blind spot, panaromic sunroof, lightening package. MSRP was 49, dealership offered me 45415 with acq fee of 795 ( that seemed high to me), cash cap reduction ( I don't know what is that) of 3792, LEV of 58%, 180000 miles 36months. I am also giving 5000 down. They offered me 603$, which seemed high to me. Also MF of 0.00196%. Sale tax in my county is 7.5%.
Can you help me please
Acquisition fee is $795; surprised the dealer didn't mark that up on you as well - it's common.
Cash cap reduction is the same as a down payment, and it is not something we recommend for a lease. If the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Using the MSRP and selling prices you've provided, I get $595/mo before tax. This is with $0 down.
Now, the 18,000 miles a year you want means the residual amount will be adjusted by .15-.25 per mile

$44,750 MSRP
selling price $40000
Price after TT&L: 41022
down payment $2500; 36mo/12k lease for $532
$44,750 MSRP
selling price $41000
Price after TT&L: 42044
3 prepaid maintenance service included
down payment $2500; 36mo/12k lease for $563
what would be the best number?
Also I have a question about Residual Value. Does it apply to MSRP or selling price?
.00166 MF and 60% residual.
Need to ask for the adjusted CAP cost.
$1000 upfront for three services... Need to find out what those services entail, and how much they cost, to know if it's worth paying upfront.

Is there any way to reduce money factor?
We've heard from other members that MSD can be used to lower the MF.
Check with your dealer.

Yesterday I got this offer from my dealer for 36 month lease with 12000 miles for GLC300 RWD:
the car sticker price was $447xx and they gave $47xx discount which makes car price to be $40000. the cap cost comes to be $40795 and taxes and registration are about $2800 (I am in Texas and have to pay taxes for the whole car price!!)
I agreed to put $2500 down payment and they offered me $530 per month everything included.
Is it a decent deal?
.00166 and 60% for 36/12. Using your MSRP and cap cost, I get $500/mo. There is about a $1000 difference ($30/mo x 36 months) - I would confirm the cap cost and the how the $2500 due at signing is being used.
