    Yup, that's a late 70s Toyota that they sold under the name Toyota Corolla Liftback/SR5.

    Looks like a '69 VW Bus (tan?) like the one I got to drive for a year. Can't make out the bumpers that could peg it earlier - could just be the solid color front that makes it look like a later edition. But it has those vents near the glass so ya, I think it's as '68/'69.

    I think you may be on to something bhill! I didn't look that closely and initially thought it was some kind of Exner Mopar, but when you zoom it up, it's pretty obscured, but seems to have those kind of funky 58 Studebaker product quad headlight pods and a bit different rear fender fin. Speaking of funky headlights, that made me notice the 58 Ford.

    Where's Uplander??? Speaking of him, I believe he is also a big fan of 58 Ford's and 61 Pontiac's, besides his beloved Studebakers B)

    The black car doesn't have the front bumper "dip" which the '58 Studebaker had. I'm going with a '58 Chrysler New Yorker.

    The VW has BLINT or FLINT painted on its front.

    The Ford wagon's side trim indicates the Fairlane model.

    Close but not quite. It is an aluminum bodied car, (body by Intermeccanica of Turin) and produced in Oakland California (and briefly later in Texas). You could get either the 3.5 (called the Apollo 3500 GT) or 4.9 Buick V-8 (5000GT).

    This is a highly regarded collector car nowadays, and concours examples can exceed $150,000.

    Lostwrench, you may be right. My first thought was that vintage Mopar. It is really hard to figure out because of the dark color and obstructions, and we'll probably never know for sure. I leaned more toward the Studebaker because puffing up the picture the rear fender fin seemed to maybe have that odd outward bend, but that very well may be distortion from the Pontiac glass I'm viewing it through. Also, the angle of the picture and the VW van maybe make it look smaller than a Chrysler, but that may just be a distortion too. I think it would be easier to tell if it was a light colored car. Who'd have thought that partially obstructed black car would be the fun challenge in the picture :p

    The '65 Pontiac behind the Ford wagon is most definitely a Tempest, it lacks the hood scoop for a Goat and I think it's a four-poster sedan. Tempest and LeMans models probably outnumbered GTOs by 20 or 30 to one.

    Yep, I can believe a '58 Chrysler. It's funny about the Tempest; I couldn't see rear door handles, but in looking at it again the roof line supports your conclusion. In passing, I always thought that putting a Tempest four-door body and interior on a GTO chassis (with drivetrain of course) would result in a great sleeper.

    It does have the chrome, but I believe the wagon line was Ranch Wagon, Country Sedan, and Country Squire with the "wood" side.

    Sorry I had to resize it so that you could see more. You got it, though tmart---'57 Ford--but what's special about this one, and that you can't tell from the photo, is that it's a retractable. I *think* maybe maybe that the pull knob under the dash is for the top, but not sure.

    Sadly, this particular car was a disaster and probably beyond hope.

    I'm doubling down on the '58 Chrysler New Yorker.
    The chrome "bullet" on the lower horizontal is in perfect position and with sunlight from the upper right, the diagonal section to the left of the bullet is also reflecting.

    Back in those days I think it was easier to pick a GM dashboard. Ford tended chintzy and Mopar was an early user of plastics. I think 50's and 60's dashboards (or some prefer the term instrument panel I suppose) are interesting.

    Judging by the banner, it is a "Diasio", a Mazda-based kit race car that kind of resembles an older Porsche.

    This might be tough but so few cars (if any) have this type of instrument panel. You are looking at the center console, with the gearshift knob in front.

    I've built quite a few kit cars out of Fiero's did think kit at first but so many manufacturers make wild looking cars now. Searching Diaslo does bring up a lot very similar, large round wide prominent wheel wells the 2 opening scoop, none yet with exactly same hood and lead up to scoop but does look to be a Diaslo.

    The Shift knob is the giveaway, it has a DeTomaso logo on it so, most likely a Pantera but it could be one of the rarer DTs

    Yes, a Pantera. I was going to crop out the gearshift but that would have been mean and petty....which I usually am :D .....but for some reason I wanted to see who noticed. I should have known better with all the sharp eyes around here.
