No idea ... though, I do have July lease numbers on the 2017 i3, so it's possible they are already showing up.

    Thanks for the information.

I ordered a 2017 i3 in June. It was built July 25 and expected at the dealership September. Don't think 2017 models will be on lots until late August or early September.

I'm hoping the incentives and residual improve in September. If the numbers don't work I'll get my deposit back and wait a year.

I do, but you aren't gonna like it. No $7500 lease credit yet on the 2017's. BMW is pushing the 2016 models at the moment.

That may change in September, however.

Sure. Please provide the current 36/12 rates.

I'll check back in Sept. Car is likely to come in early Sept.

Thanks for being a great resource to reality check the dealer network.

.00137 and 52%. These numbers expire 8/31, so there will be new numbers next month.

And, it's possible the $7500 lease credit will be available on the 2017's at that time.

The numbers quoted above are for the 2017 i3.

Oh - you mean available on the lot?

I imagine if the numbers are available, the inventory is not far behind.

Yes, I meant numbers on the lot. I've called several So Cal dealers and they're all sold out of 2016s, and no one has 2017s - said expect to have them early-October. They couldn't even provide pricing or leasing information.

Well, the numbers are available ... just need the stock to accompany it.

Usually, it's the other way around. Dealers get inventory, but there aren't any lease numbers to use.

Option allowance is like an incentive, and likely to be included in any offer from the dealer.

However, it doesn't hurt to be polite and verify that.

I know that this was answered for 36/12, but I'd like to know for all combinations MF and residual. I'm trying to calculate all scenarios. September 2016 lease rates (MF and residuals) for MY2017 i3 BEV... 24/10, 24/12, 24/15, 30/10, 30/12, 30/15, 36/10, 36/12, and 36/15. One post for all else looking for different combinations, too :)

Also do rates differ from region to region? For example, I'm in Southern California. Will rates be different compared to Northern California or East Coast?

    Thank you!

The program we have says it's National.
Could California have special programs? Possibly, but we won't have them.

    .00136 MF for all terms
    15K/yr residuals are 61%/58%/55% for 24/30/36 months
    Add 2% for 12K/yr or 3% for 10K/yr

What's your take on residual movement from month-to-month or season-to-season? Does it stay pretty static from now until near end of year, beginning of the new year, mid-year?

I wish there was some historical residual table so I can see if there is a pattern, so maybe holding out until mid-year is better instead of getting one now.

No rhyme or reason to residual movement. The bean counters and the marketing folks get together each month and determine the values that will move inventory. Often the numbers they come up with don't represent the true value of the car after 24 or 36 months.

Which credit credit scoring company does BMWFS use: Equifax, Transunion, or Experian?

What are the BMWFS tiers based off what score? I'm assuming the 0.00136 MF is based off of a "tier 1 (excellent)" credit score, but what qualifies for excellent... =< 730?

Also, what are the other tiers and how much more will the MF be effected?

Don't know which credit company BMW uses.

Anything above 675 is tier 1.

    640-674 add .00020
    601-639 add .00040

Oh wow! 675 is pretty lenient! I know I guessed starting at 730, but really thought it would be more like >= 750.

Hi! Would like to know the numbers for 2017 i3 BEV and any incentives. Don't know if it matters what state we're in, but I'm in Hawaii.

If he stated MF as .00176, did the dealer mark it up on their own? There's only 1 dealership on the island, so don't know how much negotiating power I have.

Don't know if this can be answered at this time, but how much are people negotiating sales price to?

Just an FYI to others, 2016's are sold out here, and dealer said 2017 i3 are expected on the lot during 1st or second week in October

Thanks for your time and help.

MF/residual for i3 Rex? Southern California

36/12 & 30/12? It seems lots of dealers are marking up the MF as these cars are just appearing on lots.

    Confirm $7500 rebate & $1000 option allowance?

My question is if the taxes are valid. I thought that beginning 1/2015, only the lease payments in Illinois were taxed, not the Net Cap Cost.

    Am I wrong there?

It is my understanding that the state taxes the sum of the lease payments and collects that amount up front; Cook County then taxes the payment monthly.

I think it works out to something like a 17% tax rate, total.
