The red one was the original mystery car and it has the vents. The blue one was posted later to show a '68.

Is it just me? I don't see vent windows on that car.

The red '67 convertible I posted clearly has the vents but the blue'68 coupe posted by Gbrozen does not.

The side markers are hard to spot because they were very cleverly integrated. The fronts are integrated into the wraparound turn signal under the bumper, the rears are disguised as Pontiac emblems on the rear fenders.

Vent windows on the red '67, yes. The blue one is a '68. I think.

The Blue has to be a '68. The side marker is incorporated into that wraparound turn signal housing. A '69 would have a different grille shape.>

The forward side marker light is that tiny little dot, rear one is just as small. I'm guessing the Feds required larger ones after 1969.

Apologies Shifty. looking for the side markers is almost always the best way to tell a '68 anything from a '67 as I stated but Firebirds might be an exception given that the markers are so tiny and so cleverly integrated it's easier just to look for the vent windows.

Now that Ithink of it you were right.

Sorry. Did not mean to confuse all you old codgers. I posted the blue '68 to show the difference in the marker lights that tipped me off to the red one being a '67.

Yep, that's a TC by Maserati. Almost all of them I see are red, or that color.

Donna Reed was still on the air in ancient reruns when I was a kid in the 80s. In those days where every show seemed to have an automotive sponsor, I think that one was Ford.

Yup that's the Chrysler TC by Maserati (1989-91) a misbegotten marriage of K-Car and one of Italy's most storied names. I almost fell over when I saw one in traffic yesterday. The area I spend winters in, Phoenix AZ metro, is a virtual museum of 80s and 90s cars most of them in good shape (no rust). I'm always seeing Celebritys, Achievas, Luminas and the like but haven't seen one a Chryslerati in this century

you should go browse at that huge classic car wrecking yard that they did the silly TV show about. Name escapes me, but I thought it was in Phoenix.

So let's open up the classic car price guides and see what those valuable babies are worth now, for you fools who didn't hold onto them:

(flip....flip).....OK, according to my CPI book (one of the more accurate ones IMO), I see the TC listed as:

    fair condition: $2325

    Good: $4500 (that's like a "clean driver")

Excellent: $10,125 (that would be a nearly pristine, but not quite "show" car).

So with an MSRP of $37,000 in 1991, that's a pretty good ROI I'd say :p

The one I saw was in clean driver shape. You see a lot of Intirgues/Aleros/Allantes and the like in decent driver shape. It's due to the dry climate and the low mileage on 'em (most of the drivers are in their 80s! I tell ya the place is like a museum.

Marcus Welby's house was the same house used as the Cleavers' house in the TV show Leave it to Beaver.

I believe Donna Reed was an Iowegian ;) My Little Margie ran heavy in daytime reruns during the 50's and very early 60's. Felix Cavaliere originally called the "Young" Rascals. Some good tunes and some sappy ones I suppose. He has actually written for a number of artists. They used to wear those kind of dopey hats when they performed.

The latter is correct with Gale Gordon as the principal. He was also in shows back in the old days like the New Lucy Show and Dennis The Menace. I think (but may be wrong) that Eve Arden was pretty talented and did movies and theatre as well as TV over the years.

I think that Dodge truck is from Lassie - I see a collie and I remember they had a Dodge.

I'm guessing the Dodge pickup is in the 58-60 range. IIRC Dodge came out with all new, sort of ugly to my eyes, trucks in 61.

I also remember there was an old neighbor guy who had a Model T roadster pickup, I think it was set up to run on railroad tracks. I really wanted that thing when I was a kid. I also remember Lassie's trainer was a "Weatherwax", as there was a Weatherwax family in the area where I lived.

That trip down TV memory lane lost me at the first turn - out of all that lot I think I got Lucy and Lassie - not much else... We seemed to have had loads American TV back in the 60s when I was a kid but only two channels to watch it on (BBC & ITV) until the launch of BBC2 in about 1965. We only got a fourth channel - Channel 4 (imaginatively enough) in the early 80s....

There wasn't enough airtime to watch it all I suppose.
