    I've never leased before so I'm naturally afraid of getting ripped off and would appreciate any help.

    I would like to lease a Giulia Ti Sport RWD for 36 months in Los Angeles. I have an excellent credit score and want to pay as little as possible up front.

    The MSRP on the car I'm considering is $51640 and there's a $1750 rebate. (Is that considered "Taxed" or "Untaxed" in the lease calculators?) I intend to drive less than 10,000 miles/year.

    Can someone provide the Money Factor and Residual Percentage? (Any other critical information would be appreciated, too, of course.)

    I just looked at a Ti Sport RWD with an MSRP of $53035 an hour before closing time on Labor Day. I want to lease for 24 months. The printout the dealer showed me (but didn't let me keep, of course) had these figures:

    $47035 sales price (88.7% of MSRP)
    0.000067 MF (which matched information I got here)
    $3750 in rebates ($1000 more than I got here or on Edmunds)
    58% residual
    10,000 miles/year
    $571 license/registration fee (I assume -- I got this from the California DMV website)
    9.5% sales tax

    The leasehackr calculator says $606/month with $1621 drive-off with these inputs.
    The dealer said $585/month with $1750 drive-off.



    I went in prepared for this:

    $45080 sales price (85% of MSRP)
    0.000067 MF
    $2750 in rebates
    61% residual (a quote from the dealer in Van Nuys)
    10,000 miles/year
    $558 license/registration fee (from the California DMV website)
    9.5% sales tax

    The leasehackr calculator says $488/month with $1395 drive-off.


    Maybe they reached their goals this weekend because they wouldn't budge. The guy just kept telling me this quote was over $100/month less than the one some woman had just agreed to on "a beautiful red and white model with an MSRP of only about $1000 more." (After the third time I said, "That's her problem," and he didn't mention her again.) When it became clear his price was firm, I left.


    I've never leased a car before and I haven't bought one in 19 years when PriceLine made it really easy to pit the dealers against each other. Am I being unrealistic to think I should be able to get this car for under $500/month with the $1395 drive-off? Did I mess up the calculations, is it something about the time of year, or is that particular dealer just playing hardball?

    Should the money factor and residual percentage vary from dealer to dealer? If so, would you mind sharing the numbers you have for 24 months for Santa Monica (90404), Van Nuys (91401), Glendale (91204), and Downey (90241), California?

    Alfa numbers are national, and are set to expire today. Dealer can mark up MF for more profit, but residual is fixed by the bank.

    Not sure where you've got your MF, because it shows as .00007 for this month for the Ti Sport RWD, and 58% residual for 24/10.

    It's possible the dealer was using Ally or US Bank for their numbers; we don't have them to confirm, however.

    We don't track pricing, so can't help you with what your target should be.

    The only drive off you should have is first payment and DMV costs (which usually run about 1.1% of MSRP in CA)

    Sorry. I misspoke regarding the "0.000067" figure. I didn't get it here. The Van Nuys dealer quoted "0.16%", which converts to 0.00006666.... The printout the Downey dealer showed me also had "0.000067" on it.

    I'm new to this. Is it the location of the dealer's or the buyer's address that determines the MF and Residual numbers?

    If it's the dealer's, can I please have the Ti Sport RWD numbers for a 24- and 36-month lease at 92626?

    If it's the buyer's home, can I have them for 90266?
