    Yes it's from a 1960 Healey 3000 Mk>III. Versions prior to the MKII had no wood on the dash. IMO it's a candidate for prettiest dash ever matched only by

    Actually, it's a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, except it's not. VW China has decided to spinoff "Jetta" as a separate brand selling the sedan and a pair of SUV/CUVs (Tiguan + Atlas?). I don't know what the model names will be (Jetta Jetta?)

    Apparently Chinese consumers really like big showy grillework which accounts for the yuck front end. I assume Toyota and Lexus sell very well in the Chinese market. :(

    So a brand only sold in China and manufactured in China as a lookalike sedan to every other similar-class sedan made over there seems to me to be a generic Asian sedan.

    I think it's going to be China only. Volkswagen was one of the very early entrants into the Chinese market and the VW brand is highly regarded. I don't know why they think a Jetta Jetta would sell any better than a VW Jetta.

    It's a mystery to me but then I never "got" Scion.

    Was working a block away from where this was taken. There's a guy crossing the street that looks like me. I'll call out the red Fiat 124 Spider turning onto 7th Avenue. I owned a yellow '71 Spider 1600 at the time.

    Yep, they made a total of about 200 total in '59 and '60. Super expensive, I believe.

    Yep Ford Germany. And like the Cortina replaced by Sierra.

    edit to add: When I looked up Sierra on wiki I found this statement, "Its aerodynamic styling was ahead of its time and as such, many conservative buyers (including company car drivers) did not take fondly to the Ford Cortina's replacement." I do recall reading that in CD magazine at the time as well. The Cortina was a very well liked car and its replacement was very different looking. But I liked the Sierra a lot from the first pic I saw back then.

    Yup, It's definitely a 1960 Merc, probably a Monterey. The odd c-pillar is the same as on the contemporary Lincoln but without the canted back window. Skirts look good on it. '60 was the last ¥r for wraparound glass on just about everything and I don't think they ever were any bigger than on the '59-'60 Mercuries.

    Those Mercs convertibles even had wraparound plastic rear windows. I have to wonder how they held up over time after being compressed under the top many times. Those clear plastic windows were barely adequate even when new.

    Yup, it's a 1973 Buick Centurion; I don't know the answer to your question but I doubt it replaced the Lesabre which was still in the lineup at the turn of this century.

    I've had a soft spot for the big Buick ragtops since i got a chance to drive a well-equipped
    1962 Electra/401 which was the same colors as the pictured car.

    Good job of reading the door plaque Tmart.

    Specifically it's a 1950 Hudson Commodore Brougham. It was owned by Actor Steve McQueen at one time. The Commodore Brougham convertibles were top of the Hudson line.

    Always bugs me when people install cheesy aftermarket gauges under the dash on a nice car like that. I personally would just hook up inconspicuous audible alarms. You can't read those gauges anyway at night, and barely in the daytime when they are positioned like that.
