EZ Pass only takes a picture if there is a violation. Since I reported it today, the prior trips were not in violation. If they try to use it in the future, a pic will be taken.
The guy that had his STi stolen Friday found activity on his account as well. Mine and his were within a couple of exits of each other.

We got the results from Susan's biopsy; there is bad news and good news.
First, the biopsy came back positive; we spent the weekend in dread of htis morning's appointment with the doctor to find out the depth of the damage.
The good news: the first thing the doctor said was that it looks very encouraging; the size looks to be under 2 cm and it is coming out next Thursday morning on an outpatient basis; it takes only an hour and she goes home; this is truly amazing when you think of how breast cancer was handled not that long ago. Radiation therapy will follow Mon-Fri for six weeks; this is due to the low dosage of the radiation. The last thing the doctor said to us was..."we'll have you as good as new in those 6 weeks". Her mom is also a cancer survivor. Needless to say, we were greatly relieved. This evening, Michael will find out; we had delayed telling him for 2 reasons: 1) we wanted as much inforamtion as possible and 2) he had a math test this morning.
Anyway, we can breath a bit easier..
Dennis, sorry to hear about the theft; that sucks bigtime...seems to be an epidemic in your area.
Susan's car got a new alternator this morning; the battery and brake lights have been coming on sporadiccally at the same time...all fixed.
I will keep you folks informed as things progress.
Thanks for being buddies.
Serge
Hang in there. I am sure everything will work out for Susan and you.

Stay strong and upbeat!

I hope hers is also small, and recovery, quick.
On a lighter note, I had a telephone interview with someone from the NY Times, and they want to send a photographer to my house to take my picture. Dunno, but my wife says that's a big deal, if they pay a professional to do a photo shoot, it may even be a cover story.
We'll see how it pans out...

I have to wash it tonight! :-)
This is for the "Cars" special section that comes out once a year, for October 27th.

Do I know how to suck up, or what?
Edit: Saw your post after I posted this. That's great! I'll tell Sylvia. I'm sure she will want upper management to know we have a celebrity in the Town Hall!
My wife is in PR, and she's given me a crash course in media training. For example, speak in sound bites, generally try to be easy to quote, speak clearly, etc.
I guess they liked my interview, they want an old photo of the 626, and to come take a photo of our new Legacy. She wants us to look like we're having fun. Maybe I'll stick the kids out the mooonroof or something, LOL.
OK, Bob, now the pressure's on you, given our friendly rivalry, to get quoted/published again. ;-)

NYT? That's certainly exciting! I'll have to remember to buy that issue.
Hey, maybe SOA would be willing to give you a free detailing to look good for the photo shoot. Just make sure they don't get carnauba wax in your eyes. ;-D

Where's Ross?! ;-)

Dennis: I would not be surprised if you get a picture back from EZ-Pass with your car in it. I sense that WRX's are being stolen more for joyrides than chopshops.
Juice: Congrats on your big photo-op. Now go do us proud!

You missed my punch line! Perhaps I should have wrote "don't let them Armor-All your sneakers".

I hope Susan is okay. We went through the breast cancer scare with mum a couple of times when she had lumps removed. Happilly on each occassion, they were non malignant but the stress for all concerned was a bit much. The only upside was that collectively the family lost weight with the worry.
Thinking of you and Susan.
Cheers

CF is no fun. One of my daughter's friends has it as do his two brothers. Poor parents look permanently fraught.
The stress on parents of chronically ill children is constant with increased peaks when crises develop. Tamsin is a fragile asthmatic and I became quite skilled in rush trips to hospital in the middle of the night. One memorable night, when she was about the same age as your little one, had me driving 25 miles across black ice in rural England at midnight with the kid apprently breathing her last next to me.
Inevitably, having got her to the hospital, the kid came good. She then proceeded to entertain the nurses with a floor show until dawn. My wife was unimpressed as she switched from concern for the very ill kid to wanting to discipline her.
Hope the drugs do the trick
Cheers

Dennis: still sending good thoughts your way. Can you please e-mail me your cell phone number? I tried calling you last night using the number I have for you and got a voice mailbox that wasn't yours.
Ed
Cheers Pat.
and a few thoughts (but directed toward Texas again and not here with me) .. my oldest daughter was to go in about 6 this evening to be induced to give birth to her third child - and our first granddaughter ... so I'm waiting to 'hear' ..

As always, this crew sticks together thru thick and thin, and it is a very comforting thought.
Jim: I'm sure the docs are taking every precaution possible. Let's hope they kick this thing ASAP.
First granddaughter? Congrats, Brenda. You gotta give us the specs when she's born.
Figures a car guy would use a term like "specs" for birth weight and height, LOL.

BTW, congrats on the NY Times interview!

I'd write more but I have car wax I gotta rinse out of my eyes. ;-)

As many of you know, we are a full "9 months pregnant" in our bid to adopt our second child from China. We should have the full package in our hands (all the information about her) within a few days, and be on our way within a few weeks. We expressed a preference of up to 24 months old, but toddlers seem to be the most available and often referred to adoptive parents. And she could be almost anywhere in a very large country.
Crew, your mission is to guess the age and nearest major city for us to fly into! So get out your globe and learn some geography. Closest member wins a beer....
Steve
Age? 4 years. My daughter's age. :-)
Bet you can't wait 'til Gotcha Day.

Emily would love a 4 year old to play with, but Beth wants an infant. I pushed for 24-30 months.
Think younger on the guessing - maybe 12-15 months, but we really have no idea. My guess is no better than yours!
Steve
How exciting!
My guess: Beijing, 30 months old.
Good luck!

One of my nieces came from Anshan, so that's my guess along with 16 (one of my lucky/hockey numbers) months.
Keep us posted,
