    Hello mods, after browsing this NX thread, I seem to notice a general trend that as the model year starts in July and winds down in May/June, the residual seems to go down.

    Of course things change month to month, but the residual trend seems to be more consistently downward than MF and incentive fluctuations.

    Is this because as the model year progresses, the resale timeframe for the dealer gets pushed back, e.g.:

    36-month lease starting in July 2018 = dealer can resell in July 2021
    36-month lease starting in December 2018 = dealer can resell in December 2021
    36-month lease starting in May 2019 = dealer can resell in May 2022

    Depending upon how 'general' you want to get. :wink:

    You won't get the same type of discounting at the beginning of the model year as you might later on.

    Can't look at residual in a vacuum; the MF and incentives can also be altered throughout the year to compensate for a sagging residual.

    Two quick questions - 1). what is maintenance cost for Lexus and get it be residualized / impact residual value % like Mercedes? 2). Does Lexus do MSDs and if so what are rates today?
