he's aiming for a low profile wedding to get things rolling.

Smart man! We went low-profile too, and it was a good move. Congratulations!

    Patti,

That's great news! I laughed as I realized you were throwing us a curve ball there.

Congratulations to your new and extended family!

    on your sons upcoming wedding!

Now as for you, I think you need a new baby to backfill as your oldest moves out!! You might be surprised, but three of the families on our adoption trip were doing just that. Parents in their 50's with grown or near grown kids, suddenly craving a 'second generation' family.

Congrats on your son's upcoming nuptials and future family...so, can we start calling you Granny Patti now?
  • damish003damish003 Member Posts: 303
Oh Serge, I don't know that I'd call her that. A cyber-slap may be forthcoming. <g>

Great news, Patti! All the best to the family.

    Congrats Patti!

This is the year of weddings. My boss's son gets married in 1 1/2 weeks, my niece in October, a good friend by the end of the year, and now your son! 2004 - a good year.

Cool, Patti. Your son sounds a lot like mine, very easy going.

That Tantrum looks just like the latest VW Concept T. And yes, I found quite a bit of humor in that, especially since the VW was not supposed to be a joke!

Check out Future Models for the new Outback.

OK, question, who will be the first to buy a 2005 Legacy or Outback?

Any early purchasers here at the Crew?

I think you're it, although the fence you are sitting on will be composed of difference choices? How many different models will have been out while you've been on it?

    Now, about the 7 seater...:)

    Robert
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
The Fence has included several models all along, but you could say the Forester XT was the model that created it. Before that a WRX wagon was the only performance option for the utility minded among us.

Subie owners looking to upgrade suddenly had 2 good choices. Leg turbo makes it 3. OB XT makes it 4. The H6 now makes 250hp and you could say even 5 options exist.

Imagine the fun we'd have driving all 5 back-to-back, you couldn't ever wipe the smile off my face.

You had me going for a minute. lol. Your daughter-in-law is a lucky lady because she will have you as a mother-in-law, and a chance to drive turbo Subarus. :)

    Tell your son congrats.

Sorry, all you young'ns - be 66 this coming May. The mind likes to think I still 40ish, but the body is weak ;^) So, I'm a pre-WWII baby. But most people think I'm about 10 years younger (don't I wish)

After a long snow drought, we've received several feet over the past several weeks. It finally looks like winter in the Twin Cities.

With the new OB, I think you may have to make room on the fence for one more. I liked the way the Forester XT handled, but I like the new look on the Legacy and OB. I want to compare the OB XT limited and the Legacy GT. They both appear similar in features, so I am curious as to differences in price, as well any handling differences.

With the new design, including the improved safety features, hopefully I can sell the wife on the need to upgrade this summer/fall. Especially with all we've gone through recently.

Juice, my 2005 GT LTD in Silver will have to wait until at least next winter. Guess it won't be me!

With Paul here, age is a state of mind, I still think I am 21, mind you a look in the mirror soon puts that out of my head:-)

Greg,I tell you man, with the nuts that are on the road now you risk your life if you even flip one of these crazies the bird.

      Cheers Pat.

The guy tried to pass me on a narrow, windy, ice covered moutain road until he saw I was behind a truck. This proceeded to the highway where I passed the truck with him behind me and then he tried to pass me on the right. I moved over before he passed. He then passed on the left, blocked both lanes and stopped! (Taconic Pkwy for those who know) He wanted to fight. Of course, I was giving him some good ol NY hospitality. My cooler head prevailed, but I was hoping he would get off my exit. I'm still pissed.

With juice, it will eventually catch up to them, one day they will want to fight somebody that is even more nuts than they are, seen that happen more than once.

Greg, yeah just let it go, that idiot will bump into the right person someday and both morons can clobber themselves.

Mike: congratulations on your birthday and impending nuptials. And in the same breath, condolences on crossing the big 30 and most certainly condolences to your future wife!! ;-)

If it ever happens again, get the license plate and call it in to complain. Can't hurt.

Of our two local Subaru dealers is advertising that they have had the best sales year ever.

I can believe that, the number of Subarus here seems to grow by the day, for instance our Doctor has his office in a small local strip mall, I took Rita there this morning for her yearly checkup and in that small mall counting Titan there were 5 Subies.

    2 Foresters, 1 Outback a Legacy L and Titan.

      Cheers Pat.

so far it's me, Paul, and MNSteve ..
mine's on the 7th ... when are the other may festivities?

Congratulations on the impending arrival Patti!

(See you guys in chat tonight if my feeble little brain remembers!)
  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
I gave up on road rage a while ago. Unless I have a caravan of at least 5 subies, I never get involved in anything, I let em go. Not worth it. Same thing with racing guys on the highway. I used to go after em and see if I could beat em out, but ever since hitting the track, I realize it's way tooo dangerous out there w/o flaggers to be hamering down on the public roads.

I'll try to remember the chat. But they say the first thing to go is the mind. Now where did I put that important note.......... and can I remember about the chat. But first I have to get the wife's computer working on the network again. So far her computer says the network card is working. At my end (Win2000 Pro) there is no other computer on the network.

In the past with some of my more sporty vehicles, I used to "suck" them into a clover leaf on the freeway (if one was handy). Used the old adage - "in slow, out fast". But then nowadays, road rage has reached new levels with beatings, pushing cars off ramps and shootings. Too many times I wished for a paintball machine gun. Too many idiots out there in their big, hulking 4x4's. Of course, they do go further off the road when they finally lose traction during snow storms. But they block me cause my OBW w/Blizzaks is sooo stable when the white stuff is falling from the ski.

My dad is 'enjoying' day #2 at a hospital in New Brunswick, NJ (Bob's old stomping grounds??) after taking a fall on the ice and breaking 4 ribs. Not much you can do for broken ribs, but he is having trouble taking sufficiently deep breaths, so they want to keep an eye on him. So take it easy out there....

Greg - stay away from the nuts. Please...

Wow, 204 posts yesterday in the Future Models discussion. That's at least a Crew record if not a Town Hall one!
