    Thanks ... I have some newbie questions on how I should be calculating this....

    MSRP = 33,500
    Negotiated Price = 27k (assume based off of Edmunds TMV listing)
    Less discounts of 7500+2250 ==> cost of car is 27k- 9750 = 17,250
    Residual is 34% off of MSRP = 11,390

    Monthly = (17,250-11390)/36 = 5860/36 = 163 + lease cost (MF) + tax

    Is this directionally correct? Esp .. are the discounts/incentives off of the negotiated price?

    Not quite.

    There is a $6000 purchase incentive on the e-Golf, which is part of the TMV price

    So, you'd only subtract $1500 (delta between purchase and lease incentive) and the $2250 incentives

    The dealer in Seattle WA says there is no lease incentive for leasing the car. Only $8000 off if u finance the car through VW. Also he said no way the lease could be around $250. How should we approach him?

    Hello,

    May I ask where you found the $3750 dealer incentive? I went to the closest dealer to 94403 (Boardwalk VW) today, and they claimed they didn't know anything about that incentive--they claimed only the $7500 from the EV credit was active. I didn't know where the number had come from, so it was hard to rebut. I know the dealer is being shady, but is it at all possible to have a source for those incentives to be prepared for my visit to the next dealer in the area (not Boardwalk!)?
