That's a 1953 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe convertible, from back when "Detroit iron" really meant something, a big, substantial car. Hard to imagine how different that model would be in just 4 model years time. Unfortunately that year still used the antiquated "Fluid Drive" transmission, as the 2-speed Power-Flite did not arrive until 1954 and the 3-speed Torque-Flite in 1956.

You're exactly right AB. For some reason I've always had a real liking for the '53-'54 MoPars
and that beauty is the top-of-the line IIRC.

They had a European look about them with their graceful non-gimmicky styling, enhanced by the optional Kelsey-Hayes or Dayton wire wheels (unfortunately those were troublesome.)

The Bugeye Sprite surely passed the Petroleum Dealers Safety Check regimen since it was equipped with not only bumper guards but a sturdy grille guard as well!! Seat belts? What are those?

I think we're going to need a little hint w that one. It looks vaguely like a prototype sports racer but the wheels/tires look street. I follow sports proto/endurance racing and I just don't recognize it. Clues?

that sports car is production made street car. Italian. 1st road car by a company that usually makes tubs, etc. for race cars. Lots of carbon fiber in that baby.

Bingo on the '59 flattop but from the side there's very little difference between the '63 and '64. At TOM they're saying '63 so I guess you're right.

You are right, it's a 48 Kaiser, I saw one recently and noticed something I hadn't noticed before. Our first family car was a 1947 Frazer, the big borther of the more well-known Kaiser. What I saw for the first time was that Kaisers and Frazers were among the more stylish of the immediate postwar era. They were a styling evolution ahead of the lower end GMs, Fords, Mercurys and especially MoPars which were more upright and had the same basic styling as on Pearl Harbor day.

Allow me to illustrate:

For sure. They did well at first IIRC but were more expensive than the low-priced 3, so once those guys updated their bodies for '49, K-F became less competitive. I think their engines also were considered somewhat second-rate. K-F also could not produce the variety of different body styles the competitors offered. Too bad because I quite liked some of their fancier models.

Two things........
That '47 Ford is a '47.5. Unlike the first '47s to come off the line, it has had its parking lights moved to below the headlights and it has a nose badge displaying whether the engine is a 6 or 8.
As to the Frazer, it's not a '47. Ok, pop quiz, which year(s) is it?

The front plate is marked 1949 so I'll guess 1949.

That Frazer is a 1949/1950. The production of the 1949 ended in February 1950! Then began the production of the 1951 later in February 1950. One can easily identify the 1951 with its having that "interesting" chrome nose.

It's not a CSi, it's the twin carb version sold as a 1973 BMW 3.0CS

It's tricky to pinpoint the years on these, the real Bimmerheads know which versions were made when or just lump them together under the type designator E9(1968-75).

I think the wheels are Italian-made Cromodora alloys which came with most US market E9s
Smaller versions were optional on Fiat 124 Sports.

'67 would've been the early part of the type/number scheme. There are obvious similarities but I imagine they had to significantly revise the chassis to accomodate the longer six cyl. motors

In 1965, BMW ended production of their Bertone-bodied 3200 CS coupé, the last of their line of V8 powered luxury cars from the 1950s. BMW decided to continue with a coachbuilt coupé.
