I got a lease quote here in Texas as follows :

Model 2020 MDX FWD Technology Pack
MSRP : $50,395
Sale Price : $ 38395
TTL : $5000
Total Cost : $43,395

Monthly Payment : $655 , $0 Down

12,000 miles annually

MF : .000225 RV : 62%

Not able to understand why the monthly payment is so high. Is this a good deal?

Your tax obligation in Texas is for the entire selling price, which inflates the payment.

Do you have an itemization of the TTL; I find it hard to believe it's a round number.

What lease term?

36 months lease. Tax is 6.25 %. Rest all is dealers fee. They didn't let me take the lease quote out. That's why I am rounding off to the nearest I remember.

TX taxes the full price of the vehicle, even on a lease. While most states only tax the monthly payment. TX lease payments will never look that great, in comparison.

I'm negotiating a MDX lease for a SH-AWD - A-Spec. I told them money factor should be .00215 and they came back and said that the MF is .00225 unless you are coming off a current Acura lease. Is that correct? I am getting the $1,000 rebate for being a BMW owner and the discount off the MSRP of $55,895 is $9,700 so not too bad. Also the pre-delivery service charge is $799 - is this excessive?

I was able to get a discount of $11030 + $1000 in incentive on a MDX Aspec 36/10k lease. MF .00225. MSRP $56025, SP $44995. Didn't sign as i was looking for SP of $43500 highest.

Residual - 55%

Not sure if the above deal is good or not. I don't remember the exact lease payment he quoted as I was more worried about the other numbers and thought lease payment I can calculate using the Lease calculator if the number makes sense.

Correct - .00225 is the "base" MF unless you are a returning customer, or you make a single security deposit, which we recommend.

What ZIP code do you live in? It could be that up to $7200 of that $9700 discount is coming from Acura, so there could be room to move on the selling price.

$799 dealer fee is normal in some states, sadly.

MSRP: 52,525
Sale price: 39,800 + tax + 799 dealer processing fees.

Had to fight over the promo APR though (financing 60 months)

.00084 is for NY/NJ/CA only; dealer may be reading from the wrong table.

Check with a second dealer.
