It's a markup, pure and simple.
Tell them you know the money factor is marked up, and you want the base rate and lower payment.

Tell them that Costco said you'd get the lowest price going through them, but they didn't say anything about the dealer making it up on the back end.

Had same issue, good advice!

I'm seeing on Buicks site when I build a car and at the end it comes up with payments... I see for a lease it is .00017 or .41 % is this correct nation wide? My interest is that I seem to have a great offer but can't quit figure it out.
I have a Awd Essence with options totaling to MSRP of 48755.
my trade equity is $2K plus $1k down. Month payments total is 447 including 10% tax. This is in the Pittsburgh Pa. 15260 area.
I'm trying to figure why this seems to good to me. Does this fit the .00017 MF if the RS is 55%?

.00017 is the correct MF for either 36 or 39 months.

What specific lease term and miles per year are you looking at?

36/12 residual is 58%, which is why the payment is lower than you anticipated.
But, I don't see any lease incentives - what is the $2500 the dealer is using?

48755 - 2524 - 2500 - 2000 - 1000 = $40,731

I calculate $358/mo, plus tax, with those numbers.

But, you have to factor in the acquisition fee ($595), the dealer doc fee ($141, I think, in PA), and the DMV costs, all of which, plus the first payment, are likely coming out of the $1000 cash and $2000 trade equity.

Ask the dealer for a copy of their lease worksheet, and we can understand better how they arrived at their payment quote.

$447 is $406/mo, pre-tax

Adjusted CAP would have to be approx. $42,500 to achieve that payment.
If you add the $595 acquisition fee to your numbers, the payment calculation seems about right.

Assuming your $1000 pays first payment, and DMV/doc fees

I think I'd want a bigger discount from the dealer than just 5% of MSRP.

That is to me.... extremely low!
As anyone ever seen that low of a rate for a lease?

Thank you for the quick reply. I have just a couple follow ups. The incentives depend on where your car is registered, right? Not where you lease it? The reason I ask is that a few posts above is south Jersey. I am in north Jersey. I noticed they have $1250 in incentives and we have none. Also, out of curiosity, any idea how many regions the leasing company breaks the map into. I’m guessing there aren’t different incentives for every town? Thanks again.

Dealer location.. I'm sure the incentives are by market (so, Philadelphia could be different from NYC)

Ok so if I go down to Philly my deal should be $1250 better, assuming I negotiate the same pre incentive deal at both dealerships? I realize the MFs are a little different but that shouldn’t make a difference of more than a couple dollars.
