= $510 effective discount
+$1094 to payoff old lease
= $1604 effective discount.

That's just okay... then, the MF appears to be marked up from .00050 (assuming credit is top tier).

What is the hurry on trading in this lease? If the dealer is cutting you a check, you are still on the hook for any lease end charges, and have to keep it insured until it's time to turn it in. I'd ride it out, and come back closer to lease end.

Thanks. I thought you might be referring to MY20...Your advice is noted. If it were my car, I’d probably wait, but It’s my sisters car, and she wants out. So...

But It doesn’t sound like she has a great deal yet. What can I do? How much more can I realistically expect to get? We have another dealer offering $360 with the same deal points, but I’m getting the sense there’s not much more that they’re willing to do.

If you're working with multiple dealers and the best you can do is $360/mo, that may be it.

Unless you want to widen the search to include more dealers.

Edmunds price tools

VW salesperson said the best he can do for 15k/36 is MF 0.00093 and 49% Residual. I mentioned Edmunds gave better numbers and he said "well then Lease it from Edmunds". So I'm going to try for a KIA Forte.
