    I’m sure the coves and flags tell the experts the year but I will guess that it is a ‘62 C1 corvette.

    I don't think it's a '62. Didn't those have the rear end of a C2? (or headed that direction)

    Bingo Tmart! The hood louvers in the center of the hood are unique to the 1958 MY as are the twin
    chrome strips across the trunk>

    I loved those when they came out. A friend of mine in HS family got one. I drove it once (don’t tell his mom)

    Yup it's a 1970 Ford Fiesta built at German Ford in Cologne. Had one for a loner once and enjoyed the way it drove.

    Yup Impalas weren 't as long as Caddies Lincolns or even Chryslers. Across the street we can see the tail of a '58 Chevy and the nose of a '55-ish Olds.

    can't read the badge to tell if that is a 260Z but I will guess that. SAAB 900 in front of it.

    Left of the SAAB looks like an early white 4 door Mazda with the round taillights. and bottom right, next to a Lemans, another SAAB.

    Sorry I have been away from computer so didn't come back to you sooner but I think Fin has summarised the vans pretty well

    At extreme left the large van beside the A70 Hereford is a BMC / Austin LD van - they did also badge some of these as Morris at this time.

    If you look closely there is a pick-up truck beyond that - that is a Morris Minor pick up.

    to the right of the A70 is a Commer FC van - they also called it a 3/4 ton model. -this is an early one from about 1958/60 as they didnt fit them with a proper grille at first and this is one of those - they always overheated apparently so the front was modified subsequently.

    Right of the Commer is a Ford Thames 400E van and there are a couple more of those in the background facing the other way - one directly behind it and also a minibus version(Matchbox made a toy of one of those in turquoise and yellow..)

    Going further back you can see an Austin Cambridge A50 based van - two rear doors - and to the right of that is an ancient Bedford truck / van

    Also the Cornells Lorry is a Bedford TK model but it is faced by another old van which I think is a Morris another old Morris of some sort but it might be an Austin

    To the right side of the picture there is what I think is a Ford Thames 105 van ( the Anglia van) - this one has a roof rack.

    Right at the end is an Austin A30/A35 van - as seen with Wallace & Grommit

    Any insights into that blue car? This is my era, and I still don't have a clue. It's obviously a sporty (in the jargon of the day) coupe, and the color is a common one on Mustangs of that era. But the C-pillar doesn't look right.

    I should have said aqua was the car that seemed familiar but I can't place. But the blue one next to it also looks familiar for the rear window and roof.
    At first I thought the square C-pillar might be a 1960 Galaxie 2 door.

    First time I drove in America was from an Avis car rental garage off Union Square in San Francisco straight out over the Golden Gate Bridge - on Labour (sorry Labor) day 2000

    We went up the coast to Portland Oregon and made our way backdown over the high plains desert through places like Madras, Bend, down to Crater lake and eventually down to Sacremento and SF

    Car was a Buick Century and it felt huge ( my car in London at that time was my old MGB)

    Glad we didnt get caught in any gridlock that day as it would have jaded it somehow.

    Ah the Daytona Beach pic. I see nothing newer than the 57. Another Ford convertible at L, black, perhaps a 55.

    The black Ford convertible is a 56 as is the tutone green and white four door Fairlane and blue and white Custom. Looks like a 52 Ford at the water’s edge. Also some Ford shoeboxes. I agree the 57 appears to be the newest.
